Hello! I'm planning a flight in the Q400 from EDDH to EHAM yesterday but finally don't have time to do it. In the approach chart ILS 18C, I think the descent is too aggressive. Do you fly this approach? Enviado desde mi Nexus 5 mediante Tapatalk

Hi, do you know what are the MEL to be included in a flight plan for the following aircraft? I'm referring to real data. MD80 MD11 737 A320 777 I have a draft, but I'm not sure which is correct: A320/M-SGKPRWY/S B738/M-SDE1FGHIJ1RWXYZ/L (PBN/A1B1C1D1L1O1S1) MD11/H-SDE1FGHIJ1RWXYZ/L (PBN/A1B1C1D1L1O1S1) MD80/M-SDFGLORVWY/S ( PBN/A1B1L1)

I am unsure how to even go about asking this question. I fly a common Southwest route between KOAK to KSNA as a passenger. I wanted to duplicate this flight in FSX(pmdg737ng). So I went to flight aware and looked up the flight plan which according to Flightaware is KOAK COAST5 SXC KSNA. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/SWA915/history/20131008/0115Z/KOAK/KSNA Using simroutes.com or even the FMC selecting what I believe is correct has some waypoints overlapping. My question is the flight plan ends at SXC I would assume that a STAR is used for ILS19R and based on having been on this flight I believe it was Tandy3, but there is nothing in the flight plan. Ther…

Greetings! My winter project is to learn how to get from point A to point B using IFR instruments and planning. One of things that I feel is overlooked in FSX is the "Learning Center", where a really diverse number of topics are covered, including how to use an HSI. ADR, following VOR routes, etc. This content does not seem to exist under P3D V1.4 - the Learning Center pull-down seems to cover only P3D-specific topics. I also note that many of the tutorials in FSX are excerpted from a book called "Cleared for Take-off", from King Schools, date 1998. Is this after LM purchased the ESP code from Microsoft, and why it does not appear in the P3D Learning Cente…

Hello. Does anyone have any copies of recent Qantas flight plans to Antarctica (preferably covering different routes). I did find one on the internet a couple of years ago. I'm really hopeful of obtaining flight plans a little more recent (over Mount Erebus would be very cool!). It doesn't really matter where the flights originate from. As always, thank you all in advance for all you do to support our community.

I'm planning a short IFR flight from Kalispell (S27) to Missoula (KMSO). However, the only published charts I found for Missoula are IAPs, no terminal charts. Just out of curiosity - is this related to a size of an airport and/or its location relative to victor / jet airways? Thanks!

Is it true that the entry point to a TCA is always the Initial Approach Fix (IAF)?

Hello Captains: In a different thread (I believe it was on pg. 23 of the "15MAR13 - Let the Previews Begin!" topic), we exchanged some links to official internet ressources that offer accurate (real world) charts for free. With the upcoming release of the 777, I believe that most of have the need for getting those charts in order to fly around the world and to boldly go where no captain has gone before. Ahem, therefore I would like to propose - and I hope I do not violate forum rules here - to start a collection of these webpages at a central point for easy reference. I would like to start with the ones that I use so far: Europe (EUROCONTROL): http://www.ead.e…

Hello all First of all, before anyone says anything I want to make it clear that I am aware that this is a much discussed topic, and the answer I'm looking for is probably out there; I just can't find it! I have been doing a lot of UK domestic flights since I got FSX but have now started doing more European flights since joining a virtual airline. While flying in the UK, I have been enjoying clear and seemingly complete airport charts from NATS, namely at http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php%3Foption=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=6&Itemid=13.html. However, for general European charts, I haven't been able to find anything this good.…

Hello, when i was planning my flight in FSX (in airbus a320 MCDU) the following question has occured: DO REAL PILOTS GUESS THE RUNWAY THAT THEY WILL LAND ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER IN THEIR DESTINATION? or they just entry the flight plan with only the SIDs for the departure,no STARs and they wait to get close to the dastination and the ATC guide them through for the landing? If they actually use the plan with STARs and the ATC change the runway they planned, can they change the plan while in-flight?

Hi fellow flight simmers. I am new to the forum and new to flying 737s accurately. I have been flying KSLC to KLAS using the STAR arrival of GRNAPA1. Everything is fine as we cross FRAWG near the end of the pattern. According to the GRNPA1 chart you should continue onto TRROP and LEMNZ. If I follow the route to those points and then try to continue onto HAWKO and then CONDY, I never line up for ILS 25R. Maybe my altitude is off or maybe these last two points are for smaller aircraft. If I alter the plan and from FRAWG to not go to TRROP and LEMNZ and go direct toANy fee HAWKO and then CONDY, all is well. Arrival chart here http://skyvector.com/files/tpp/130…

Hi all! I'm planning to do a few circuits for training purposes on IVAO and I am unsure about a couple of points. If anybody cares to answer it'd be much appreciated! 1. Do I require to file a flight plan? 2. If so, what do I need to put in the flight plan itself? 3. What is the radio terminology and the communications required? 4. Are there any other restrictions apart from those specified on the airport briefing notes? Thank you in advance!

Hello, Dudes! What are the limitations which a commercial plane cross of a Country? I've no idea of that. At how much height a one country's plane can remain on a second country? Or it's not height problem? If it's not height problem then is it a specific zone problem? What actually it's? I don't know its basics. Please help me. Regards, AP,

This question is specific to airline jet ops: If the wind is calm at an airport with parallel runways (EWR, PHL, MCO, STL, HOU), is there a documented general direction ATC will direct aircraft to takeoff in? If so, where might that be documented? Thanks! Jim
