Long Overdue (KDTW)

I am game for getting together. Work down at KYIP. Was up in KPTK yesterday, rented the Duchess and flew down to Cleveland for dinner. 1.8 Actual Instrument time! How is the FPS in this addon? Heard it is poor.

BoDean, The KDTW payware scenery package is amazingly detailed, but the cost is frame rates. However, just about every major airport in FS kills frame rates. Did you install Matt Magner's new freeware KYIP scenery? If you are a FAA CFI, I'll be happy to meet you. Cheers, Bruce F

Just to clear up some names...My brother, Mike Magner, made the KYIP, KDTW, Troy, and Gibraltar sceneries whereas I, Matt Magner, made the military stuff and lake st clair sceneries...i see everyone always gets us confused in emails and in forums:-cool

what does it mean to "give props"?

Matt, Yes, I did a keyword search after the last post, and did notice that there are different Magners. Mike did more of the civilian scenes and you did the Selfrige area and other Michigan ANG bases. May I thank both of you for your contributions. I plan on attending the Willow Run Air Show August 7, 2005 and the Pontiac Airport Open House August 14. Cheers, Bruce Freeburger Roseville, MI

KDTW is indeed a very attractive scenery. It need not be a frame rate killer. Witness other major airports that are not: Aerosoft's Munich and Charles De Gaulle and Fly Tampa's Miami and San Francisco. However, imagine simulations could easily tweak KDTW and improve the frame rates. It is a really nice package though. I like their New Orleans a lot as well.Lee
