Does anyone know how to make a gauge read more fuel than what's actually in the tanks? Here's my scenario, I have a fuel gauge that reads 187lbs per tank. I would like it to read 2340lbs per tank WHILE maintaining only 187lbs per tank.

In the library today there is a new soundset for the A320 with CFM engines (file name is a320cfmsnds.zip). I would like to know how close is this to the real ones? Does the A320 "whine" sound happen through out the whole flight (like this download has)? Or does the "whine" sound go away when the engines power down (like I heard with other downloads)? I don't know which one is right. I never heard a real A320 in flight so I don't know which ones are right.

Ok so here it is I take of from KLGA bound for KPVD. I have UT at 95%, Active Sky weather, and flying the Flgith 1 421.. I have my FPS locked at 34 and from clearance to takeoff everything is smooth, no drop if fps maybe 1 the most. As I approach the airport in RHODE ISLAND (KPVD) things start changing. I get cleared for VOR DME 16 descent and at about 1000ft msl I save the flight for a later test. Once saved I continue my descent and my fps will be locked at 34fps but there will be this drop that lasts a split second (down to anywhere 20-26) causing the approach to stutter, even at 26+fps. I am just curious I have read some crazy real life episodes where a pilot got into some wild icing conditions and barely made it home..I was wanting to know if anyone has experienced some pretty wild and or worst icing conditions they have gotten into in fs2004 besides the pitot tube freezing. I have my fs2004 set to not prevent icing and in my fsuipc registered version I have it set to 4 for the worst icing conditions.I have read of pilots windows actually turning into a thin sheet of ice they could not see if they put there hand on the window and that the plane has gotten extremly heavy and sluggish and that they have had the engines cobbed and are still losing altitud…

I lost the pilots voice in the settings page. No voice to choose from and no ATC to listen to. Anyone have any ideas what I can do short of reinstall fs9?jeff

With some concern I see an increase in interest to make a transition from 2D to 3D (VC) only panels.Though I totally agree that VCs add tremendously to the "being there" feeling, I have my doubts that they can be properly used on y computer.And, I wonder how the "VC freaks" use them today.Beforehand I need to say that I have some VC only planes as well (e.g. Ariane's 737NG), and I fly them from time to time. I upgraded the default 737/747 to 'ultimate_default_747.zip'some crew callouts are annoying (sounds like he says "20/20 embery") the - I cant find the file to remove- I find all other sound files that sound good tho -like pushback,dfd 1-10, altitudes..

Hello all :)I want to fiddle around with the default runway & taxiway textures located in FS9Texture.The files are small bitmaps - but I cannot open *some* of them. In Windows XP's thumbnail view these stubborn .bmps appear only as big icons and when I double-click them windows says "Drawing failed".I started MS Paint and dragged one of them in there but got an error message too.I dont understand...are they some kind of "special" bitmaps that cannot be viewed in ordinary software?Can someone advice...thanks loads :)

I was looking for a good -300/400/500. Can anyone tell me if these series of a/c have an FMC, or is it just the NG? I used to use Dreamfleet 737, but cannot in FS9. Are there other non NG's that have FMC's? ThanksBrad

Hello everyone,i reinstalled my FS2004, this time with just a minimum or "express" install instead of the full install.The result is that i cannot find anymore my World/Texture folder under Scenery.Does anyone knows how to install the elements that in the "express" install are missing (of course without reinstall fs2004 another time)?Regards,Hi Sky.

Hey everybody.OK, here's the deal, FS keeps crashing, or should I say not starting. I start FS, the SplashScreen shows up and then it disappears. No messages, just *woosh* and it's gone.It worked fine yesterday, but not today for some reason. :-hmmm The only thing I changed from yesterday to today was the installation of the PFS LOWW scenery, which has been deleted of course. But, doesn't help :( And neither did the deletion of the fs9.cfg.So, anybody got any ideas except reinstalling?

I am trying to figure out how FS9 designates the gear on the CH Yoke by default. It has geer up on one button and gear down on another, but in the button list it don'es show the buttons assigned, and I see only a "gear up/down" setting, not the individual ones that it set as a default. I would also like to know if there is a "Control Wheel Steering" mode that I could assign. I was flying the Eaglesoft CX when I got a message that I had run out of memory and FS shut down. To make matters worse I was on final at 500 ft., after a long flight. I have 1gig of ram which is more than enough. The only things running where active sky and FSAutostart. When running FS I'm usually using about 720megs when I checked now I running about 1.5 gig! Hello,I've recently been running into the problem where the throttle axis will only control one of the engines, forcing me to control the other one with the mouse. This becomes a problem when changing airspeeds and landings in particular. There is a keystroke where you can select both engines, but I dont recall what it is can anyone refresh me?ThanksPatrick
