I've always had brakes assigned to the trigger on my stick, but suddenly that no longer works, and I have to fall back to pumping the period key. Can anyone suggest a remedy?

I see that the Dash 8 is being advertised by Majestic. I love this plane and waited, breath baited, for its release. However, having looked at the threads on this forum, it would appear that little, if any improvement has been made to the interior visual quality over the previous freeware version - big, big disappointment. Obviously I don't want to go over this issue again - it seems to have been well covered, but I would like to ask if it is possible to merge this payware package with any other model which has better visuals. I believe that the freeware model could be merged with Dreamwings, for example.Bud

I just wanted to comment on the excellent review by Zane Gard on the Carenado C-182RG. This C-182RG aircraft is the one I fly almost all of the time now, and I like everything about it. Zanes review was very detailed and accurate. I even learned something about the aircraft that I didn't know , despite the many, many hours I have spent flying it around. I also had the pleasure of flying a real C-182 a couple of weeks ago in Anchorage, AK, and the similarity in the handling of the real one to the Carenado was striking. I am looking at a situation where I am at the point of reinstalling FS9. I have all my files backed up and ready to go. It takes some time, but I am expecting to have a cleaner version after I finish the re-install.My question to everyone is how often do you reinstall FS9? And once you complete the reinstall, do you see an improvement in performance as apposed to the old installation? If you do this often, what are your tricks to keep the time down?Of to do some reinstalling....:DKevin

I have had to stop using the kneeboard. I can open it and move between "pages" but whenever I start to scroll though any page FS9 crashes as in closes, disappears, vanishes in a puff of smoke, ....The same thing happens if I try to view the learning centre when in a flight. The learning centre is fine when viewed from the FS9 main menu ie flight not created or loaded.I had thought at first that using Firefox as my web browser that might have some strange connection. I tried resetting Internet Explorer as the default browser but no change.I'm not going to reload and will cope without it's just something that keeps getting on my nerves and of course having a kneeboard would…

For several years I have been using Brian Burger's Coastal Shipping scenery add-on which adds ships to the Alaskan waterways. It is CoastalShip1.zip here at Avsim. This is a FS2002 file that worked well for me in FS2004.I just did a complete, clean reinstall of FS2004 and have been adding sceneries back in slowly. The Ships DO display properply but the Wake does not now. I get the white rectangle where the wake should be (and was before) which of course suggests a "missing texture".There are three "wake" files in the texture subfolder and I have tried moving and copying them to my main texture folder - same result - no wake!Any ideas why this is happening and how to ge…

I'm suddenly wondering what I am doing wrong or is there something wrong with FSI have recreated the flight plan from one of the suggested flight 'London - Darwin air race' in the Vickers Vimy. On the second leg of the journey I decided that I would not be able to go over the mountains so I went south to the coast. then head toward the second stop. I reached the end of the mountain range and turned east. Everything was going ok until, the compass started easing toward the north. In the C172 it used to be that when I hit the APR button the autopilot would display APR AP GS. For some reason now GS flashes for a second but then turns off leaving only APR AP lit up. When I look at VOR however I still see that I'm lined up with the glideslope. Can anyone explain this? Thank you.

Does anyone know if there are any additional tutorials for the Flight1 C172 besides the one that comes with it? I'm looking for a set that's similar to the flight lessons included in FS9. Thank you.

Out of the blue, the F10 key no longer launches the kneeboard..it just pauses the sim. I couldn't find a search topic on this. I can get to it via the alt key.Any ideas?Thanks,Jim

I recently D/L David Copleys P38TDL22.Zip P38 Lightning.Beautiful plane but having problems triming elevator for level flight. It wants to go up or down. Tried using trim and throttle. I know the real P-38 liked to climb. Does anyone else have this problem and have you solved the problem?? I realize this is free ware and I've some of his other fine aircraft and they were fine. Any ideas for another p-38 etc.Thanks Chuck

I'm flying the iFDG A320 with Ken Mitchell's excellent panel. I'm unable to maintain any kind of predictable response with the autothrottle. I take off and after reaching about 4,000 feet, I engage the master autothrottle button and the speed hold button. If I ascend at 1,800 fpm it stalls. If I ascend at 700 fpm, it speeds beyond the set speed. Anyone else experience this?

I recently downloaded the GMAX L-1049 Super Constellation by Mike Stone. (file;"twl1049ks")In the panel that came with it, I am unable to set Com-1, Nav-1 or Nav-2. However I am able to set the ADF and Transponder. I recently stumbled on a thread, possibly at AVSIM, that addressed that issue, but can't find it now. Someone, I think his name was Webb, offered some changes to the Radio section to aircraft.cfg but that didn't seem to help.Anyone have this problem, and were you able to solve it?Regards,Jeffrey

Here is the problem that I have: When I taxi with default King Air or Cessna Grand Caravan, even when I give very little throttle in order to start moving, aircraft starts to move very quickly and accelerates really fast. When I pull back throttle aircraft starts to decelerate. So when taxiing I always have to give-pull throttle in order to keep moving at constant speed. Did anyone else experienced that kind of problem?What is the proper way to set throttle/prop/mixture in order to taxi at constant speed?I usually fly jets and I don't have any problems with taxiing, also no taxi problames with Cessna SkyHawk/SkyLane, Baron 58...Best regards!!Dubravko

i tried the demo and cannot make up my mind on this program. My doubt is that it seems easy to be awarded an excellent pilot score after any flight. For example you can break taxiing speed rules and bank angles by an excessive amount, and still get awarded excellent flight.This seems totally unrealistic to me, or maybe im missing the point somewhere?This program is very popular but try as i might i just cant get itCheersDan

I'm completely addicted to my DF Beech A36 (together with Active Camera 2). I'd like to read everything about it there is to know! So, does anyone here know if there is some good stuff out there on the internet I could read and (even better) download (as pdf), like maybe a real PoH and stuff like that? I love NOD32 because of its small footprint. And it does a really good job, EXCEPT on my flight sim machine, when I exit a flight or have been using FS 2004 and flying. When I shut down my computer, IMON the Internet Monitor function crashes, and I have to kill its process (End Now) prior to shutting down. It does this every single timeI have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but no resolution.Any Ideas?Barry

Hi Folks,I've been enjoying the excellent scenery in Antilles 2004 for a long time. It's truly fantastic!Recently I had to reload my operating system and FS2004. I've been reloading all of my scenery without any problem. But, after I start the installer for Antilles 2004, it doesn't work properly and I have to cancel it with CTRL - ALT - DEL. What happens is that the progress bar starts to flicker, but doesn't move towards the right as it should. Also, the options at the bottom of the install window are gray so you can't even cancel it the normal way by clicking on a button.I've tried two different downloads of the program, both didn't work.
