While reading the latest update from PMDG, I was reminded of many discussions in the past about how a visible mouse cursor impacts performance in FSX. I'm bringing it up again because in the 9 years that I've been using the program, I have NEVER experienced any reduction in frames when the cursor is displayed. Whether the cursor is visible or hidden, my frames stay exactly the same... and I do pay attention to that sort of thing. Could it be because I've always used a Logitech mouse (and its associated drivers)? I'm really curious why so many people have reported this problem and I've never once experienced it. M.D.

Been away for a few years... What is the best scenery for Toronto (YYZ) these days. Also what are some other worthwhile sceneries worth purchasing/downloading. Any insight would be very helpful as my old FS friends are ignoring me.. Regards, Ron

Hi Everybody, This problem has been bothering for quite some time now. Whenever I fly outside ORBX regions my terrain tends to look really unnatural, the same patterns are repeated over and over again. I´m aware of the fact that default FSX just looks this way once you fly a bit higher and that products like UTX will help making things look better. Still there´s one thing I don´t understand: I still get these awful patterns when I use addon-landclass and mesh (The picture below is scenerytech africa for landclass and Freemesh X, somewhere close to Cape Town) Shouldn´t these two products combined with FTX Global solve the issue. Hello, I am having issues with the dome light inside the QualityWings 757 VC. It looks horrible, and it kinda looks like a Christmas tree had to come and explode all over the cockpit. Any fixes to this? 2017-1-28_12-16-13-638.BMP

I have tried using the MJC Control Panel to no avail. Checked the .ini file to make sure it was excepting my changes but the moment I move my throttle from flight idle it goes full throttle. If I move the throttle a miniscule amount it is just about flyable. My throttle movement from Disc to full throttle is 20% of my throttle range. I am using FSX-SE Win10. I have calibrated my T.16000M using their software. Anyone got any good suggestions I may try? Tks Don

For some time now, I have noticed an issue in a W7 FSX machine where the pull down lists for some of the FSX supporting software do not pull down fully enabling me to get to any item on the list, other than the top item. The problem does not appear to be with FSX itself, as I can go into its settings and use all lists and commands with no issue at any time. It is some of the supporting programs When FSX is running, such as: EZCA, where the list often refuse to scroll down and they leave artifacts on the screen box area when they do scroll. Hello everybody, I got a problem using the new pmdg 747 v3 with fspassengers. Everytime I load fspassengers menu and start the flight, fsx crash (fatal error) immediatly I've already tried some solutions, like deleting the missionpanel.cfg when I had a similar issue with the pmdg 777. Hello So after i updated to the latest FSDT GSX patch, FSX has stopped initializing my aircrafts? I followed the Installer then it popped up with a SODE thing. I checked the paths, looks good. Clicked registrer and activated it. Loaded FSX, Failed to initialize aircreation aircraft, I thought ok i never fly that. I pressed free flight and clicked on the chose aircraft, no airplanes!!! After a shopping spree and installing some addons I just took a flight over Cuba. Normally in Varadero there are houses etc. Now its a forest... Also trees on some small airports... I think there is something messed up in the scenery order. I hope you guys can help me. I'm happy with the way the dynamicfriction lua works- makes taxiing and maintaining a respectable and stable speed more on par with what I experience in the real world. In any case, it's not that compatible with certain aircraft- is there a way to make the dynamicfriction.lua active with certain aircraft, and use FSX default friction for other aircraft?

My update to 1607 went smoothly yesterday...deferred for quite a while...has to reinstall DisplayLink driver as expected, Started testing various apps. Found out that the update deactivated FSX which was running fine on 1511. Tried a repair from the DVD but it fails every time with an InstallShield error. Tried an uninstall ...was able to uninstall Accel pack but FSX will not uninstall with a Fail to load a DLL for uninstall. Tried to reinstall Accel but it see FSX is deactivated and will not proceed. Anyone seen this issue...any fixes? I tried everything I could find on the Internet but nothing has worked.

OK, this isn't really an FSX-SE issue but I will be using it with FSX-SE so hoping the moderator will let me ask this question here. I have several GoFlight modules and absolutely love them but my income is a lot less than it once was, so it's been a long time since I was able to purchase any new modules. I fly most of the times the Wilco ERJ 145 or the BBS Airbus family out of LPPT, but one of the aircraft that I always wanted is the A310. Hey Pilots! I know there are some great Airline Sims out there, like Airhauler 1+2, FsPassengers, FSEconomy..... and so on. I flew all of them. But what I didnt tried so far is, creating my own Airline without a predefined programm or website. So to say, the absolute fantasy airline. But I want it to be as real as possible, meaning I define a Budget for start, look what a used plane costs, look for actual fuel prices, log my flight time and if a part gets broken or I have to refill fluids etc... I cannot recall having made any changes to my FSX cfg or Nvidia parameters, but after installing the AS update and the PMDG 744 last week, my ATC window and my kneeboard are suddenly not legible anymore (this may or may not be related). After reinstating my Nvidia Inspector file as it was before (no change made actually) and keeping my DX10 fixer cfg unchanged, I could not recover my previous situation. I am running Windows 10. Could anyone please point me to the right direction telling me what settings (Nvidia or FSX) would influence these two feature (ATC window and kneeboard, all other windows are perfectly legible and as before), this would be highly appreciated. …
