I'm thinking of adding the Flight 1 Citation Mustang to my hangar to compliment my Citation X (Eaglesoft) and would like to hear from others who have it: 1. Did you run into any problems using the product? 2. Is the G1000 really as feature-rich as the product description suggests? 2a. Does it have full VNAV capability? 3. How does it "handle"? Does it "feel" heavy or light?

Hi, I have just started a very long flight from Houston KIAH to Doha OTHH with PMDG 773. At FSDT Houston I get around 15-30fps in the VC, VAS around 3GB but it was smooth and everything seems normal. After take off it went below 20FPS all the way to cruise and kept dropping to around 10-12FPS, VAS stayed at 3GB/3.1GB which amazed me because most of the time the VAS should drop and FPS increase. Last time I flew out of here it was fine. I saved the flight, restart the sim and now I get well above 30FPS (which is normal during cruise stage). I wonder what the sim was trying to load or what was the cause of the low FPS, it seems restarting the sim fix the issu…

Hello I have a windows 7, home edition, 17 2600k CPU @ 3.4 GHz, 8 Gig Ram, AMD HD 6950 with 1 gig Ram, triple monitors, Catalysts Control Center 13.4 with I believe, Driver Packaging Version 12.104-130328a-155980C-ATI ( Showing in the software Section of CCC), trackir 4 with the version 5 software, UTX, GEX, and several Orbx Regions. What I would like to know is what is the best/newest CCC and driver I should have for running FSX? I am looking at using the RadeonPro software and the Steve DX10 Fixer also to help with reducing OOM,s, but in the manual or info discussing the installation they suggest using driver 12.4 I believe ( from 2014 ). Great to be here. I have a very noob question which I hope someone will answer. I bought FSX when it first came out back in the day and I am running it on Windows 10 with an Nvidia GeForce GT710 graphics card and it runs well. My question is that given that everything has moved on in the intervening years and so do I need to install the Service Packs 1 and 2? Thanks in advance.

when i try to switch the f/d on it only produces the sound but it doesn't turn on, so i can't use the Ap. Can someone help?

Dear: I'm looking at JF Piper Arrow III and HS748. Could someone please tell me: 1. How accurate those planes are systemwise and how are the flight dynamics? 2. How are the Autopilots? Can anyone tell me why the EFIS & FCU freeze and become inoperable with my AirbusX Connect A319/A319. I am running FSX on Windows 7? Happens with or without a flight plan loaded, but seems to happen more in the "Selected Mode". I just cannot figure it out :(. It ends up ruining EVERY flight almost. Any & all suggestions are greatly appreciated - THANKS

Hello guys, I've been dealing with a problem : When I'm flying, my PC easily hits +70FPS but when Im on ground it drops to 10-, making impossible to taxi, etc... I'd like to know if is there any solution for this problem? Thx!

Operating default FSX a/c (e.g. C172S and Baron Be58) if an NDB frequency ends in ***.5 then I have to tune ***.0 to get "correct" tuning/indication. However, in FSX-SE, this does not happen and entering the true frequency, e.g. 349.5, works correctly. Is there a quick-fix to correct this FSX idiosyncrasy? Thanks in advance for any information.

I'm using a brand new NVidia GEForce 1060 Gigabyte video card, which is about as good as anything available on the market. As you would expect, I'm getting fabulous results from it but I am having one odd problem. It doesn't happen all the time but occasionally approach lights at airports beyond visual distance show up as black rectangles or very occasionally as triangles. Once I get closer they resolve into normal light textures. It also happens (less often) with other light effects such as navigation lights and strobes, though that only seems to happen with the plane I'm flying and not with AI. Can anybody help me out? I've been flying around Washington D.C. area with FSX. Because of the default season in FSX at this time of the year, there is snow on the ground. Active Sky Next weather generator, however, provides actual weather conditions in the area with temperatures of upper 60's to 70's the past week (yes! in Feb 2017 in the DC & Virginia areas). Question: Is there an app that will modify ground textures based on the weather generated by a weather generator like Active Sky Next? Elmo

Recently I attempted to install the PMDG MD11 to find that it gave me a fatal error. I installed the update the is on the PMDG website and it deleted my textures folder forcing me to reinstall it. Can anyone help? Sincerely, Aanik P.

