Frame gen, I have to use a mod because Asobo still did not implement FSR3.

Now people use this Bing tool. But what about the watermasks and the developers complaining about this happening in MSFS the colors are off?

Bit reluctant about this one as I mainly fly tubeliners and don't want these squares, and want o keep photogrammetry on. 

Will keep monitoring this thread. You guys also now this is coming from China, and you are installing that on your PC.....

 

Been used for a year or very few problems, and it is updated all the time.

Any scenery on MSFS requires being online. I have never used , or will ever use, multiplayer.

installing now, quick test flight grom KLAS I see a big tile jump from brown to gey in the mountains on climb out, will check now at EDDK

It doesn't HAVE to. I've happily used the sim without this mod. But after using it for a flight in the Himalayas last night, I'm starting to think that it can add a lot to the sim - like many other addons I've got e.g. REX AccuSeasons.

And just to be clear: I've only used MP in the sim for one afternoon wrecking havoc on Heathrow by buzzing the tower and flying inverted over the runways 🙂

I use rex also, not convinced about this mod.Cache on 30 GB High Lod Tlod of 400 ( auto fps ) but still tile popping. Colors do look really nice

 

Uses a bit more system memory  about 3 GB

I was cured of MP in my early P3D days with users spawning in the middle of a busy runway and then going to watch TV. I would rather watch a train wreck. 😉

The Bing Maps latest has got me out of the tube liners for a bit and now flying the A2A Comanche around New York State and up to Montreal. It looks fantastic.

I'm doing the whole of the M25 circuit in the WIlga. Started from my house, followed a long walk I do sometimes and then joined up with the M25. Soooooo much more detailed than ever before. 

well hmm .. i feel like a fool, heard about this popular mod for a long time but never tried it, not sure what i was afraid of (well yeah i know 🙈, i assumed it would do dirty things at system level to change the maps but  looks like it doesn't except from adding a few entries in your host file which is no prob for me).

Obviously i took an extreme example of improvement and results may vary but most place i visited since installing it seemed better or at least equal with the mod enabled.

the difference in some regions is just huge (and when i say huge i mean huuuuuuuuuuge 😜), thank you guys for bringing this up to the attention of everyone. 👍🍻🍻

Not sure what error you get but the mod changes your host file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) which is a Windows core file that can be exploited by virus and malicious software, so if you have some security software on your machine set up with a high level of protection, it might well be that the file is protected against any changes and that would would prevent the tool from working.

Overall it's a great tool, one that I perhaps need to use more in areas I randomly fly in over the World, unfortunately though for my home area it shows up a Photogrammetry issue even more severely than default which is already bad enough but it looks worse now, see below.....("Latest Bing" used)

Edit - Apologies scratch that I just loaded default and it's the same horrible blending or lack thereof .

Used the free version happily for many months and have now been using the paid version for 5 months.  Find myself using Apple maps more and more, quite often a better alternative in many places in South America, Alaska, Africa etc, and it's a great alternatives even places Bing and Google cover well (US / EU etc)

Free version or paid, this has been my favourite addon for the sim.
