Does anyone know if FS Real Cockpit Effect has any issue when it comes to clicking on switches, buttons, and knobs? It seems as FS Real Cockpit effect bounces the view around a little, which makes it seem to me like trying to click on a small switch would be hard because you're moving around. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Is anyone aware of this company? http://www.flyaoamedia.com/ Everything looks legit, they sell their products via third party resellers, however I purchased a product on October 17, 2017, and I am yet to receive any hint of the product I paid for. I have left a number of support tickets, with zero response, despite the automatic reply stating that I would receive a reply usually within 24 hours. The third party I purchased the product through is also trying to contact them. I have already asked for a refund as I have received no product or response, so I am waiting to hear back about that. Unbelievable that so many companies can just tak…

"The global airline industry group [IATA] anticipates that 7.8 billion passengers will travel by air by 2036. That's nearly double the 4 billion it anticipates will fly this year. The IATA forecast, released Tuesday, said it expects that half of the new passengers who will fly over the next 20 years will live in Asia. While IATA predicts significant changes over the next two decades, the most dramatic shifts will happen in the next five years. China will displace the U.S. as the world's largest aviation market by 2022, two years sooner than previously expected, the IATA forecast predicts. An aviation market is defined as traffic to, from and within a country." …

Announced yesterday. A "medium complexity" simulation of the DC-8-50, developed by Michael Cependa, to be published by Aerosoft. Surprised it doesn't seem to have gotten much attention. Details in this thread on the Aerosoft preview forum.

Just to let everyone know, I have removed the listing of followers for the Main Topics, like Hangar Chat, P3D Forum, FSX Forum, etc., and not to specific threads in those forums. It appears our upgrade earlier this year might have somehow corrupted this notification. For instance, in the FSX Forum, I found 189 followers but, when I clicked on the followers, it showed only 30 names and at the bottom, only 16 others (which does not add up to 189). Of course, many of them might have indicated they did not want others to know they were following but many of those following were old registrations and the math did not add up so decided to start fresh. We had a possible glit…

I am playing around with various flight simulation games (X-Plane 11, FlightGear in jets) and have recently tried to fly around various airports in Peru. What I found astonishing were: 1. Limited number of published aerodrome / approach charts - from official DGAC in Peru (which shows only a few airports, fewer than what has scheduled services listed) to whatever other sources online 2. Very few air routes connecting city pairs along the mountains or towards the Amazon 3. Limited navigation aids - old style NDBs, few VORs, few GPS / RNP While I appreciate that Peru's topography is difficult (the scenery, for instance, in X-Plane is pretty good the…

https://leehamnews.com/2017/10/19/boeing-ponders-restart-767-300er-passenger-line/ Rather odd, don't you think? I thought the 787 was supposed to replace the 767 and that the upcoming 797 will replace the 757. This just seems weird.

It’s all hands on deck in the Dovetail office as we keep further developing Flight Sim World. We’re coming up to six months in Early Access and wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our current focal points and the things the dev team are hoping to bring to FSW in the near future. Important Note: These are things the dev team is currently focusing on: We don’t have any solid delivery dates as of yet, but will have more information as we work through our list. Dynamic Weather Building upon the foundations laid by Advanced Weather, we are working to fully support the variety of experiences demanded by experienced flight simmers. That means adding the ability …

Hey there, Steam's Halloween sale is upon us and there are two addons for two different games I'd like to get. Based on my budget I'm only treating myself to one. The first one is the Cessna 182 Skylane RG II By Carenado. From what I'm told she looks beautiful, but the physics aren't the most realistic in the world. The 2nd one is Viva La France for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Both I've had my eyes on for a while. And there's the Christmas sale as well. I am partial to the RG II since I'm not seeing sales elsewhere and Carenado doesn't have a news letter (to my knowledge) All opinions, viewpoints etc are welcome. Thanks.

Hi, I've written rather an extensive tutorial about how to fly the PMDG 777 from EGLL to KSFO. It takes the simmer through all the stages of planning, fuel, weight, weather, alternate selections (ETOPS, on route), step climbs.. etc..... Setting up of the aircraft from a typical "Gate State", taxi.. takeoff.. climb.. cruise.. It's rather long, and I've obtained permission to include the images of the appropriate charts for the flight from Navigraph, and weather files from AS2016. It's written for P3DV4, but the tutorial is really about the plane, rather than the simulation platform.. so could be read across to other platforms that have the PMDG 777. I'm tr…

I was just sanctioned by one of the forum mods by expressing my feelings about 9/11, I have had enough having just left London and Barcelona before the terrorist attacks there. I lost someone in the twin towers, a former mentor, who like me was a road warrior flying every which way across the world. She was brutally murdered by a twisted, sick religious attitude that says its all right to kill in the name of God, if God even exists, the one who said he would never flood the earth again, tell that to Houston. People of all faiths seem to kill in favor of their deity, or in the case of North Korea, their monarchy. Our hobby was disparaged by people using it to learn…

Hello!) fellow community! Its time for me to get myself another simulator, and what I initially thought was getting p3d. It seemed like the proper choice to make.... but after seeing how good the x-plane iS, I am kinda puzzled as to which simulator to buy. I mainly use GA aircraft and would appreciate the actual aircraft modeling + nicer graphics above everything else. Well; can you guys give me some input as to why x-plane is better than p3d, and just compare the strengths of those two. cheers

Hi there! We are making a tycoon game about airport building and management. We believe that the concept of airport is complex and interesting enough to have a PC game about it. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find what we were looking for, so we decide to make our own game. In this game you will be in charge of whole the process. You will start from scratch and go on to build everything from the terminal to the runway. We aim to have as much realism as possible provided it also doesn’t harm any gameplay and fun, because it is a game at the end of the day. As for now we are at an early stage of our development, but there are things to share. We also obviously have a…
