I understand fuel consumption is attributed to a combination of many things (airspeed, weight, drag, %power, climb, etc), but does anyone have any recommendations as to how to improve fuel consumption on a B-737 when using MS Flight Simulator (2004). I've recently performed longer flights with a 737 (between islands in the Pacific Ocean), but was short on fuel when I attempted a flight from Guam to the Marshall Islands (although I did spend a lot of fuel taking-off and circling the airport due to the IFR).I also checked the Navigation Log, and the actual fuel burned on every leg was much more than the estimate. I recently upgraded from fs2002 to fs2004 (fs9) - yep, I'm a late-bloomer - and can't locate any .pdf's other than the 30-pg basic manual that also comes with fs9 as hardcopy. In fs2002, I made huge printouts of Ron Machado's Ground School lessons, an Aircraft Handbook covering all the included planes, a "Getting More from fs2002" book, etc. I looked on all four CD's, searched for .pdf under my install area, even searched these forums for "aircraft handbook" and "where manuals". Still no joy.Where are these manuals, or did M$ simply not include 'em in fs9?

Is their a tweak I can do in the aircraft.cfg file to reduce the sensitivity of my aircraft steering while taxing on the ground? I use rudder pedals to taxi, and all my aircraft steer fine except one which is way to sensitive. I don't want to change the sensitivity of my rudder pedals using FSUIPC or my rudder pedal software, because doing that, will change it for all aircraft which work fine...

What is this? I found it in FS9.CFG and when I changed it from 400 to 0 I get much better Frame rates and I didn't see any change.... :-)TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=0Erik

Hi,I'm interested in this product, but I'm wondering if anyone has it already and if you can answer come questions.Can I use my own planes and Airline? For example, can I use PSS Airbus, RFPB 747, and fly for Lufthansa? Will it have the real Lufthansa schedule, etc.?From what I have read, it's not clear to me if I can do this. I use cop v2.0 on RAFALE M.Everything works fine except the meatball of the hud.The red ball seems active (with no cross) but never mover and never become green and i get no sounds ??? The vertical and horizontal guide bars works perfectly...Any idea ???Sorry for my poor english (i'm french...) ans thank you for your replies.jf

If anyone has installed this ubdoubtedly teriffic add-on and could post your installation methodology, I would appreciate it. There is a 4 step install instruction link...next to which is an "install notes" link...that I didn't notice since I just soldiered on with the 4 steps and pretty well botched everything up beyond my meager powers to correct.I'm sure it's my own stupidity but so many add-ons have auto-installers that have worked flawlessly for me I just become easily confused with the manual process.Thanks,Jim

At several airports I have found an L1011 that appears to be part of the original MSFS AI aircraft. I have not placed it into the program. The problem is it has no textures. I have attempted to locate it within the MSFS files so I can add textures or remove it but can't find it anywhere. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution??

I mainly fly IFR and simulate real world flights, using real world weather. That said, I like to fly in the same weather, as the real flight has flown. I know where to download archived Metar reports and archived upper wind data, but can anyone point me to a site where I can download archived TAF's? Archived is the key here, I'm not looking for current TAF's..Thanks...

Can someone provide me with a working merge of the wonderful aicraft/panel. I've got most things down except the darn lights. The nav and recog lights are about a foot or two forward of where they should be.

I'm not sure what's happening, but as of late, every time I takeoff in FS9 my aircraft - and it happens with every plane, third party or default - veers to the left, pitches up severly then yaws dramatically right and stalls, right wing first, spinning to the ground! I've checked the control surfaces in spot plane, and interestingly, before the takeoff roll,they appear trimmed for this kind of scenario. Once I kick the rudder pedals and move the ailerons and elevator, they snap back into the neutral position. Hey,I'm trying to fly with B737-200 adv. series panel, but can't get it right = I'm starting with cold cockpit, so first I start APU, then get the engines going, ..., take-off, but after a certain time Electrics fault comes on and everything just dies :(. So something's wrong. What is the right procedure from a cold start to takeoff? Can anyone help?

Greetings, I've been flying the Kingair 350 for the past ? years, and I just moved up to the Learjet 45. Fantastic plane, but the question that I have is are the N1, N2, ITT setings too low? What an incredible jet Mr. Maltby has given us in the Trident. I flew it VFR for a few miles and was amazed at the flight dynamics, and the spectacular VC. The feeling in the VC when rolling down the runway (if you have ACTIVE CAMERA), has to be experienced to be believed.However, I don't quite know how to lock in the Altitude or make the Vertical Speed gauge kick in. Is there a tutorial somewhere on the AP? I thought I looked everywhere in the folder.

I seem to be running into a problem with the CYVR add-on scenery by Nigel. It seems as if FS9 doesn't want to see the afcad2 file. When I load up flight sim, I can only select a few gates which look like the game is using the default afcad. How can I fix this? I have everything in the correct location, and am trying the add-on afcad and scenery to it and it still doesn't work....I run scanafcad and the only duplicates it picks up are the taxi-way signs... ????Help! Hi All-Rarely post around here, but this idea has been bugging me for a while. Does anyone see the day when MSFS will be a MMO? I realize that there is VATSIM and IVAO already, but due to memberships and other factors, they can sometimes be a pain. Wonder if MS will treat future FS titles like other recent game console products? Does anyone remember Sky Routes? They used to have a website advertizing FS MMO, but their website is now gone. Would anyone else like to see this?Mike

I have the GREAT HS Trident installed. One livery is BEA. There is no Editvoicepack mod that I can find for BEA. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one? I did a google search with no hits. Thanks, regards, Bob.

I have been using FS2004 quite successfully for a long time. Out of the blue I am getting an blue-boxed ERROR message when flying (after about 20 minutes)that states : "Your computer has run out of available memory. FS will now exit. Check your disk....." .
