I've a problem, I've got an AETI AFCSII Yoke, but my new system doesn't support gameports, i.e. USB only. Is there anything I can do, are there any gameport-USB adaptors? would the drivers still work?Any ideas

Running Windows ME and while in FS2004 there isn't any task bar on bottom of screen to click on internet connection. Does any one know of key strokes to bring up internet connection after FS2004 is loaded and any way to disconnect from internet after you download local weather. Thought about trying knee-board trick from (sensational discovery post) Anyone tried this approach to my problem and had it work???Thanks Chuck

I am using FS2002 and noticed that after I crank the sim rate to greater than 4x (long boring stretches on AP)and then slow down the rate again the program reloads scenery and AI files etc. Only happens when slowing down from 8x to 4x.Is this a common bug? Fixable? Or just a problem with my set-up.:-hmmm

I have problems with Fs2004!I have a medium-high system, PIV 2.56 GHZ, Asus GE4 128 MB, 512 MB of RAM, WinXP Pro, with latest sound and video card drivers.Yet, quite often, with some aircrafts loaded (for example, SSW A310 or even the default B747!), FS9 closes by itself, and WindowsXP Task Manager shows up to 1.5 GB of page file usage! In addition, Windows often claims then that is is low in virtual memory (I have more than 1 GB of virtual memory asigned). I also see stutters and a long loading time for VC panels (for the SSW A310 up to 50 seconds!!!) What is the meaning of this high value of page file usage? Is the 512 MB RAM not enough? Alright, seems most everyone is taking a good 5 FPS or so framerate hit when using the 2D panel of pretty much any aircraft. I get 15-20 FPS in the VC or external view most all the time, but my 2D panel performance always hangs around 8-12 FPS...enough of a diff that it turns into quite an unpleasant experience.I LOVE flying the VC and do so when flying the default jets, but I have some concern that when I add a payware plane (planning on on either the CS 727 or upcoming DF727) the VC detail will be such that it will slow my machine down and I'll have to use the 2D panel...Thoughts? I'd love to get my 2D panel performance up to that of the VC. I just can't see why the …

I've been using FS for nearly a month now and I've found what has been causing the stutters in the sim, it's the AI traffic. Turn it off and you get a very smooth ride, but put it on and and the sim stutters. Intially the stutters were not two bad and I put up with them, but when I installed volume2 of British airports the sim was unflyable, in the British area. I turned off AI traffic and there was no problem.I decided to wait for the British airports patch to see if it would help, but it didn't. I just picked up FS9 last week, and I must say that I am very impressed with it. I have been into combat flight sims for a long time, and always thought I would be bored with a civilian flight sim. Was I ever wrong! I absolutely love this sim, and I am totally hooked. I finally came to the realization that what I liked the most about flight sims was landing and taking off, so why not give FS9 a try. I'm sure glad that I did! It is kind of nice being able to concentrate on flying without worring about getting a missle up your butt. I can't see myself going back to the combat sims any time soon. I thought this was supposed to be fixed in FS9. I have loaded up a ton of AI from PAI, but take any major airport...Schiphol for example...and it's almost like a ghost town! A few KLM's here and there...one Transavia... I know we are all waiting for the new AFCAD to come out for better placement, etc., but why aren't the gates full? Thanks!

Hi!I just want to inform you, this driver causing my card (ASUS V9950 - FX5900 Ultra) about 70 degree celcius when my windows xp-pro startup, and increase to 75 degree when fsim is running and still going up. As a note my card is not overclocked.Compare to recent driver from ASUS (Win2KXP4523.zip) i.e. 45.23 ver, when startup the temperature is about 54 degree celcius (stabil), and about 55-56 degree when fsim running. So take care, don't make your card overheat when using this 45.33 driver.ps. I was curious to investigate this because someone on this forum or other forum (sorry can't remember) also experienced same problem. Thanks.

For the first time ever I started getting the warning box at start-up regarding possible non-compatible modules. I read through the FAQ at the top, but I don't quite understand it. It says to add the line to the FS9.cfg file. I don't see this file anywhere. There is a fs2000.cfg, but that's it.The file that is causing the warning is: FSSound.dll .Could someone help me out with how to fix this by giving a little more detail?ThanksTim13

1. On the Falcon 50, is this the EX model or just the original 50??2. On the Falcon 50 when below 10,000 feet and usually going through turbulence, I note the A/P misses the assigned Alt. hold. When coming out of the flight levels it is just fine on step down descents from ATC but when I get below 10,000 and go through some rough air it keep sdecending right through the target Alt. I have installed the patch as well on this.3. I know there are 2 AI payware products out there, one of which is Flight One...the other I forgot. It used to be easy in FS2002 to find the tower you departed from, then move it over to your arrival airport in order to view your landing from a fixed view in replay mode. Now I find it difficult to find the icon that represented the departure tower. Any ideas on how to accomplish this easily now in FS9?Noel

I thought that when you were ready to taxi for t/o that you could ask for another rwy than the one ground gave you. I know you can request a different one for landing. I was at KOAK over at parking by 27R. Ground had me go all the way over to 29. There was no option to request 27R. That's a bummer if you can't. Especially like at KOAK where GA is far away from 29 and you can't ask for the closer rwy or that ground wouldn't give it to you in the first place. I know at KPDX if I'm at flight craft on the north side it sends me to 28R/10L and if I'm parked on the south side it sends me to 28L/10R.John

Can anyone advise me where to find a Panel for the B747 - I have the Posky Opensky 747; but it uses the default B747 Panel. I know that 'at the moment' Aircraft and Panels for FS9 are in short supply :) - but someone out there 'juuust' might know of one.

Does anyone know if a version of AFCAD that is compatible with FS2004 will be released?From what I understand the parking situation in FS2004 is still quite limited.Thanks very much!
