Hi, I was having some problems where the F.O. was having these massive pauses in his flows, even though the "pause" in between commands in the script was set to 1 or 2. Sometimes he would pause for a full minute or two before going on to the next thing, and it was really starting to impact the flight. I changed the CPU Usage slider in the GUI around and didn't see any improvement. I have no idea where to set it for optimal performance. Finally, I went in and forced the processor priority of mce.exe to HIGH. On my machine, FSX normally runs at ABOVE NORMAL. I don't know if this will benefit anybody else by knowing this information, and I'm unclear if there …

After having a few issues with getting everything working together properly, I had a really perfect flight yesterday! I took the Coolsky/McPhat DC-9 from EKCH to EDDL. I used MCE, together with RC4. The weather came from FSGRW, ground services were provided by GSX. In MCE, I had all options active, and all worked like a charm. From powering the aircraft up, getting clearance, having my F/O tuning the radios for me, all the way to getting landing clearance and touchdown at Düsseldorf, this flight clearly must have been one of the most rewarding and immersive experiences I've ever had, sitting in front of a computer! Hi there! I finally got my new headset (Plantronics Gamecom 780) and ATC interaction with RC4 works now like a charm! In the Coolsky DC9, I have a different problem now: Checklists and flows are good, but if I command the F/O to tune the Nav radio to a frequency, he confirms what I said, but nothing is done. Even of I repeat that a few times, he always answers stuff like "affirmative", "I will take care of that", etc., but still nothing happens. Two minutes later or so, he finally tunes the radio and confirms what he has done as any times as I commanded it before. Quite strange... Setting headings, tracks or altitude works flawlessly. After reading a recent thread I downloaded Very-Latest-mce.exe from the link provided and, after uninstalling, ran the exe into FS9.1, XP sp3 32 bit. Installed correctly. Checked ini for carry-over preference settings ... correct. Checked Modules folder to ensure fsInsider.dll had been updated ... correct (2.5.4.1.) Finally ran App Wizard as usual, Started FS9 to be confronted with a dialogue box:= ERROR - FS9 Flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled. File: fsInsider.dll Whoops ... this is new. Uninstalled/reinstalled with same result. …

Hi, I am using MCE with Aerosoft Airbus D and GSX. I am having a problem and I don't know if its my fault or if there are missing commands. I fly the A321IAE variant, the issue I have is that I have no command to open the aft passenger door which means I get GSX constantly harassing me until I operate it manually, I have similar problem with what GSX refers to as door 3 which is one of the cargo doors. The passenger door is an issue whenever there is no Jetway, the cargo door is always a pain as GSX always wants access. Is it me or is it MCE?

Have been using this for a few months and loving every second of it. A question. When Aerosoft releases their A319/A318 package, will they also work straight away with MCE for full voice control or will they need a separate interaction module?

Hi there! I am getting better and comfortable with using MCE and RC4. It's really a great setup and its working quite flawlessly. On some flights, ATC tells me to descend to FLxxx within xx miles or less. What is the correct answer to this instruction? When I just answer "descend to FLxxx, Lufthansa XXX" or "descend to FLxxx within xx miles, Lufthansa XXX" nothing happens and ATC starts nagging! ;-) Thanks in advance for your help... Hi there! After I watched many videos on YouTube I am really amazed by the quality and functionality of this addon. The speech recognition (especially in conjunction with ATC addons) blew me away! ;-) Here is my question: The MCE homepage states that the product is interfacing with several addon aircraft, such as the AXE, the Coolsky DC-9, the Qualitywings Avro and (soon to come) the MJC Q400. That being said, do I need to set something up in order to get realistic checklists and workflows, or are these things predefined? Thanks a lot in advance for clarification!

