After the release of the Caravan, I sent Carenado an email with suggestions, which -- after reading other posts in the internet -- made observations that reflected my ignorance, rather than any real problem with the plane. They promptly responded and thanked me for my suggestions, even though some were wrong. It seems to me that all the condemnations I have read about Carenado and its customer service have been unfair. Based on some of the open hostility I have read on these boards, it is no wonder that they sought refuge from the "mob." Mike Gutierrez. North Hollywood, California.

This package:- Corrects the DME display when the distnace to the VOR is more than 99 miles.- Solves an issue related to turning on and off ADF1 and ADF2.- Improves some clickeable areas of the GNS430.- Solves an issue in the GNS430 related to a misplaced red line of flight plans.- Solves an issue with the Flight Plan Display letters. - Improves the flight dynamics.- Adds two NAV/ADF switches to the RMI. Waiting patiently for the 185 floats model, I've been flying my 206 Amphib/Floats alot. A little Modification of the dash/panel and Vinyl/leather covering was needed as the stock one is blurry and outdated... BTW - did you know ? Carenado has released a NEW sound set for the 206 - Its included in the new downloads if you have purchased it within the last few weeks, butif you've had this plane for awhile..you need to visit the 'update' pages' and download the 206 sound patch.Take notice- they are fixing the new sound pack as the water sounds in the float version arent correct, they are udating it as we speak, I have already adjusted the sound pack to include the water soun…

This is my first post on this form. I have both the F33A & the Cessna 182Q for FSX. I really enjoy both aircraft but have one problem. After shuting down the aircraft and systems, I open the access doors, they stay open momentarily, and then slam shut. It happens on both mentioned aircraft. I am experiencing this with both mentioned aircraft.---I have tried "Shift +E"--door(s) open but then slam shut---I have tried to do the mouse click on the hot spot to open the door(s) via the mouse but with the same result--the door opens to only slam shut again.I have several Carenado aircraft for FS09 and do not have this problem in that sim environment. Does anyone else have th…

All, Not sure if Carenado reads this - but - am I the only one that misses the 2D panels??? I still find it sooo much easier to fly with a nice 2D panel option rather than trying to zoom around the cockpit to make the various knob twists and gauge views big enough to see... Don't get me wrong - I like having the VC as well but I find I spend most time on the 2D views... I've been a big fan of Carenado since the release of the Cherokee 180... I still think the flight model on the 180 is one of the best they ever produced... I haven't purchased anything from Carenado since the release of the Arrow IV due to the lack of 2D panels... Just one former customer …

Hello, I just bought my Bonanza. It is a blast! Realtively easy to fly and it looks awesome. I flew lots of circuts around my "home" airfield. My one complaint is about the manual. I realize that these types of add-ons are overwhelmingly bought by experienced simmers and real pilots, who already know a lot about the aircraft. I'm not one of those people yet, and I found the included POH to be a bit lacking. It is basically a lot of checklists and charts, which are useful sure, but I would have liked to have seen something more in depth. This sentiment is even more true for the GNS430 literature. It barely seemed to even scratch the surface of …

  12. Is there anyway to change the information displayed in the tool tips when you hover the mouse over an instrument? Specifically, in the 182, I want to change the tool tip for the out side temperature gauge from "Temperature at tip" to the actual outside temperature. It just makes life easier than having to lean over in my chair using Track IR to read the gauge. Plus the needle itself is pretty fat making it hard to discern what the actual temperature is. Also, is it possible to bring the night lighting in some of the older planes up to standard with Carenado's newest releases? The 172 dome light is just too bright for my tastes that I won't even fly it at night. C…

Has anyone with the Carenado Cessna 152 or 172 for FS9 noticed that the numbers on the VOR dial are wrong? They go 0 3 6 9 12 16 18 20 24 27 30 33. Shouldn't the 16 be 15 and the 20 be 21? Carenado should definitely make a patch if this cannot be corrected by the user easily. Al

  14. Here's a repaint I've been working on for a little while. The exterior is finished but I'm gonna repaint the interior too...The repaint is based on the 1980s Lotus/Renault Formula 1 car; probably the coolest F1 paint job ever?I might need a couple of people to do a quick beta test before I add it to the file library; let me know if you're interested!

I have a question regarding the Cessna 172 Skyhawk for FSX. I'm always flying in the 2D-cockpit, but unfortunately the main panel is a bit too large to be able to see the runway. So, I've tried moving the panel to the bottom of the screen to get a view of the runway. Now this works, except that a black gap appears on the left side of the screen. I've also tried resizing the default view in the panel.cfg, but I just can't get it right. I have attached a screenshot of the main panel with this post. In this screenshot I have moved the main panel to the bottom of the screen. I have drawn a red circle around the black gap. Is there any way to get a good view of the runway in t…

Hello, I have been drooling over Carenado's web page and glowing reviews for a while now and have decided to take the plunge and buy. But as I was researching the 182 package (the standard and long range one), i discovered that it uses an older style autopilot that, while is appropriate for the time I'm sure, is totally foriegn to a novice like me. So I have a few queastions;1 What are the capabilities of the 300A? It seems to be a one axis system, so does that mean that it will only do lateral navigation? I know these beauties are meant to be hand flown but once I'm at alititude and on course during longer flights it would be nice to have the option for an AP tha…

Flying the Carenado Saratoga for FS2004, I tried to make a takeoff from a short gravel runway with the aircraft in the max takeoff wheight. The runway was about 3280 ft long and the airfield was about 1000 ft above sea level. With the elevator trim set for takeoff and flaps in the first setting, I've applied power to the engine. The aircraft started to run on the runway, jumping a little because of the hard surface. The acceleration was poor and I reached the end of the runway with about 75 knots and still on the ground, a WEIRD performance from the plane. Result: in a poor rotation, the aircraft stalled and couldn't fly. I've tried the same conditions with the cessna 206 …
