FS2004 seems to have taken several subtle steps backward...FS2002 recognized record 334 in the .air file as "Gyro Drift Available", and it could be set "false" for aircraft with slaved gyros, so that they would not drift.As near as I can tell, this seems to be ignored for FS9, and the gyros drift whether this record is set "false" or not.Is there some other way (Other than the realism setting) to suppress gyro drift in 2004???Art

I Know that this type of card, does not support the water reflectiions in FS2004. But since FS2004, we have downloaded loads of drivers updates, and nothing still with the water problem. I would love to know if someone has any information, I have read so many tweaks for lots fo things, but had never found any that fix this problem. I'm desperate, really I am, and need any tip. By the way, if your tip will be "buy another card" please don't reply this post, that won't help, and all GeForce4 users already know it will be better to buy another, but some of us can't.Thanks in Advance!

Hello,I've got windows2000, fs9, fsnavigator and freeware fsuipc (unregistered). I haven't a registered version of the navdat99 v1.3.I've installed the a320 panel by eric marciano, the fs2004 .gau patch, the gauge configurator .ini inside the gauge folder, and finally the nd99v13 program (navdata99 v1.3 by tony d'ambrosio).problem:I create a plan in fsnav, export to fs2004; load in the fs2004 fligt planner.It'll show up in the ndisplay (at the bottom of the panel) under flightplan but:1) I can't see any airport or navfix infos; it says INOP.2) once loaded the flightplan into the ndisplay, how can I tell the airbus to fly it automaticly?3) navdat99.exe hangs while loading …

In 98 and 2000 the world was flat and boring so I flew the lear and 73 all the time. The fun was navigation thru VOR's and airways. With 2002 providing auto gen the fun was switched to flying low and slow in the 172 with the new VC with navigation being landmarks. Currnetly I am on a US tour with the new sim flying into all 48 state capitals along with national sites, High detail airports and big cities. I uploaded scenery that adds thousands of scenery objects (trees, boats, etc) to the fs2004 scenery area. This is the first time I have placed scenery, if you download this and get it to work could you reply to my post in the scenery design forum?

I am unable too see ai aircraft after downloading and installing and running the resized runway textures...

I have problems with my PC flying particularly, withthe SSW A310!I have a medium-high system, PIV 2.6 GHZ, Asus GE4 128 MB,512 MB of RAM, with latest sound and video card drivers.I noticed that the WindowsXP Task Manager shows when the A310 is loaded up to 1.4 GB of page file usage! Please see the attached screenshot.Windows claims then that is is low in virtual memory and FS crashes. Does anybody has any suggestion to improve the perfomance of my system? I am thinking of increasing RAM of an additional 256 MB but I am not sure whether this will solve the problem. What is the meaning of this high value of page file usage? I don

Hi,I have a really strange problem...(I have an epic, it expansion module with some analogs, FS2002 & epicinfo and the flightlink KR1 radiostack.)The Y-rotation windows axis is my 'prop pitch'. I even see it moving in the "game controllers" & epicenter.In FS2002, i assign an axis to 'proppelor,' I move the analog, and FS2002 successfully recognizes 'Y-rot' as the name of the axis.Now, when i move the analog, FS2002 does not react to it. Even after checking some calibration & sensitivities.If I reprogram my epic .epl code, to use the Z-rotation, or X-rotation, and do the same 'assign axis' procedure in FS2002, then it DOES WORK !!!I have searched the internet…

Hi!I read the review here at AVSIM about MelJet's 777 and in the review a photorealistic cabin by Gerrit Kranenbarg was referred to. I have now downloaded it and put the new .bmp files in the Texture folder under my MelJet 777-200ER but the cabin still looks the same and I don't know where I went wrong...please help.Also wondering if anyone had the taxi lights to lit up the runway fron inside this AC? Works fine when looking from outside but not when in the cockpit. How ever, the landing lights work well both from in- and outside views.TIA,Richard

Anyone know of a way to get real weather into the game without the use of fsmeteo or similiar, OR by manually inputting all the station data.As my copy of fsmeteo isn't work i am unable to do any real flying without the weather. If there is a way to get some weather in there i'd love to know.Oh and the machine is not connected to the internet either

Greetings,I have a P2.8GHz Pentium4, 1Gb DDR 400 Ram, ATI 9800 Pro 256Mb card, plus 2 PCI Nvidia Cards to drive my other 2 monitors. I run Windows XP SP1 on this machine and it is totally devoted to flightsimming.Everything worked perfectly in FS2002.Due to the full screen multi-monitor hassles in FS2004 (shame Micro$oft shame) I would love to run in windowed mode however I have a very annoying problem that I am unable to fix.When I put the default GPS or the RealityXP GPS onto one of my secondary monitors I get a slight stutter on the main monitor exactly every 10 seconds. This is annoying as the sim basically "freezes" for a fraction of a second every 10 seconds.Please …

Since his release, livery support has been growing as it does for all of his great work. It's unique among the tprops out there, in that it offers animated wing views...a great feature for an aircraft like the 120. I have been thinking about buying the PMDG 737NG and I was wondering if it is the right plane for me? I am a pretty good FS pilot, but seeing the features of the PMDG plane has me wondering if this plane is to big of a learning curve for me. In the features it says it has complete FMC and EFIS controls and most switches, knobs and systems are operable. Now the only payware planes I have are the Eaglesoft planes, and the panels in those planes are not that complicated. All of the other panels I have are either default ones or downloaded ones. I don't even know what the FMC and EFIS are and do. So beafore I pay $39.95 do you think this plane may be to much plane for me?

I can't tell the difference except in fps AND Tower view.This post is really not directed to the folks with Gig machines and $400 video cards or people with stock in nVida or ATI. It's for the guys like me who have to make do with what we got. Win ME, Pent III 700 mhz, 440 MX 64MB (4345 drivers), 384 MB RAM.I brought my resolution settings over from FS2002 where I was using 800x600x32 to keep my FPS up. I WAS using the same resolution in FS2004. I'm not really clear on what controls what. Ok I went down to the shop this morning and bought FS2004 and bought it back and intalled it on my system....First time I tryed to start it I get "Please insert FS2004 Disc4, select OK and restart application" error.. now I have the CD in the drive and when i click the FS9 Shortcut the cd drive become active and starts spinning but then gives me that message.. It all installed fine and I have no idea why it is doing this...System is Windows XP ProAMD Athlon XP 1800+ @ 1.56GhzGeforce2 GTS Pro 32MB256MB DDR RAMAnyone have any idea how to fix this??

So I must confer with the more experienced here.My machine:Intel P4A Northwood @ 2.0GGeForce 3 Ti200, 64Mg RAM512 Mg RAMSoundblaster AudigyCan't remember the mobo's model, but it's an Intel mobo.FS2K2 runs nicely with frame rate drops to 10-12 while panning views at large concentration AI airports. Guys and Gals, need your advice.I have read lately and am very concenrend about the debate regarding the apparent reduction in flight modeling of aircraft in FS2004.My primary interest in Flight Simming is replicating real world flight as accurately as possible. That means I'm primarliy focused on the flight model and panel. If FS2004 is a downgrade in the area of flight modeling....this is a serious concern to me!I'm also thinking of looking into X-plan since many real world aviation magazines are noting that flight school motion sims seem to be using X-plan since they seem to offer the best flight modeling in the flight sim world.
