I've noticed a strange problem ever since I got my new system - in fs9 the panel bitmaps do not fully occupy the fs window area, there's always a border all around the panel bitmap like just a fraction of a millimeter in width. This happens with all panels.It's particularly visible in non-forward views, like forward left, rear right etc. - I can see the outside fs scenery around the edges.I've changed drivers, screen res, fullscreen, windowed mode - all to no avail. I can adjust my lcd monitor image in any direction and that side is ok, but the other 3 are stll out.I know the bitmaps are ok - I've used the same ones on various systems with fs9 before and never noticed thi…

It seems to me that Tom Allensworth is trying to put a censor on this forum. You are not allowed to be critical or put your opinion on this forum. I think it is because the critical words about the A380 from wilco publishing, well they deserved some critic and in a democratic world we should be allowed to do that, otherwise a forum is worthless. While reading the FS2004 manual in the autopilot section I came across something that stated you should intercept a glide slope from below and not above. I was'nt very clear on this point. How do I know at which altitude to intercept? Can anyone elaborate further please? Thank you.

Just imagine if you can another patch with something so good for FS9 that you would accept a limited version of FS9 until a updated patch was brought out to rectify a bug which only allowed 3 aircraft addons.You have to wait a month confined to using the stock FS aircraft plus 3 addon aircraft only.With all the superb payware aircraft available and some excellent freeware choosing your top three would be a hard choice especially if you wanted more than heavies or light GA.Ie you may want to hold onto the wonderful level D 767 and the wonderful PMDG 737 but that would only leave one choice left.Finally what would the "so good" patch change in FS9 be that would let you acce…

hii've experienced for some time now this problem with benoit's panel.the thing is: whenever i switch the v/l switch to INS it jumps out to v/l, ramdomly during the flight. This usually happens most when approaching the ins pionts change. Has any one got any ideia why this is happening?Thanks

Capt Sim already have the F-104, and their model has one of the best VC's around. Yet this announcement suggests Capt Sim are working with Aerosoft on the same plane. Anyone want to comment on what might be going on here? Is this an upgrade to counter the recently released Cloud 9 version? Or are they just releasing the Capt Sim version as a boxed product?Cheers,N.

My fellow simmers,I have been searching the forums and did not find the exact answer I was looking for. Basically I would like to know how smooth the gauges refresh rate is from the VC, primiraly the PFD & ND.I am not asking about FPS, or the 2DI option. I remember reading post about the 737-900 VCE had bad refresh rate. Please let me know... Thank you very much in advance.John

I have Joe Binka's AI Geese addon that populates the FS sky with Canadian Geese. The addon works fine (thanks Joe!), however I occasionally hear the geese "flights"--which all have the registration "GEESE" and are designated as VFR in the Flightplan text file--requesting IFR clearance prior to takeoff. What's the deal? Is this some AI quirk?IFR mysteries aside, I have to admit that it's amusing to hear ATC advising geese that I'm in their flightpath. :D -- Walt

I just did a reinstall and my ground textures look kind of odd. I assume I had addon textures but can't remember installing them, let alone which ones they were. I've done a search but it's hard to narrow it down. Any thoughts? Thx!billg

HelloI have a panel where Com One will not switch from standby to active. Com Two works fine but Com One will not transfer the frequency. All other planes and panels work great. The problem is just with this one panel.Any ideas for a fix. Got to be something simple.Thanks in advance.Ed

As a commercially rated pilot, getting my CFI right now, I really like the idaa of a Civil Air Patrol focused product. But, no offense to the Abacus team, but their planes look like something out of the Fs98 stoneage. Anyone else agree? If they are going to do a partnership and a payware product, shouldn't hey put out a better product? Schnikees those planes look bad!CB

hi,i have fs global 2005 and i noticed errors on some airports. mesh under the airport is not flattened. it was on two italian airports, one default and one i think freeware. aircraft was taxiing on the "ground", not on the taxiways and i was able to see under the taxiway. kinda weird if you ask me.is there any simple solution to this???

hi all, with FS improving so much with all this very very talented freeware contributors to our hobby,just last night i was thinking (when taxing to the active) whether someone can come out with a program where we can imagine we have a FO sitting next to us and controlling the plane,i mean we get instructed for p/b and taxi to the runway and your "phantom" FO does it all for you, i mean is there a program out there which automatically controls your plane from p/b to taxi and even takeoff and you can just sit back and watch, then take control when ever you want to,the reason for this, is that i sometimes find it boring to p/b and taxi to the runway (especially big airports…

Hi All.A little question.I usually run FS9 at a res of 800x600, even though I do set it higher at times. The problem is that I like to use the map and if I increase the res the map gets smaller! It might get clearer but it gets harder to see it as well! Any thoughts on whether I can make the map view bigger?Andy
