Flysimware Turboprop Aircraft

  1. Started by EmpireKicking,

I just got the mitsubishi MU-2B-60 as it's on sale! I hear it's an good model. Link to model: http://flysimware.com/website/MU_2B_60.html So the only error that I can not work out to why is that both of my LCD panels are black, just black with nothing on it. I'm up and flying away with no infor on the screens. I have used the update patch and still nothing. So if you reading this, you guess right that I need an answer to the fix

Santa filled my stocking early this year with the MU2. This plane is so much fun to fly! Just thought I'd pass this along--I'm sure most of the folks here have had a similar experience. Just label me "late to the party".

Hello All, I am a new user of the MU-2 and have version 2.5 running in P3D V4 (4.0.28.21686). The one issue I have is with the red beacon which flashes inside the cockpit and cabin. I see there are a few posts regarding this but it looks like it shouldn't be happening with the latest versions of both the MU-2 and P3D. Any insight would be great. Cheers, John

Hi Guys, I just started using this plane and I have a problem with the autopilot and ILS. When I select approach hold, the localiser is captured but the plane goes up and down and does not maintain the glideslope.

Does it work (for you)? I read on the internet (where else?) that the Flysimware Conquest works with P3Dv4. I installed it. Although P3D crashed the 1st time I ran it after installing, the aircraft loads up and starts. But, I'm not getting any thrust and I'm pretty sure the props are off the locks. The torque meters are moving and the aircraft config page shows the props being unlocked. Just wondering if anyone has a comment to share. Thanks

  6. Started by Ariel,

I recently installed the C411 in P3Dv4 with the F1 GTN 750 in the provided GTN/Radar version. I don't have the additional weather radar from Milviz, so the radar in my panel is a non-functioning dummy. All seemed good, but on a flight I suddenly realised that I didn't have a Comm 2 radio tuner (or Nav 2, for that matter)! Watching the FSW intro systems video (showing the GNS cockpit), I saw that there was a Comm 2 radio immediately below the weather radar. Surely I don't have to buy the weather radar to get a Comm 2 radio..? Am I missing something here? To fly realistically I need a Comm 2. Apart from this, the plane is really good to fly. Graham

Whenever I fly my MU-2B in P3Dv4, atc addresses it as zero. I have checked the aircraft.cfg and the atc_id=N321GM. Does anyone know what the issue might be? thanks for the help!

  8. Hello, why is there no NAV/COM2 radio when you select the single GTN750 installation? There would be enough space on the instrument panel for the KX 155. Regards Gerhard

I have no time or skill, but if anyone's bored, would you consider knocking out some repaints for the Mu? There are a ton of us who fly her, but it's strange there are so few repaints available. Thx for considering. :-)

  10. I have unable to get version 2.4 update from the FlightSim store where it was originally purchased. I have downloaded the file from my account 3 times and it is always shows version 2.3.dated 1/22/17. I have emailed them twice about the problem and they have not replied. I can't get the update from Flysimware because I did not purchase it from them. Could anyone suggest the best way to proceed to get this update? Could Flysimware contact FSS on my behalf to resolve this matter? Thanks for any help! Al

  11. Hey, ran across a youtube vid showing this sound upgrade. Very Nice!! The gentleman that did the sound upgrade went by the name of StormILM. I tweaked the internal takeoff sound to make it a little more realistic, instead of the steady drone we had on release. I believe Mark has included that edit since about version 1.6. However, I don't recall seeing anything related to external sound upgrades. It sounds really good. StormILM never released it to my knowledge and search. Does anyone have any updated info? Thanks, David

This bird taxis way too fast for me. Does anyone know if you are able to adjust any settings in the air file to slow the taxi speed down? And if so, how? Don't care if it is realistic or not, I just want to slow it down on the ground. Thanks John

Well, the amazing sale is on again, and I was wondering if anyone who had both the Moo and the Conquest could tell me if they're pretty close to the same quality. I know the conquest came out a bit before the Moo, but it wasn't that long, as I remember. Anyway, what do you all think about the comparison? I love my Moo and my Lear. Thanks! Scott

