Hi All, I know there are some that are using RC4 so I decided I would ask 2 questions. 1 about RC the other MCE. 1. I installed RC4 on a network just to get it up and going before installing MCE. During the RC4 installation, it mentioned that it could not locate the dll.xml file for FSX on the FSX computer and that I may have an issue. It did not state what type of issue I might have but nonetheless it was mentioned. Fired up and did a short IFR hop and all seemed to work fine. RC4 was very responsive and did not have any glitch's or any delays to speak of. Just wondered if there might be something that may pop up down the road with this dll.xml file. It did state…

Hi Guys, Firstly, the new version I've been getting good success with in combined with GSX startup, and radar contact for the ATC, woohoo! :) For the end of the flight - In the GSX instructions for MCE, it says: "Right now, interaction with GSX or AES after landing (the parking bit) is not implemented due to insufficient info." However sometimes the FO mentions followme. How can we ask for followme if the parking bit is not implemented? I tried things like "Request followme gate 7" or "Parking 6" and things like that but no go. Is followme not implemented and parking choices not ready yet? Will MCE interogate the GSX parking menu in the future…

Hello MCE users So i have now installed product and trying out the demo. I have made some considerable progress in evaluating it for my use and have it ( i think) set up quite well. Mainly i have it working along side VoxATC using same Ivona voice (very nice). That seems fine which was a concern of mine. I have had a few concerns/questions which i hope someone might be able to help me with. 1. With the MCE menu screen displayed and with FSX main screen up and running my F/O can be heard saying things to do with low speed, close to stall and various remarks that are not relevent as im not even in flight. Although some are funny like 'Don't put your stress on me'.…

  5. I'd like to hear your opinions on this. Wouldn't it make sense to automatically disconnect the mechanic when the GSX/AES guy waves you off? The dispatcher says good-bye when the boarding is complete (you don't have to command him to go), so maybe the mechanic can follow that thinking. As far as I know, the rw folks remove the pin and equipment, then say something like 'see you on the right side with the pin' and disconnect themselves from the plane's intercom. They show the pin, the crew gives an ok with a hand signal and off they go. No? GSX or AES don't ask care if your engine starts were ok, so that step is left out and, after setting the parking brake, th…

  6. Installed latest version to give MCE another try. (Started out with version 2.4.4.8 way back in 2011) VFR, no copilot wanted, small aircraft flight simmer still can't get position announcements coming into non-towered strips. I know there are other MCE users who don't use anything but the ATC function reporting good results. I sure would like to join that group but have had very limited success on position announcements -- most often, in frustration, just saying the ATC number to get my transmission through. FS++ Crew has been involved in this from day 1 and have done their best to try and help me. Their latest reply states that it is a "dark art" for a t…

Hi Guys I'm interested in MCE and have yet to try the demo version but before i do i was wondering if anyone uses MCE with VoxATC? From what i read they can be used together. If so, I understand that MCE is highly configurable and my questions are A... Can i disable use of ATC within MCE so that i can stick with VOX for ATC purposes? B...I have a nice selection of Ivona voices which i gather can be used with MCE so can i assign same voice to VoxATC F/O and MCE F/O? Thanks for any advice & answers to these questions.

Short and simple, can you folks drive your FO to set up 1630.0 on the ADF? I don't know how to tell him that it is not 163.0. Once you've manually set the four digit freqs, he has a hard time using other ones as he seems to read only three digits before the decimal. On ADF2, the same takes place, but I fail to see some actual changes in the sim regardless of the frequency. He confirms my wish for lets say 334.0 to be set on ADF2, but nothing happens.

  10. Still enjoying the voiced FO, but I saw him having trouble setting a new course. Not that he misses anything, but he walks the extra mile, so to speak. Example. You are flying course 348 and want to change to 028 after the VOR. Well, you would turn the knob to the right I guess and make those 40 degrees in no time. But my FO turns it the other way around (320 degrees), which, depending on the methods he uses when interacting with the plane, can take very long. :Cuppa: :P So is there a way to establish some smartness when it comes to those changes? Note. This may also affect the heading changes, but I haven't tested those much. To test, use the numbers from …

  11. I seem to experience a pattern (no pun :P ) when landing with MCE. It's the command for the taxi lights, regardless of the speech variation in use. While I can turn them on and off in every other phase of my flights, the command to turn them on when on final receives a confirmation by the FO (plus the red text showing it correctly), but he doesn't switch the taxi lights. As said, only happens when landing, so the flaps are out, later the gear. Anyone else saw this?

