When I used to try downloading something I always got a window that opened up and asked where I wanted to save the file too, in my case the Desktop. Then all of a sudden IE has decided to start downloading my files automatically to a Temp directory. I no longer get the window asking where I want to download or anthing...the download just begins downloading to a Temp. directory. Now I have to right-click and "save target as" where before all I had to do was left-click once and the window popped up asking where I want to save the file too.How do I "re-enable" the window asking where I want the file downloaded so it doesn't just start downloading automatically to a Temp fold…

Well, today Pearson airpot's Terminal 1 will be cosing for good to make room for the new terminal. Since '67 T1 served as recognisable focal point. I can sill remember planespotting with my father, on the roof parking lot, and taking my first flight out of there. Demolition is to begin this summer to make way for the expansions. YYZ will look a lot different without that cicular terminal.Well, on with with progress!Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard512 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

I am soon to half to change my broadband provider to Comcast DSL from a service provider that was very good, anyone out there with any comments about Comcast's broadband? I already checked www.broadband.com and they, like most broadband providers have their fans and their detractors; just wondered if the flightsim community had any adverse experiences! I actually could use Verizon as well.Randy Jura, KPDX

BEAR- You'll love this one, being such a big warbird fan that you are lol. I shot this video at Watsonville last year. Most of my airshow DV tapes have been recorded over, but I still have this one... When I get a TV tuner card, I should be able to hook up my vcr or tv and take video off my VHS tapes of the airshows and show those to ya. The best one I have would have to be Salinas. So, hope I can do that soon... but anyways, here's a video I made, dedicated to WWII Warbirds. Enjoy!23.83MB9:30http://idratherbeflying.net/Videos/WarBirdsS.wmv

Hi guys, Just wanted to post these again in a new thread in case people didn't want to wade through the old thread. I also added a new video, the night flight from Chicago to San Jose. Anyways, here they are :) Filmed with a JVC Digital Video camera. Thanks to United for the great flights. I've also attached preview photos of each video so you can get an idea of what you'll be seeing. Enjoy the videos :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/70551.jpgFlight #1SJC-DEN10:0025.10MBhttp://www.idratherbeflying.net/Videos/Flight1.wmvhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/70552.jpgFlight #2IND-ORD11:3528.97MB(This is the full flight)http://idratherbeflying.net/Videos/Flight2.wmvhttp://f…

See here:http://weirdnj.com/_roadside/jetwoods.htmlI have questioned myself over and over again- what model is it?I'm thinking its an L-39 Albatross, but the jet intakes look too low, so I don't think thats it... It could also be a T-4 but I don't know of any around here... It may also be a Fouga CM170, but I dont see any wing tanks... then again, I don't know of this kind of aircraft in the area...In their book where more information is published it said there was two pilots, so keep that in mind... Usually things like this pop to mind but with a crippled and decaying jet I am baffled with this one...What do you think it is?Jason :-wave

Now, now Jason. Funny way how you munipulate what I say. You left out the part about how I already soloed. So a powered solo for me willo be just another solo and not really a huge deal. And you never asked "Wouldn't you care if you soloed". You asked, don't you care that he soloed, and the simple fact is, I don't. My life is no different after viewing that post then it was twenty minutes ago."Now, this kid claims his parents are both pilots- father flies for police, mother flies CJ's and Navajo's"When you word it like that it puts doubt in the readers mind."So, this is what I'm asking you. Is your first solo just "Another day of flying?" or is it, as I think, possibly th…

First, please ignore the other post with this title - i used the wrong kind of parenthesis and my numbers disappeared.I have a question about working with the coordinates system (and I hope I'm explaining this coherently). Basically, I need to make sure that I am properly calculating the exact distance between two Lat/Long points so that I can figure out the point that is exactly half way between the two points. First, I am converting to the decimal system to make the calculations easier. Therefore, the point (Lat N*41 52.0399 Long W87*16.4099) would be (Lat 41.8973 Long -87.2735) in decimal format. Given the two points of (Lat 41.8673 Long -87.2735) and (Lat 41.8673 Lon…

[big]Let's Play..... The [big]"How Many New Files Will Be Uploaded"[/big] Game Hey Folks! With the recent loss of our beloved file library, I have came up with an interesting "game."Guess the amount of new files that will appear on the file library list tommorow.RULES:---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can't be part of the library team- You can't submit an answer such as "200-300" (Cough, Ridge_Runner_5, cough, cough)- Anything else you little cheaters can think up :(PRIZE:---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Place: A Huge sigh of congratulations.- 2nd Place: A mediocre sigh of congratulati…

Hello I'm extrememly excited at this point right now, but tomorrow after waiting 5 months the time has come when I go away to Colorado for Spring Break. And I found out that I fly on one of Continental's new 757-300's and I am looking forward to that and I am asking if anyone has been on a 757-300 and tell me how was it.Thanks.

Just finished reading an interesting boast by Hizzoner da Mayor Richard Daley regarding the one year anniversary of the midnight raid on Meigs Field. He doesn't talk as if it was closed for "security" only that it was closed because he wanted to return the acreage to the public.See today's (March 31st) Chicago Media websites. At least the field will live on thanks to Microsoft....Gotta love Chicago politics and the "City that Works". Remember, in Chicago, Vote Early, Vote Often....Tim757

What happens when a modern Airbus has a A/T failure and automated throttle control isn't possible? It seems like having a gated throttle that is only designed for digital computer control leaves no way for pilot-controlled speed. Am I wrong? Are there any other systems that can fail on the Airbus that don't give the pilot any control as on other aircraft? Thanks,Chris

A little more then a month ago I posted a message here warning others about my bad experiences while purchasing (or trying to purchase) this addon. The original one is here, take a look at it first:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...9&mesg_id=11719Now I have seen in another flightsim website a note announcing they are back and have developed a newer version of the software. At the same time the developer informs he had been ill and unfortunately spent the last couple of months in the hospital. Since he indeed seems to run the business alone he could not tend to the issue of some keys not having been sent to a few customers, mine being the case. I contacted h…
