Hi,Have un installed FS2004 and my add ons also the update for fs2004 but now I can't install FS2004 again I put disk 4 in to finish it off get to about 78% and get this message.Microsoft Flight simulator 2004 encounterd a disk error while writing to the file (C:Program Files|Microsoft GamesFlight SimulatorSceneryCitiesHeathrow.cab) and just carries on with that message so I have to stop.I have done a disk defreg and also disk clean up and also tried to install it on another computer which gives the same message.Has anybody got any suggestions or would I be advised to get a new disk and see if that worksMany ThanksJason Thompson

Can someone please help, I'm flying a ERJ-145 and ATC keeps sending me to the GA parking ramp, I'd rather go to the Gates. Is there a way to change this? Thanks for any help.Greg

I have Alaska Cinematic scenery for the Anchorage area of Alaska, and being that I just returned from a vacation there, I am estatic over this scenery. It looks like the real thing as far as I am concerened. The one problem I have is that the amount of AI traffic seems very low compared to most other areas I fly around. I use Ultimate Traffic and have recompiled it and checked everything. Is this due to the AFCADs that come with the scenery?

All of a sudden when viewing my aircraft from the external spot view the screen becomes jerky and hitting the SPACE bar no longer returns the view to default settings. Only when I uninstall active camera do things return to normal but then as soon as I reinstall active camera the problem returns. This problem as well as my glideslop question from a previous post all started when I installed the FS Navigator demo. I wonder if that is causing some kind of problem? Thank you.

Well, after having the chance to fly above the new VFR Netherlands photoreal scenery for an hour I was VERY disappointed. I tried to find my home and various well known places and had a hard time doing so. And when I did find them I was disappointed by how it looked. Far too pixelated. Awfull. Heres a delimma! Sometimes when I create a flight The aircraft is loaded with the power (electrical and avionics) on while both switches are off. Sometimes it will shut off by itself before I get started and sometimes it will stay on no matter what. The plane still functions but I'd prefer a "Cold Dark" start in order to follow a checklist. Is there a place in the Aircraft config that I can edit to assure a Dark start? Or is there somthing wrong that is causing this headache?Thanks for any helpJim

I use FS2002 Professional. Last night I reloaded the contents of nzwn_04v1 (wellington and hutt scenery and airport). I would like to report the following strange occurrence. First, I noticed that aircraft were moving THROUGH the buildings at Wellington airport. I loaded the AFCAD file. It did not help. But worse, when I exited and then reloaded Flight Simulator, the compass was back to front, i.e when facing North it showed South. The orientation of the plane was indicated incorrectly everywhere I looked, including Navigator. The problem persisted whether I changed planes or locations, even New York. Does anyone have an editvoice for ABX? My planes have Abex as the atc callsign. Is this correct? I just noticed today that only the numbers of the call sign were being spoken.

It is with my pleasure atleast as a Detroit Flyer to give props to imagine simulations rendition of KDTW. This scenery is awesome and almost exact. I feel that KDTW is one of the quote unquote "Abused Airports of FS9" I live about 10 minutes from this airport and while I don't get to much of the rumbles of jet engines over my house except on bad weather days I do see all of the traffic from this airport. I can say that on numerous occasions and almost daily now there is a never ending stream of commercial and GA traffic leaving this airport non stop from sun up to sun down. Is there anyway to prevent FS2004 from pausing when going into the MAP? It kinda kills the immersion factor every time it pauses the sim. Thank you.

I know this has been talked about in the past but let me explain...After several months of going through my system piece-by-piece trying to discover why I get a CDT when running at 8x AGP, It is now the software to take its turn at testing. All my hardware has been basically replaced so I now figure it must be some addon on my system causing the snafu.So I made several different FS backups to feel safe on the uninstall. To my surprise after I uninstalled my FS2004 folder was still intact!? So here's the scenario... You've taken off from BWI, heading for Boston (Logan). You've got a dynamic weather program running, so "real world" conditions will be reflected at your destination airport. Using plain old add-ons and ATC, descents and vectoring happen just by using the ATC interface... But what happens when you have more sophisticated aircraft add-ons that require longer descent times than Microsoft ATC usually gives you. And how can you determine what runway is in use when you're over 100 miles out to plan ahead and enter into an FMC a decent approach? Hi,I'd like to introduce kids to flying through the use of a MSFS. I'd like to show them how to do flight planning using something like DUATS and FlightPrep Golden Eagle. Hey guys i recently tried a friends copy of the Mad-dog and after applying all the patches, i get the below error after selecting an aircraft and clicking ok on the create a flight screen. I still have all the install files from version 1.00 to 1.42, reinstalls don't seem to fix it so any help on this would be fantastic! :D Heres the error:Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. I'm looking for planes that are framerate-friendly. Other than the defaults, what do folks suggest? Several of the Bill Lyons planes fall into this category. Any others?
