Just finished this repaint of the Carenado Seneca II and it was a real pain getting all the stripes lined up! It's based on a real life aircraft (see picture) with a fictional tail number. Thanks to Flya 150 for doing a quick beta-test and spotting a few mistakes...

  4. I was thinking about getting Shockwave Redux Lights pack but I fly Carenado planes mostly and wanted to make sure they are compatible together? Do you have to do anything special to set it up? Anyone know of any issues? Thanks

  5. Hi all, this is my first time posting in the forums, and I would just like to know if there any different sounds I can download for the Carenado Mooney. The sounds that the aircraft came with are far from that of the real Lycoming IO-360 that the aircraft has. So if anyone can help me please let me know.

  6. Nearly finished this repaint of a real-life Seneca I found on tinternet (tail number changed). It's a bit fiddly to do cause there's so many panels... if a couple of people fancy doing a quick download/installation test to make sure I didn't miss anything, that's be great...Send me a PM :( Any comments/suggestions also more than welcome...

  8. Like a few other folks, I've had problems with inexplicable power loss on various Carenado aircraft (C172, Seneca, Bonanza) and, after a bit of playing around, it seems to be due to carb-icing.I guess it's an FSX problem rather than carenado cause these aircraft aren't fuel injected (or at least I don't think so...).If you lose power and you're sure it's not to due to poor mixture control etc. hit the 'H' key to turn on the carb-heat and that seems to solve the problem instantly!G

Has anyone had any luck with replacing the default comm units with the RealityXP gauges. I have looked through the panel.cfg in both the 182Q and 206 and I can't see the entries for the Com1/Nav1 and Com2/Nav2 radios or the ADF. Has anyone else been able to swap these out for the RXP 430 or 530 GPS units? If so how? Thanks Regards, Scott

    Started by Guest Rob1,

I recently picked up Carenado's 172N model and am trying to replace the default radio stack with a custom stack from my C182RG model. The problem is that the C172N seems to have a bitmap graphic of the radio stack in the Virtual Cockpit mode that can't be removed in the panel.cfg file, as can be done in the C182RG config file. When I removed the radios listed in the C172N file, it only removed the functionality of the radios, but not the radio graphic (which includes 3D knobs, etc.). I tried just add my new radio stack configuration into the 172N panel config file, hoping it would overlay the existing graphic, but the 3D knobs of the default graphic poke through (right th…

During my runup, when I try to check if the ammeter is working properly by turning off the altnernator, the ammeter shows discharging for a short period of time and then afterwards shows charging. Maybe someone else could verify this to see if the problem is at my end?Oops, posted in the wrong forum, maybe the mod can put it on the general carenado forum.

Hi,I came across following issue. After installing a patch that solves the landing lights problem in VC for that model, the propeller animation in VC dissapeared what actually makes the visualisation in VC even less realistic, bearing in mind that C152 is mostly used during days rather than nights. Did anyone have the same problem? Is it possible to unistall the patch only?Kind regards

  16. Started by TC1,

I have been unable to find any positive/negative reviews about the Carenado Archer II. Hows the aircraft? Does it have an autopilot (can not see one in any of the panel photos)? What do you like or dis-like about the aircraft. One of my favorite aircraft in FS9 is the Dreamfleet Archer III, but I upgraded my computer to a Windows 7 Pro64 system and I can no longer fly the aircraft because of my new operating system and how it interacts with the older style Garmin trainer provided by Dreamfleet. I have a number of Carenado Aircraft, but I always found and reviewed some form of a review prior to my purchase of a new piece of software. Having trouble finding anything wri…

Dear Carenado, Can you Please,Please,Please make a Warrior III with a garmin 430 and a "modern panel" and modern avionics like the picture below. I love your aircraft and have purchased alot of the oldy but goody airplanes but really want a brand new airplane. No crud on the windows and fresh leather seats. Nice modern yokes and fresh clean carpet. I want to smell the Plexus from the fresh windshield. Something like 1hr on the hobbs meter would be great. :(

  18. Started by cbrown,

I want to change the avionics fit to match the Lance panel which my son ( and I ) fly now. Is it possible to modify the panel bitmaps in any way? I cant find the 3 VC panel bitmaps anywhere even with hidden files showing. If not, is it possible to get rid of the VC and use a 2D panel instead. I would prefer to make a 2D panel to use but I cannot prevent the VC showing even with changes to the panel.cfg file.ThanksColin B

There is no doubt that your F33 is one of the most stellar aircraft ever produced for FS and I thank you!Now I know I am being pushy but there has never been a B55 Baron ever done for FS-ever! I have bugged every payware developer and gotten close but still no cigar.Imho this plane needs to be represented in FS.It would seem that much of your hard work done on the F33 could easily be ported into a B55. I'd be glad to supply any photos etc. needed. Just need another engine and perhaps some boots. The yoke would need to be opposite (v up) and a few multi gauges..Humbly and pushily pushing once again.. :(

When I shut down both engines and leave the battery on for a while, the aircraft remains electrically powered just for few seconds. After that, I cannot start the engines again, because the electrical system fails. I move the battery switch off and on, but nothing seems to be happening. The problem only dissapear if I reload the aircraft. Can you help me with this? the battery should mantain more time on "standby power".

Hi,On all my FSX Carenado planes, the new Bonanza F33, the 185F and the Saratoga, the toggle switches shown on the A page (for example, Shift+2 for the GPS) rather suddenly stopped working. Can anyone suggest what might have caused this to happen and offer a remedy ?Thank youJack :(

I seem to get regular engine failure on 182Q. I haven't quite pinpointed the problem yet, but it appears that it is often on the ground on high altitude airport or when mountain flying. I have been able to restart it sometimes...Any one has ever encountered this problem and managed to find what they were doing wrong?

Hey all, I am new to the realityxp products, so new that I have not purchased any yet! when I buy them, do they come with detailed instructions on how to install them? if not, is there a link to a tutorial of sorts to help guide me along? I have never modded a panel before and I have done very little aircraft cfg tweaking. I am looking to add the rxp 430 to the bonanza and maybe update the nav/com stack. any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Lovely plane - but some initial questions..I can see the green navigation light at the end of the right wing from the cockpit.. can that be fixed/moved?The flaps handle moves the full stroke for the first notch and does not move for the second notch.. is that right?