Hi all, Just installed my licence key and had a quick flight as a registered user. I had a few issues which I have not seen in the demo. With MCE already running, at the free flight selection screen in FSX I was switching to my F1 C177 Cardinal and then loading the flight. Upon the flight loading, I would get an error message saying that 'MCE Main Application has Stopped Working' - then MCE would shut down and I would have to try again. It then did this a second time. On the the third try it worked ok. Is there a recommended start up procedure to avoid issues like this? Maybe loading the flight first and then starting MCE is a better option? Thanks…

All There is a problem with GSX and the NGX,as in the wrong doors are opening and closing. MCE 'crashing/exiting when it shouldn't. Some people have reported this.(Version 2.4.9.3 is currently under testing by some users for this issue) FS++ are aware of these issues and are working on an interim update for the NGX door issue hopefully by next Wednesday/Thursday. The interim crashing issue is being worked on and I will keep you up to date on that. The next FULL release will be in approx 15days. BTW if we can all set our debug=1 in our mce.ini file and start to build a list of unrecognized words and then send the file (missing_fo_words) to the…

  15. Hi again guys. I have a question regarding my first officer when he is in charge of ATC (I get lazy sometimes). For instance, my call sign might be "American two niner" but my F.O. will readback "American two" and maybe miss other words in his readback or transmission. Is there a tool in MCE for adding words and numbers, so that this gets included? Regards,

  17. team to be dimplomatic .... MCE is spectacular except !! as a long time user of AES & now GSX - at discrete & different airports - i had developed many sequenced macros (logitech g13) to use each depending whther i'm at my departing & arrival airport (and others for gate selection at the arriving airport). i have / had no need to worry about doors etc. nor catering after pressing 1 sequenced key (ie macro). frankly i don't think i need mce to control either aes or gsx ... but i can't stop it interferring after i "manually select" either as appropriate through the macros. with gsx in particular, manual initition opens "automatically" the wro…

Hi guys, I've modified the current flows and created some new ones for the 737NGX. Theres a flow checklist for both Captain and FO and takes into account AES/GSX. Hope you like and any problems let me know. Cheers Dan https://www.dropbox.com/s/ybp66ma4hsfs2q7/Oldmcroins%20PMDG%20737-700NGX%20WL%20MCE%20Flows%20v1.0.zip

Folks I am belatedly considering purchasing the MD11 (for FS9) and I wonder whether any MCE user would care to comment as to its success in integrating with this aircraft? Frankly I would prefer these days not to buy the competitor product ... but I do need as much seamless support as possible to come to grips with this amazing aircraft. Thanks in advance.

O.K. I have found out what i was doing wrong with GSX, so now my next problem is with my F.O. He refuses to do as he is told , if i use any command from the examples in the AUTOPILOT cmd. rtf, he will only add the value and not set "to" that value. For example if i say "Select Airspeed 250", he will add that value to the present speed. Or "Select Flight Level 5000", he will add 5000 to what my altitude already is and the same for heading degrees. How do i get my F.O. to set my altimeter to a specific altitude or my speed to 250 knots? Thanks,

  21. Hi Folks. I have just purchased MCE & am in the process of setting up. I am having a problem with the way i want to set up my sound and i don't know if i am trying to do something that can't be done, so i would like some opinions or advice please. I am using a separate sound card and a USB headset and i would like to speak to ATC & MCE through my headset mike, receive ATC directions/chatter through my speakers & receive mce talkback through my headset earphones. I am running W7, 64bit. One question: Can this be done? Thanks,

gerald i wanted to cross check whether i am achieving the correct setup using the ngx with mce .... i don't think i am !! the attached is how my control panel shows ... what seems to be the generic 737 as the chosen aircraft. when flying, i also notice the copilot checks on landing & flap speeds are those of that generic aircraft, not those of the ng (though in the later case, i cant see a reference file titled ngx). I would appreciate your advice. thanks

  23. Hi, I've just purchased MCE and have so far only tried it with the PMDG 737NGX. I've hit a few problems which someone here may be able to assist me with. Here are my most pressing MCE issues: 1) Starting a new flight cold & dark I find I can't "set autobrake RTO" as the copilot replies "can't select rejected takeoff on the autobrake when we are airborne captain". We are most definitely on the ground. 2) When I request him to "release parking brake" his only response is to yell at me "do you want to destroy the gear on landing or what?" 3) Whilst I can get my co-pilot to set the vertical speed to a positive value I can't work out how to get him to set a…

team i have an annoying little problem ... as it is my preferred phrasing to say "speed / heading / track <***>" on my ngx. all works fine except when i say "speed 2 1 0" for example, the copilot intereprets "speed to 1 0". saying for example "speed 1 9 0" or track "2 1 0" is no problem. there seems no command phrasing "speed to" which might be the clash ... as listed in the various command files. saying "2 1 0 speed" is okay, but any phrase with "2" after "speed" is a problem - eg "airspeed 2 1 0". so, any help on this would be welocome.
