Hi, Does anyone know of a add-on, tool, etc..that improves how FS2004 manages approaches into airports to avoid being told to land 500 metres behind a preceeding aircraft ? And manages to space landings between aircraft ? Much appreciated if anyone can help as at the moment I have Ultimate Traffic running and it is very rare I can land at larger airports without having to consistantly go around.ThanksChris

Need a little help here fellow simmers. I had to completely reinstall FS9 due to hardware problems. Since this, I have not been able to get my AFCADs to work. I have been putting them in the correct folder and the addon scenery in my settings is checked. I have tried removing all the AFCADs from the folder then adding them back and FS9 will not regenerate the scenery files. I have also tried to force a reload on the addon scenery files by unchecking then checking the addon scenery option in settings, but even after restarting FS9, none of the files have loaded. Hi all, Well, it seems that a couple of days ago, I started to notice that my aircraft are tracking slightly to the left of the course line. For example, I flew the PSS A320 the other night from ORD-TPA. Winds were out of the west, and the aircraft was tracking left of the course line the mcdu plotted. I thought then that it was because of the winds. Well tonight, I am flying out of Mexico to PHX in the PMDG 737-700, and the winds are once again from the west, but the aircraft is still tracking left of the course line. Before I reach the next waypoint, the aircraft will always turn back towards the waypoint again slightly, but will continue to be left of course. …

Hola Todos!Was wondering if their any high quality payware jets out there, fighters, transport, recon, or otherwise, that are completely simulated with all the switches and what not to start the engines and fly the plane? I obviously know that complicated weapon systems cannot be simulated in FS2004, so what I'm asking for is just some outstanding military jets with all of the 'aircraft' systems simulated. I'm aware of a few already, I know Captain Sim and Cloud 9 have fully simulated military jets, but I was wondering if I was missing any. Hi there,If you are a member of Team AVSIM running the United Devices agent to help finding a cure for cancer, and are using flight simulator, you may be interested in this.The UD agent can be run in the background instead of running it as a screen saver only. I use this on my machine and it does not cause any trouble to most other programs. However, it has some impact on Flight Simulator and also on my PC DVD player program. For a while I simply snoozed the agent for the maximum of 120 mins before each flight and this let me run FS without any impact on frame rate or fluid motion. At some time even the 'snoozing' agent started to impact fluid motion in FS and playing DVD…

I am wondering how I can visualise which AI traffic is around me? Sure, I can hear those planes conevrsing with ATC, and I can see those planes that are less than 10 miles around me, but what about the rest? There used to be a neat little application in FS2002 called "AI Map", but I couldn't figure whether that also works in FS2004 or whether there is anything that does the same job of showing AI traffic from within FS. Would the Palm Spotter that comes with Ultimate Traffic do that, or does it only show those flights that have been compiled through UT?Thanks for any hints

I just did a search of my FS2004 folder, and found about 50 AFD files. For example, my lee stocking fs2004 scenery, in the "scenery" folder, has a file called MYXE1_AFD.bgl. I have a couple of questions.Are these the orginal AF2 type files that fs2002 used? Does fs2004 read them?Is it safe to delete them or leave them there?ThanksV

The Dassault Falcon F7X has just taken to the sky with its first test flight in competition with the Gulfstream V and whatever.For a neat download of this plane, the old fc7x-m04.zip (don't remember if it was from Avsim or Flightsim) gives a reasonable representation.If you don't like the panel, the carryover of the Falcon 50 panel for the FS2002 model works as well (with a few personal enhancements on both IMHO).Just do a google search for Falcon F7x, or Dassault and you will find several writeups on the press release. I bought the download package form wilco's A380 accidently twice and tried to download the package a few days ago, but because i download with a telephone connection, they all failed because of a change of server settings, time outs or no connection so the stuff I BOUGHT is GONE. I tried to solve it with them and they did a offer to reset at least one of my downloads, but today and who knows how long they think they have the right of having a weekend and give no support.
