Folks,Look what I found at airliners/dot/net.http://alteonlongbeach.com/products_sim_ride.htmApparently, you can fly a 1 hour session there on either 717, 737NG, or the MD11 sim for 150 dollars.Add an airfare if you don't live near Long Beach.Interesting - things are becoming more common sense these days.Enjoy and apologise if that is not the right forum for that.Dom

Hello friends :)Sometimes as I search the internet for FS2004 add-ons I stumble upon non-English FS2004 sites that are excellent.I cannot understand them but the content, layout and file-libraries are excellent and I usually find stuff that you do not see on the big English sites.I was wondering if I could please ask all of you from all over the world to post links to your native countries FS2004 websites! Of course if you are English-speaking but have links to foreign-language sites then please post those too! This is what I have so far (not much!)Slovakiahttp://www.fsclub.sk/Czech Repulichttp://flightsim.periskop.cz/index.php?lan=1Francehttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/bravomike/…

Cessna- DC - Rest of The StoryWhile some who have no clue were advocating shooting down a small Cessna that strayed into DC airspace recently, we are now learning part of the rest of the story. Looks like the Pilots and the Authorities made the correct call yet again by not shooting it down. Well Done.Of course that didn't stop all kinds of false and misleading information being spewed all over the airwaves and internet. It seems the Student Pilot will face no repercussions, and the Instructor was issued an emergency revocation, even as his lawyer says he should only get 30 - 90 days revocation, which he can appeal. Now for the interesting part. While some here said the …

Has anyone else noticed these two server oddities?1) When I log in, the welcome page shows a time that is always 9 min ahead of my own computer time, after allowing for the difference between GMT and BST. My computer time is automatically updated from the internet and I've re-checked it against the BBC broadcast time signal before posting.2) Sometimes I can't find the last post in a thread. For example, in the MS Flight Simulator General Discussion Forum there is a thread titled "Massive bug at Nice". The last update column shows the latest post to have been by Willg on 29 May 05 at 6:19pm but the last post I can find in the thread is by mad dog on May 29 05 at 5:26pm. I…

Hi guys, I have a question for ya'll.In September I'm heading of to Japan for a year. Which is all fine and dandy. I've secured a decent (but not GREAT) price on my ticket, which is about 760$ Canadian, return. The thing is, the return flight must be within 60 days. I have no plans on returning within 60 days.Is it possible to sell the return portion of my ticket to someone who wants to come back to Canada?I do remember being asked for ID at security/gate checks several times before while presenting my ticket, so I'm a little confused about this. I'd like to make some money back off this ticket and might as well make someone happy by giving them a cheap way back home. But…

Hey folks,About a year ago I saw this animated mini-film online about this one guy (not a human) who, while not at his terrible factory job, worked on these binocular-like contraptions that would allow him to look into the past at his happy childhood (playing with children on a spinning park ride). Also, when he looked through them, everything which was imperfect turned perfect. He then perfected them and mass-marketed them (I believe in a yellow box with a happy face on it), with people celebrating him. I believe, after his creation, after he became almighty and well-known, life wasn't as good as he thought it would be-- once again fading out to his happy childhood memo…

Hello to everyone. I am a 33 year old computer network administrator but my true passion has always been aviation and flying. I have been obsessed with flight sims for as long as they have existed and I even took some real life flying lessons. Although I enjoy my current line of work, it is still nothing that I'm honestly passionate about. What I have always really wanted is a career in aviation, flight in particular. Unfortunately circumstances such as money and other issues have always been roadblocks. My question is this. At my current age, what sort of possible career options do I have in the field aviation, piloting in particular. Is it too late to try for a commerci…

Gentlemen-Does anyone here own a copy of a video of the 1986 Moffett Airshow, featuring the P-3 and the Frecce Tricolori team? I had one, but it was damaged beyond repair in a move. It is very important that I find a copy, my uncle, who died recently, was a crewman on P-3's and he and I enjoyed watching it together. I would love an original, a dupe would be acceptable. Anyone who has one or knows where one could be found, you would have my undying gratitude. Send me a PM, please.-JCH

Okay, enough is enough! There was a time when the majority of addons for this hobby were free and done simply for the love of the hobby. With that said, I FULLY understand that times have changed and the demand for hyper-realism has spawned a brisk 3rd party market of scenery and aircraft. Companies such as LDS, PMDG, Captain Sim, Feelthere, Flight1, Imaginesim, Simflyers, FlyTampa and Eaglesoft lead the way with quality offerings built on sweat and attention to detail and I have nothing but praise for companies such as these. They all would probably be a bargin at twice the price. Then there is Friendly Panels (see Avsim front page)! Okay, $21 for a rearranged default …

This is actually related to all of my games. Here's my problem: I cannot connect via IP to my friend, or anyone, for that matter. I CAN connect to public servers, but when me and my friend try to connect vis IP so we can play one on one, it doesnt work. We just never see each other's hosted sessions. I've tried multiple IP's, but nothing works. I always turn off all firewalls before trying, and I have my router set to forward everything... I just cannot figure out what the problem is. Anyone got any ideas?
