That was a good game tonight. Every 4 years, Canada & the U.S. go to war for 3 hours at the Winter Olympics. I love the rivalry, lots of emotion & exciting play. Although technically it’s not a rivalry, as Canada usually wins. But low and behold, the U.S. pulled out a win. The following is meant in good fun to celebrate a rare win: Oh, Canada, you lost to U-S-A Oh, Canada, hang your head in shame You scored first, then played your worst, allowing three straight goals You scored again, but guess what, so did the U-S-A Fi-nal score, four to two, oh, Canada, you must be feeling blue Oh, Canada, we say “adieu” to you!

Alexander Graham Bell and a Mr. Grey simultaneously invented the telephone. Bell got his patentd first and therefore is known as the inventor of the telephone. We've all heard the story of how Bell spoke into the phone and said, "Mr. Watson come here, I need you." As Mr. Watson entered the room Bell knew he had a marvelous invention. But the story doesn't end there. Just after Mr. Watson entered the room Bell's telephone buzzed and a voice came over it saying, "Your extended warrantee has expired....." and thus the first telemarketer call was answered. Noel

Not a P3D vs MSFS thread.... Just want opinions. Like many, I jumped on MSFS right away but it was lacking in many areas for what I use a sim for. I generally do short haul, med haul commercial flying primarily with PMDG aircraft and the QW 787. The available aircraft just were not/are not up to snuff for this in MSFS, in my opinion. Unfortunately for me, the graphics come in below the need for study level aircraft, but I do have most of the orbx products, about 50 airports etc to enhance where the default P3D scenery lacks. As well, the complicated nature of just customizing views in MSFS like you can do with chase plane frustrated me. Small things like this turned…

I know for many this probably silly but...... Why when mentioning people in posts here and elsewhere, do people write @jim or @sally when mentioning them. (I would just say, "as Jim or Sally said previously".)

  9. "using objective measures — weight measurements from Bluetooth-connected smart scales — suggests that adults under shelter-in-place orders gained more than half a pound every 10 days. That translates to nearly two pounds a month, said Dr. Gregory M. Marcus, senior author of the research letter, published on Monday in the peer-reviewed JAMA Network Open. Americans who kept up their lockdown habits could easily have gained 20 pounds over the course of a year, he added." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/22/health/virus-weight-gain.html

I'm not much of a fan of Peterson he comes out with some utter nonsense on a regular basis, but this lady is rather silly to challenge a clinic phycologist in regard to his opinion that is based on well documented research.

https://www.wired.com/story/airplanes-empty-slots-covid/ If these airlines are flying what would be normal schedules if there were no pandemic then why the fuss? You can't blame them for wanting to hold their gates. If there were no pandemic and passengers were filling up these aircraft there would be no outcry over flying those hours. Where am I wrong here? Martin? Chock? Noel

There are lots of ads on this site that I easily ignore and some of them I actually like but there is one that just shows pictures of really good looking pizza and a pile of tamales and I think I've seen enchiladas in there. It always makes me hungry. I actually experiment with pepper sauces and I've created a cheaters easy tamale batter recipes and I love pizza but haven't yet made the thin crust I'm looking for. I've got ideas but still working on them. This is really just a nonesense post because I just saw that ad again and if you use Chrome, you will now begin seeing it as well.

  22. What the World will be like in 100 Years, The New York Herald, May 07, 1922 How a single observer from 100 years ago, predicted the world of 2022. Pretty cool stuff, and how close do you think he got? Will our predictions be better? (Note: all extant copies of this seemed to be significantly garbled, so I had to transcribe.) By W. L. George THERE is a good old rule which bids us never prophesy unless we know, but, all the same, when one cannot prophesy one may guess, especially if one is sure of being out of the way when the reckoning comes. Therefore it is without anxiety, that I suggest a picture of this world a hundred ye…