Hi. I m having a problem that i used to have in an earlier build but now it only happens with pmdg 747. After takeoff i get a MCE CTD. In the past it was a prolem with AES wich i sorted out with gerard, but at ths tome it only happens with PMDG 747 so i think that its a problem with this dll. Does this happen to anyone? One of the truly ground-breaking programs for FSX, IMO. I'm in the early stages of setting up my various airplanes, and still getting the hang of MCE, so it is hard for me to know what should work, and what is going to take a workaround. The MD-11 copilot recognizes "VNAV" and "LNAV" and "Autopilot" but none of the md-11 specific names for these things. Is this correct? It isn't a voice recognition problem. So I eventually made an alias for these things, by just creating a new VoxScript that commands Autopilot On when I say Autoflight, and command VNAV when I say Prof. This works fine, but I'm wondering if this was a necessary step, or is something is not working correctly.

I'm trying to tweak some of the voxscripts to do a go-around procedure. I want the copilot to set the flaps to 15, but it generates a script error. I know it cannot be an invalid command because when I verbally tell the copilot "flaps fifteen" or "flaps thirty" or whatever, he correctly sets them. I've tried just about every variation I can think of, including "set flaps to fifteen", "flaps one five", "flaps one-five" etc, but nothing works. But that one line keeps causing a script error. What do I need to do to be able to get him to execute this command from within a script?

Hi Gerald I just wanted to flag up some glitchy behaviour I experienced this weekend when I used MCE for the first time in a long while. Especially since it happened while recording a video for my YouTube channel. After the release of SP1 (v1.10) of Aerosoft AirbusX Extended, flaps cannot be set to 2, 3 or 4. (they work for 1) Steps to reproduce: - have flaps in 0 or 1 position (or 1+F) - say a simple command "flaps 2" or "flaps 3" or "flaps 4" Behavior: - the FO will normally acknowledge ----> if at 0 -> flaps will go to 1+F ----> if at 1 (or 1+F) -> flaps will not be changed Expected behavior: - flaps should go to the commanded level (2, 3 or 4) PS: My guess is they changed something at SP1 regarding the 1+F position (perhaps an extra intermediate value of the variable) and that messed up things. i use mce along with radar contact for atc only. all other options are off. however, i still get the occasional 'ghost voice' sounding garbled. i used to know the .ini file entry to completely disable all sounds. does anyone know this entry? any help is appreciated. just reinstalled fsx and all the trimmings and forgot to save/backup my mce .ini file. thanks.

Hi, The QW BAE146 does not respond to "the Power up with Ground Power (APU) "as it does, for example, the Aerosoft´s Airbus X Extended. I´ve tried to follow the MCE Flows (as stated in the PDF) but my copilot does nothing. However if I call, for example, for "preflight Cklst" he starts to read it. Any clue why? Thanks, Francis.

Hi, I´ve just started to enjoy MCE but I have this doubt: When I press the ppt the ATC windows appears. The MCE understands my comm but it doesn´t back me to the fsx´s window so I must click it to get back to the sim. Is this normal or maybe there is an option to avoid get out from fsx each time I talk with ATC? I´ve searched in the forum and google but the only info than I found it's this thanks in advance

Is there a toggle On/Off control for listening / sleep modes in MCE? When somebody speaks in my room MCE wakes up and starts answering some balderdash out of place or, even worse, starts executing some random commands. I know I could notch down the microphone's sensitivity or do more training etc, but the only truely reliable way would be just to assign a PTT-to-MCE button if there were corresponding control in MCE (besides, of course, mouse-clicking on the mic sign). Remember how it was in Shoot, or how you can set it in Teamspeak? The only PTT I can see in MCE's GUI is for ATC. Hey Guys For those here who have both of these add-ons how do they work together as both seem to have Co-Pilot support? Do they work together well? I have MCE and although i use VoxATC with it, i'm also keeping an eye on the developement of ProATC too. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks : )

Maybe one for the MCE devs here. Norton has just decided to delete my MCE .exe as it thinks its detected a threat going by the name of 'suspicious.cloud.7.EP' Any ideas why this has happened? I've had MCE since middle of last year and updated when latest version came out. No probs before and i'm sure there is no real threat here, just Norton being over protective again?
