is there any way to put an autopilot from one of my other Carenado planes into my 172 N? not needing to panel it....a popup would be fine. also own the Baron....T210..... and Bonanza 33. thanks...........Bill

Hello all,I went to buy this aircraft and I have some questions about the wonderful Piper:I can't switch on: beacon light, red and green wing lights and red cockpit light, I'm trying to find these in VC but no chance, the lateral switches near battery switch don't seem to work and no trace on the docs. I'm a big turboprop guy and not so much of a piston guy. Naturally, I have fallen in love with Beechcraft :) I haven't been following this thread too much nor do I really know what's going on with Carenado right now. Hi all,I've recently bought the C152 to practise with as I'm currently training for my PPL in a 152. First off, I have to say that the flight characteristics and handling is very good, and very similar to what I'm experiencing when training.Apart from in the cruise...In my training (and in a few POH's I've found on t'internet) the cruise RPM should be around 2150, giving typically close to 90-100 KIAS depending on various factors (altitude, temperature, weight etc.) But when I set that value in the Carenado C152, I'm lucky to be getting 80 KIAS when straight and level, sometimes less. I have been meaning to ask this for a while but was almost determined I was doing somethin wrong with my Saratoga in FS9 regarding cockpit lighting. For some reason, it doesn't appear that my panel lighting switches do anything (only the overhead red flood flight), until I turn on landing lights. Once I turn on my landing lights, my instrument backlighting kicks in, which seems odd to me. Does anyone else experience this?Thanks.

Sorry if this has been addressed before but I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of the tinted windows in the C172. Love flying the plane but can't stand the tint.I know Carenado has a fix for the Mooney tinted windows but don't know about the 172.Tried to get on the Carenado website but can't for some reason. I bought the C182RG this week and I like it, but I do NOT like the very tinted glass, which spoils the view imho. It might be realistic... but I don't like it. :( I downloaded the HD textures from Orbx and with those the glass is almost transparent. But... it's a VERY heavy file and you still see some posts and so on. So I wondered: is it possible to get completely transparent windows in the VC?I like the plane btw: I like the original white panel more than the HD black one. And everything looks quite real, etc. and I really LOVE the sounds!!! What the HD stands for in the King Air and and Malibu? Better cockpit? But better than what? Poorer performance? Don´t get me wrong, I´m eagerly waiting for the new releases. Just would like to know what we will get...

Is it just me or do others have an annoying repeating engine sound problem at low-medium throttle settings ? (a "plok" every few seconds like if the .wav needs some editing) Apart from that, a lovely release !

Eventually, this topic can move to the, yet to be created, C337 forum, but here goes for now.. The autopilot in this airplane appears to be a Cessna 400 Integrated Flight Control System,consisting of a 400A autopilot and an IFCS mode selector. (picture attached) Problem is, Carenado does not provide a manual and I have not found a manual fordownload on the Internet anywhere. AlI I found, was a RW 337 airplane owner looking forthe same manual. So, does anyone here have some information on this autopilot that they could share?That would be a great start!

When i let the 530 install, after switching it on, FSX hangs and must hard stoppt. Did anyone see the same? Iz happens with the Sykmaster an Centurion.

Hello, Maybe this has been discussed before and I did search the forum without any luck. I just wanted to express my desire for a ADF standby frequency on the King KR87 ADF receiver that is found in many of the Carenado aircraft. This may not be an issue for people in the States but in Europe we still have a lot of NDB based approaches, both pure NDB approaches and NDB based precision approaches. I don't think it shouldn't be that hard to add the standby frequency and a functional swap button. I could do that myself but I'm not good enough with XML-coding. Every time I click on either the NAV or HDG, the ALT gets turned OFF.If I click on ALT, then it's NAV or HDG that get turned OFF. Anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me? It's just that it's frustrating when it does this, because sometimes my Sidewinder FF Joystick does not get centered when released and so the plane either climbs or dives (if ALT is turned off) or banks left or right (if NAV or HDG are turned off). Other than that, I love this aircraft (as I do all my Carenado aircraft). Great job Carenado! Keep up the great work. Mark

I emailed Carenado to find out how to buy an aircraft for a friend. They reckon I've to give them (the friend) my account password! That doesn't sound like a good idea eh? I give them my password and email, they log in and download the plane. I then change my password. How do they get support and another download should they need it?The other alternative was to open an account for them. Their details, my credit card number! Don't think so...Has anyone here done it and how did you go about it?

Hi, has anyone else noticed the props aren't behaving properly? The first thing I noticed was the inability to feather them, then after more experimentation I noticed they consistantly changed RPM with changes in manifold pressure, which they shouldn't do being constant speed props. Personally I think they need to be looked at.

Hi, Because of a crash of my external harddrive I lost all my Carenado installers. I've purchased a new drive and want all my Carenado aircraft back. Will it be sufficient to download the main installers? Are these up to date? Or do I need to redownload all the available updates as well?

I must have flown my C206 for the first time at night, and was not satisfied with the interior lighting. The panel lights and cockpit dome light seem to be tied together. By this I mean I could not turn on one without the other, and both knobs do the exact same thing. I did notice that the panel lights come of first, followed by the interior dome light a second later. After looking through the manual I can't find a solution. So my question is am I doing something wrong? If not, is there a way to remove/disable the dome light so I can see outside at night? I really only need the dash panel lights anyway. Thanks.
