hey folks!i had the url to a flightsim site where you could insert your departure and arrival airport and the program on this site would calculate the best route, but i lost it. does anybody know where to find this webpage?thanx in advance

Hi, I hate to come here and ask qusetions about Dreamleet's forum, but I didn't know where else I could go. Anyhow, their forums don't seem to exist, I had a question about their 727, so i clicked on the Contact link at the top of the page, than I clicked on support and forums, and neither of those worked, I just go the usual "the page you are looking for, blah blah blah" message. I also looked through their website to try and find an email address, but no luck there either. Does anyone know where I can find their forums or a contact address?Thanks,Jeff

I am looking for one thing. Faster aircraft texture loads when I switch views. This is only in aircraft with VC's. 2D panels are fine. Planes like the Citation II & X, Cessna 310, Seneca V. I always seem to have this pause with the textures re-loading & it is really starting to drive me buggy. I have a P4-3.06Ghz with 1gig of ram & a Radeon 9600 256mg video card. I am running WinXP Home SP1. This seems to be the one thing that really take sthe joy out of flying for me. Just for the heck of it, I loaded up FS2002 with some of the planes mentioned & absolutly no pauses or skips in the switching views. I am really looking for help here. Thanks.

I know there is a way to set AI aircraft such that they do not display in the aircraft selection list, but will still appear in the Sim. Could someone please remind me how to do this, and is there a tool that helps when you have several aircraft to set in this way?Thanks,Stuart Hyett

I know that for overlapping mesh, the layer with lower priority (=lower number) has precedence over mesh with the same LOD in a layer with a higher priority.I put my landclass as far as possible to scenerybasescenery (has a very low layer number), but what happens if I have scenery with landclass bgls in e.g. layer 50 (overlapping, i.e. landclass for the same area)? Which one takes precedence?Andreas

Monday morning at work - seemed a good time for a boring question....Just wondering as to the difference between a "livery" and a "repaint"?I downloaded as an experiment a repaint from a New Zealand site, and ended up with a nice looking Air NZ plane, and a QANTAS plane.Size. Approx 1.3mbAnd I've downloaded very nice liveries from PMDG.Size. Approx 4.4mbGiven I got two repaints for 1.3mb, why are PMDG's 3mb larger? The only reason I ask this is I'm on a dial-up connection, so a minor issue like 3mb takes on some meaning....CheersTim

Recently I have downloaded and installed the Simshed C-130 C3 from Avsim. When I switch the radar on, the only thing I get is a yellow rectangle. In the panel.cfg file the reference to this gauge is TrafficRadar!Radar.I tried to find it but it is not in my files. I have sent an email to the author but I found in the Simshed web site that he will be out until the end of May.Has anyone else had the same problem? In case someone knows where I can get that gauge from, please let me know.Regards,

I know that this is going to sound like a stupid question -- but, after many years of flying all sorts of really good freeware addons, I am thinking of trying out some payware items. I have only ever purchased 2 of these - the Cessna 310 and the Dash8-300. I bought them when they were being offered for half price and realised that the reason for this was that they were really "yesterdays" technology. But they have been good. Both have not been as good as I anticipated that payware would be - but I do realise that they weren't the very latest to be offered. Hi... I'd like to change the vertical rotating viewpoint in a plane of mine. The viewpoint looks down at the panel too much, and I have to keep panning the view up to where I want it to be... I was able to change that one time but I forgot how... anyone know how?

Hi all,I am not a framrate freak, over the years I have found that as long as the framerate doesn't dip into single digits I can handle things OK. I have the Max set to 18 and this generally speaking, is where it stays.However I have noticed that there seems to be one very particular cloud type that kills the framerate, as soon as this type shows up the whole thing becomes unusable the framrate dropping from 18 to 4!. For this reason I have ended up with the "Medium Low" setting (the first setting that doesn't have "simple clouds" checked)I pass this on as information, but also I wonder if anyone else has this problem and if there is any way to detect which actual cloud …

i can't tune an ASOS freq on comm1 for some reason in a few addon aircraft i have. i've changed the radio section in the aircraft config but that makes no difference. i am trying to tune 135.625 on comm 1 but i can only get 135.60, 135.63 or 135.65. it won't scroll to 135.62. the default aircraft seem to work ok but the addon aircraft seem to skip a couple of numbers. is this unusual for some addon aircraft and panels? is there a fix for this tupe thing or something i just have to live with? william