But, I cannot get manual flight to work. I have searched the manuals, the web, forums and can't seem to pinpoint this exact problem. I'm not having a problem with the A2A and PMDG Aircraft. All the other aircraft like the Twin Otter Extended and the Cera Helicopters don't have engine sound. I can hear the tires rolling and the brakes squealing in the FSX SE. I had the latest NVidia Version then I installed two earlier versions 378.66 and the 352.63 but no luck. I also deleted the cfg.exe. and let it re-build. I also un-installed the Twin Otter Extended. Does anyone have an idea that I haven't covered? Thank you.

FSX has shut down on me randomly or rather it just freezes and says that the trial period has expired. I have had it installed legally since September of 2007. So: I cannot activate it, I have looked on line and the registry fixes do not work I no longer have the activation codes and I cannot remember where I bought it/downloaded(?) it from. Does anyone have any ideas? I flew WSSS to WMKK with the NGX and no problems but the MD11 from YMML to YBBN locked up. If I repurchase FSX will I have to reinstall all the Orbx, FTX and PMDG products all over again. I don't think I could stand it! Help please! Gerry Engwerda

Hi All this is my first post and I hope some will find it useful. I collected rewards from the excellent visit series by BASys but found collecting them for the USA too daunting 15000 plus airports . I decided to create my own set for the US state capitals comprising the state seal and flag with final reward for all 50 plus Washington DC. I decided to automate the process and created Excel 2007(and up) macros to generate the GUIDs, and write the xml files, these are also included in the download in the library :- State capitals zip. Classic propliners fans who are not already aware of this, might be interested to hear that the amazing C-47/DC-3 version 3 freeware from Manfred Jahn / Jan Visser and team has just been upgraded. As this product was already excellent (way ahead of a lot payware aircraft that I could name!), it is difficult to believe that it could be further improved, but it has been, with fantastic textures and some remodelling of the VC, new cockpit night lighting, interactive checklists, even more finely tuned flight dynamics and quite a few other additions and modifications. I've been using FSX-SE for a while now and I am a dedicated pixel pilot (I'm claiming that term!) and I'm an avid reader of our hobby's magazine - like everyone else I've seen FSX and other flight sims develop pretty much exponentially over the years. Graphics have gotten better and better alongside the hardware we all use. The graphics and visual realism are genuinely staggering these days ... notice I say 'visual realism'. Hello all! My fps have suddenly dropped over the course of one night I used to use OpusFSX, before I decided to make the switch to Ezdok V2 (I did have Ezdok V1) - I changed to Ezdok v2, and the 'mouse cursor issue' appeared out of nowhere - I've never had that issue before in my entire time of simming. I uninstalled V2, went back to V1 and still had the issue - So then I went back to no camera addon (ie. the default FSX camera system) and the problem persists). Hi all, I have been having this issue for quite some time, have tried multiple tweaks, such as bufferpools, affinitymask and the like, etc. On takeoff and landing, seems to happen every so often my frams drop from stable 30fps to 10fps then assing a certain altitude/distance from the airport it climbs back up to 30 again. I am currently running an AMD FX-8370 4.0GHz processor with a water cooling unit on it so its keeping at about 30C, I am currently using a Nvidia GT 545 3GB graphcis card, I did have a R9 270X in the system but due to some shader/driver issues I have gone back to the GT 545 for now. I have tried a few different real world weather engines for FSX, and they inject the weather perfectly, but after about 15-20 minutes of flying, I reach the edge of the clouds and from then on, even as the weather updates, the sky remains completely clear. As this happens with several weather engines, I suspect it is an issue with my FSX in some way, but cannot track the problem down. I would appreciate it if you could advise on any settings or other changes I could make that may possibly fix the issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, If i touch the brake a very, very little bit i have direct an auto-brake disconnect. This happens by the PMDG 737NGX-B777-B747v2. Is it posible to adjuste the trigger point, somewhere, that the disconnect happens later after more brake input. All without changing the braking action itself. U use the Brunner rudder brake-set so it is not posible to do this in FSX-settings itself. Regards Jovabra