VERSION 2.4 UPDATES: May 22, 2017 New Features GPS lateral capture mode will remain captured outside of 2NM once captured at 2NM but outside of 12NM it will disengage but can recapture at 12NM. Autopilot VS and IAS no longer need the ALTSEL mode on to hold pitch modes. With ALTSEL mode on the preselected altitude set will capture. The GNS530 message label now is solid rather than flashing. When in the VNAV page the MENU option can turn off all messages for the entire flight. Glide Slope indicators now move out of sight with no active signal and no voltage. Removed the beacon sound since most user did not like the loud sound from the VC. …

Since getting the MU-2B a short time ago I have been experimenting a bit with some modifications. I expect FSW will be out with an update to the MU-2b down the road, but I am making these mods available in case any adventurous pilots would like to give them a try in the meantime. They seem to work fine, at least on my system, but use at your own risk. The modifications involve backing up (renaming) and then replacing a few files. The mods are: 1. Flight Director alignment with the attitude indicator’s pitch/bank reference symbol. Due to a bug in the interior model files the FD does not align as well as it should with the AI ‘green triangular’ reference symbol…

  16. Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening everybody I had a couple questions. Were there any changes to the Exterior lighting on the 441, MU-2 and LJ35. I used to have flashing strobes & rotating beacons, and some extra look to the nav/recog lighting on prior updates when first installed. Now it looks as if just the basic glow of the nav/beacon/recog lighting is built into the model, but with no additional effect of the FX_lighting files, also don't have flashing strobes or rotating beacons of any sort. I dabbled around a bit and looked into the aircraft.cfg and noted all three aircraft have FX_none for the effect name with 0.0 coordinated on the X,Y,Z positions for t…

  17. I have a set of 15 Lua scripts that allow some Flysimware MU-2B functions to be controlled with keyboard keys or controller buttons instead of the mouse, which at times can be inconvenient to use while flying. Use of the scripts require a registered (paid) copy of Pete Dowson’s FSUIPC4 program through which user selected keys or buttons are assigned to the different scripts, and thus to the associated MU-2B functions. There are 10 Lear35A autopilot scripts – one for each of the MU-2B autopilot buttons except for the ENG (On/Off) button, which can be controlled by the FSX standard autopilot On/Off Z key. Any subset of the AP scripts can be used. So for example, if yo…

Hi gang. 1st of all, I LOVE my moo. I put 20 hours on it last week alone. But, I'm a bit tired of the volume of the beacon sound. I know I could just get rid of it altogether, but I'd rather just turn it down. Can anyone tell me a quick way to lower the volume on that feature alone? Thanks to anyone who's got a clue and a few seconds to reply. Best, Scott

Has anyone had difficulty getting all the animations to work that appear on the Aircraft Options page? Last month I found that the lower cabin door would not work and I have been in contact with Flysimware about this. Since then I now find that I can't get the luggage doors to work. All the other animations work for me. If anyone has found a solution for the lower cabin and luggage doors please let me know. I have even redownloaded and reinstalled the aircraft but have the same problems. I am using FSX on windows 7. Thanks! Airbus

Hi Folks, Just purchased the Cessna 441 on sale and have it installed and up and running (V2.1). I have been unable to turn off the pesky airspace message on the GPS. Usually just pressing and holding the "MSG" button will turn it to the "off" setting; but that is not working in the VC panel GPS unit. The pop-up GPS functions as expected but doesn't seem to have any effect on the GPS in the VC panel. Thought maybe some of you more experienced Conquest drivers might have a solution to this. Thanks, Jesse

  24. I am seeing a significant difference in the throttle positions necessary to achieve the same torque readings when at altitudes generally below about 5,000'. In other words the left throttle is farther forward than the right throttle when the torque readings match. This is true of the VC throttles as well as my throttle quadrant. By the time I have climbed above about 5,000' they are back to very similar positions for the same torque. Is this normal behavior for this aircraft and does anyone know why it is that way? Or, perhaps more likely, is there something I am failing to set or do correctly? I'm betting some of you who are more experienced with the Conquest a…

  25. Has anybody mapped the GoFlight push button panel to the Mitsubishi MU 2? The GoFlight module works great with the standard FSX auto pilot, it falls short when the auto pilots are more complex (IE ARM mode). I will probably send an email to GoFlight, but thought I would post here in the Flysimware forum. I know the GoFlight module can map keystrokes to the cockpit functionality, has anyone done this with the GF push button panel, mapping it to the MU2 autopilot? Thanks!
