Selecting GPS window in any aircraft, ILS feathers do not line up with runway also "ghost" feathers appear, attached link shows EGCC Rw 050R, airctaft is pointing correctly , map shows different. Also at an angle is a ghost feather. This occurs with any GPS instrument and at most airports, the gps compass does not match the heading. Hi, I recently bought a new PC, is there any I can copy my FSX folder from my old machine to my new one? I have Flight1's registry tool and I know I'll have to rebuild my FSX config file. I have a lot of add on aircraft, scenery and airports, I really don't want to re install items one by one. Thanks

I've d/l and installed the most recent version of AIFP but it won't recognize FSX-SE as the target version. I've tried to edit the AIFP config file but to no avail. Any suggestions of advice? Win10, FSX-SE

Hello everyone, I am a fellow FSX user in need of help! I have the PMDG 737 NGX and I also use Steve's DX10 fixer. I also use addons like REX and AS16. I normally get VC shadows on every aircraft I have thanks to Steve's fixer. However, on the PMDG 737 NGX, I see absolutely no shadows in the cockpit. I have checked on the forums too and my settings are as proposed. The ForceVCShadowMap=1 command at the display section of fsx.cfg exists, the settings at Steves DX10 fixer are correct. However, I get no shadows. What could be wrong?

Just a pretty minor problem with axis assignments for Live Camera Control. I have previously used an Xbox 360 controller for Windows, but I recently got a Xbox One controller (as it has finally, after an inexplicably long time, got a wireless adapter for Windows, but that's beside the point). With the Xbox One controller I can't properly bind the trigger axes for up/down camera control, like I'm used to. Unlike the 360 controller, the Xbox One controller has each trigger on a separate axis, but the Opus control assignment interface will only let you bind one axis for both up and down. This is probably a stupid question, but why do the ALS lights not light up at night. I see a lot of them modeled but don't light up. Just the PAPI lights. Even a lot of 3rd party airports have great detailed lights but don't light up. Just curious if I'm missing a setting or something.

Are the default FSX Nav Log (IFR and VFR) altitudes where one should be at that given wavepoint ? The more wavepoints I add to the flight plan the more detailed the altitudes become, especially nearing the destination airport. Sometime's changing by only a few feet ! How accurate is this in reality ? An example might be - altitude 1,937 ft. Although I do find this a convenient way of deciding what height to fly, I notice that sometimes when approaching the destination (either airport or STAR) there is a sudden and drastic altitude change called for. I'm sure in reality a few brown paper bags would be needed by the passengers ! By the way - I like to practice flyin…

I've been having this problem lately which is that on my add-on runways, the outline of the FSX default runway markings is still visible. I can't find anything online about it so I thought why not ask on here! Does anybody know any solutions?

I recently had a couple crashes of the system... red screen and annoying sound. System totally crashed... I doubt it is overheating, because now and then I open AMD Overdrive and the CPU temperature is never higher then 45 degrees. Maybe too much stress on the GPU with the bufferpools=0 tweak? Or maybe it has something to do with the overclock I made (automatic overclock in BIOS 3.2ghz -> 3.84ghz) I should mention it ONLY happens in FSX now and then. I hope someone knows what this could be. Maybe go back to 3.6ghz or remove the bufferpools tweak? Thanks!

Hi. Recently I've been having a rather severe problem in FSX airports. The taxiways and the runways overlap each other. Textures seem to be "fused". I've tried to fix it by switching off scenery, updating Orbx files, etc. I still don't know what the issue is. Can anyone help? Dumb questions I have some payware addons and ground ATC(Standard) doesn't work at each gate. I ask for ifr clearence to the runway but nothing, silent! It works but the don't reply! Thanks Max

I have two products from different developers where when you touch the brakes, it makes the most awful screeching sound imaginable. It's clearly supposed to represent metal on metal friction but it's way over the top and incredibly annoying and distracting. The two addons are JustFlight's BN2 Islander and Virtavia's A-4 Skyhawk. I have searched in the sound.cfg file but there's nothing there. I have checked the .wav files for both aircraft - it's not there. I assume it's some kind of "effect" as it is in neither sound folder, but I have no idea how to track it down. Can anyone help? I bought and installed EZCA onto FSX:Steam a few weeks ago and it all worked perfectly. No problem. I was happy with the default settings, and from what I understand of people's experience with setting up EZDOK that was just as well. Then it all went wrong. I decided I would like to "walk around" the aircraft and after watching a YouTube video in which someone was able to walk around a nice 747 freighter, I copied it exactly. All I did *exactly* was go to spot view and then right-click on the screen "aircraft/world view" (or something phrased like that). Immediately everything went wrong. I just opened my email and had a advert advertising the new 747-200/300 HD FSX ready. Normally I would go their website and ask this type of question, but they, CLS are not exactly readily accessable to leave post. Even to registered customers! So I have made a pact with myself, only purchase software that is at minimum P3D ready and does not need a migrator tool to install to P3D. So if a CLS type person is trolling this area, when will you like others Captain Sim, Aerosoft, HiFi, Majestic, start making it available to P3D customers?

There is no engine sound in FSX SE for any plane I fly. If the volume is turned way up then the wind and brakes can be heard. I don't know what caused it, but about the time the sound went out I had downloaded the latest update from Nvidia ( 3.3.0.95). I've tried deleting the FSX Config.and going through all of the audio drivers un-installing then re-installing. I have Windows 10.

Hi fellow Avsim members, Recently I jumped into WOAI packages, as a replacement of Ultimate Traffic 2. But I have a problem. I hear no ATC communication. Are these airplanes not contacting tower at all? Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, For a couple of weeks now I have noticed that the simulator started to stutter; micro stutters (some sort of a quick back and forward movement) and somehow it is related with the audio (I guess). If I am listening to some music or YouTube videos while running FSX, they will audio-sttuter as well. First I thought it was caused by Active Sky Next, but after making a couple of tests I discovered that ASN was not the problem, so I updated the drivers of the graphics card, disabled the antivirus, lowered the sim to the minimum settings and modified the FSX.cfg (Affinity Mask, Bufferpools, etc.) without success. Hey, I am trying to add Thomson's 787 to my AI using AI flight planner to create a flight plan. I have followed all the instructions i found online and for some reason I just cannot get the 787 to appear. Has anyone added the 787 successfully? I have spent a long time updating liveries for Easy Jet, Thomas Cook and Thomson and my final goal was to add the 787 to the Thomson fleet but I have hit a dead end.

So I could really use some help as I am stomp on whats going on here. All my transatlantic flights to an from the US stops in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, somewhere between Iceland and Greenland. EZCA looses functionality and so does TracKIR5, my USB keyboard and mouse and my Logitech G940. I can still hear and see FSX working but I cannot pan around or do anything to control the sim. The buttons that I see in the aircraft are accessible and do click but I cannot tell if they have any affect at all on the aircraft. I also noticed that the aircraft is always on a very slow descent when it should be cruising instead and moving my mouse, joystick does absolutely nothin…

I'm not sure how to completely describe it, but there's this graphics glitch I get in FSX that usually starts out as certain tiles on the ground starting to get a very striped textural appearance. After awhile, random polygons of water start to appear in random places (usually inside an airport's area, but not on the taxiways or runways--sometimes even the entire airport except for those surfaces). What is the solution for this?
