I'm interested in buying the best two add on airliners. But I won't get both at once so even future releases can be of interest. Also the two planes should not be very similar but offer different challanges and experiences.Important factors for me1) Good documentation2) Clear and easy to read panels (also on a 17" CRT)3) Easy on framerates (at least the first one because)I now have Athlon XP 2400+ Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro 128 M 512 M RAM 333 MHzI'm conseidering an upgradeFirst 512 M to 1 GbSecond replace motherboard and get a Athlon 64 CPU with 1 Gb RAMOr getting a bigger better monitorWhat is the best choices before and after each suggested upgrades?

How do I increase the volume of engine sounds of aircraft in Ultimate Traffic? If I turn the speakers to max volume I can hear the engines just fine but then the Palm Spotter volume announcements are way too loud.

Hello.I am trying to land the Captain sim 707 using autopilot and ILS.But without succes. Hi.I flew into St John's in the sim and realized a major overhall of the area was needed.Im working on a personal side project with some friends to enhance several airports and areas of Newfoundland ,Labrador. Thinking about the future of FS I feel some admiration for developers whose products are maybe a bit ahead of time today but are also avant-garde i.e. pioneers for the coming years.Take TrackIr for instance. In my opinion, in the not-so-distant future the interface with computers will be helmets, not only for games, but also for Windows and other programs. Hi I'm new here. Picked up the Flightsim gaming again and getting the hang of it. I'm not comletely new to the game, the first time I played it a plane consisted of thin white lines, so that was ages ago. Apparently a few things have changed.After killing myself and my passengers on several occasions I now usually manage to land on the runway, so that is an improvement I think. For several reasons, I will be confined to a laptop for a long time. Not that thai a bad thing. I really like the one I have now, but it lacks the juice to run the new simming software well. When I bought my present Dell Inspiron 8200, I had no idea that MSFS even existed. Now, I am up to my ears in flight sim, and lovin' it.I am thinking that I may be able to swing a newer model in a few months, so it is time to start looking. Hi Guys,Normally when I use Active Sky I fire it up, download the weather, then fire up FS9, clear all weather in FSUIPC, hit the windows key,load my flight plan into Active Sky, let it process, click back to FS9 on the menu bar and Im off.However, when using FS Autostart, it completely clears my desktop,no more menu bar, it auto loads FS9, but the windows key is non fuctional. So I can't get out of FS9 to load my flight plan into Active Sky.Any work arounds would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance,Mark

After months of smooth operation I now get an error message when I load FS saying "can't find airport data file". I click OK and FS goes on and loads fine. Can anyone shed some light for me as to what this file is and where it should be? I'm thinking I could get it off the CDs, but I'm in the dark about the file. Does anyone have any experience with these? I have a desktop and a laptop computer connected over a wireless 802.11g network, identical FS2002 installations, and I'd like to put a glass cockpit on the laptop. I thought WideFS would do this but it is apparently only a communications program and requires additional software to display the gauges. I'm looking at OpenGC http://www.opengc.org/index.html as my best bet - the price is right and the screenshots look pretty good. The drawbacks are that it uses the X-Plane Nav Database, and it seems a little out of date and possibly unsupported.

When FSNAV is displayed, I don't have my Approach Arrowed markings (IFR) displayed for KJFK and KORD. There may be other airports, but I have not researched that far.I use SimFlyer airports for these locations (among others which have no problem)and thought that might be the problem. Disabled SimFlyers and went to the default airports and the same thing, no markings. I assume this lets SimFlyers off the hook.What I mean is that the approach arrowed markings which also include the frequencies on the FSNaV map display. Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing fine post-Easter. I need some help if anyone can offer it here. Out of the blue I can not fly if I try to use the flight planner, if I try FS freezes up and I have to Ctrl-alt-del to close the program. I have searched the forums and have found that several people have experienced this but sadly no one has said what they did to fix it, if anything. Now for more of an explanation of the issue.... I installed both the P-38J & L by David C. Copley. The L model is great but I like some of the textures on the J model. My problem is that the J models VC gauges are blurry. The L models VC gauges are nice and sharp. Can someone tell me what may be wrong with the J models VC.

Latley I've been having this anoying problem with my keybord in FS9. The 2 won't work. For example, the other day I was preflighting the Project Open Sky 757 and the cargo doors wouldn't shut when I hit Shift+E+2. They eventualy shut after pressing those keys repeatedly. Also when I switch engines to control I can never get engine 2 linked with 1 when I press E+1+2 and can never push back pressing Shift+P+2. I want to know if this can be fix and how. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Asked about this along time ago. A guy informed me a little bit about it. What are the performance differences over the engines that have a full cowling(dont know if thats the proper term), like the RRs on the 744 and the other types, like the ones that have half a cowling? What are the disadvantages and advantages of both? thanksAdam
