Hi all, I am considering MCE but my only real interest as a mainly GA flyer is in the ability to voice interact with the FS ATC. Is MCE worth the cost for this feature alone? Thanks, Glenn Ah just seen that there is a demo. Probably best to give it a try myself!

Just downloaded and did a test flight on the MD11, am very impressed!!! The script flow worked a lot better, and a lot faster as well. Requests to the first officer to make changes on the autopilot seemed a lot more robust, so far this is a winner for me!

After I uploaded the PMDG MD-11 video, I came across several VERY good videos showing MCE and how it integrates with FSX...learnt a few new things as well! Check these out: Test flight with Cessna 172 Touch and Go's with the default Cessna 172: And a very good Captain SIM 757 video

MCE is it worth anything? I tried the demo, installed, I made wizard, I think everything was ok, nicer female voice said my name. I started FSX later, MCE, and nothing happens. My MD-11 parked at the booth, cold and dark. How should the start check list, I have to press something? Does everything I am doing well?

Hi guys The great team over at FS++ suggested I share this with you all. Firstly my set up is Win XP Pro (32bit) and office 2003. I had a re-occurring issue where if I used the MCE "reset factory default" (in tools) it trashed all speech recognition resulting in a complete uninstall and re-install of Office and a repair or re-install of MCE. I was having to hit the reset cos I have two audio cards (one for ambient noises and one for headphones) and when I tried to change the sound card in initial setting up it trashed back to desktop. I discovered DO NOT TOUCH THE SETTINGS accept the default. It all seems to work just fine with the audio selections mad…

Morning all, So I've been eyeing this program now for a while and I haven't downloaded the free trial yet, but I will be very soon. Meanwhile I have a few questions on things I haven't seen talked about for: (1) I've been flying the Digital Avaition Piper Cheyenne a lot lately and wanted to know if anyone has (or had) been using MCE successfully with it. (2) If I just want to practice circuit training and a few touch and goes at my local airport does MCE provide the functionality to do so; more precisely go-around procedures. Thankyou very much, Dan Raimondo

Hi, Is it possible for MCE to provide airport information i.e. Runway ILS frequencies or the Tower frequency of any given airport by ID? I can certainly get this from other sources but would be nice if this type of info is possible. Bob

Hi, I have set the mce.ini to not respond to ATC ptt press, but copilot seems to be picking up my RC4 desk speakers on occasion. Is there anyway to create a ptt for the copilot? Thanks Bob

H guys, I've been thinking of scripting some cabin crew announcements, like safety announcements or asking passengers to fasten their seatbelts during turbelence when switching on the fasten seatbelt signs etc (there are lots of possibilities) and with being able to script everything yourself, it can be customised to whatever airline you are flying. Awesome! But my concern is that the announcements would be the same volume as what you would hear in the cockpit and would distract from what's trying to be said in the cockpit. It would be good if we could have two types of cabin crew volume control. One would be the default direct contact in the cockpit where the…

So after a couple of flights using MCE i would like to edit the current NGX scripts slightly, (the .vscr files) What's the best way to edit them; can I directly edit them using notepad or do I have to use VoxScript? Also is there a list somewhere of everything MCE can handle on the NGX (or other airplanes for that matter?) Cheers Dan

My trial period of MCE expired before I could get ATC fully working, so I started trialling VoxATC and have been getting improvements in voice recognition probably from the additional training I've done to the MS voice trainer. But Vox is not so good with traffic at all, whereas FSX default ATC and MCE combination doesn't mess with AI traffic. So I want to buy MCE to handle ATC instead of VoxATC, so I can use traffic. We all know that FSX ATC is missing a few things though. I can live with it failing to control AI aircraft 100% properly. But I'd like to try and improve my own procedures. So I was thinking if I add a supplementary "checklist" for the ATC stuff …

Just did my first full flight with MCE today and I have to say its a really, really impressive and I hope that the program will continue to evolve and improve as its such a good and fun tool. I'm flying the NGX and downloaded the updated scripts and flows and it worked really well. There were a few moments where the speech recognition didn't quite work out as well as i'd hoped, for example the copilot didn't understand the British way I say "Auto" (like Or-Toe) so I had to say it like an american (Otto) for him to register haha. And setting some of the Al**udes on the MCP he got a bit confused but it could just be down to my inexperience of using the program (or my ac…

Hi guys, just downloaded the demo last night, after a bit of faffing finally got it working (just needed to run the initial setup again). So far it looks pretty sweet although after 15 odd years of using the keyboard in FS will take some getting used to! I'm mainly flying the NGX at the moment and I was wondering if the software can control every little bit of the aircraft, for example I was trying to get the copilot to set the pressurisation panel to 35000 but I couldn't get him to do it...I could get him to set the landing altitude though...And how do i get him to set the overhead power switch such as switching from APU to GEN 1 for example? Lastly, calling …

I've enjoyed exploring this amazing program. I've discovered a curious problem--if I ask my co-pilot his name, he chooses a random response. For example: "What is your name?" "My name is 'You are the boss.'" (or some such random response) Not a major issue of course but curious if something might not be configured correctly. Randall

Hi All Some of you might have picked up from my other posts in other AVSIM forums and elsewhere that I have had a rather big PC issue, which has meant that I had to do a complete reinstall of Windows and therefore of everything else; including FSX. I've been reinstall now for two days and should be completed by wednesday(I have alot of stuff for FSX)! Havn't got around to MCE yet, just getting scenery back on first then aircraft, I hope the NGX works again OK, just had it tuned just right! Anyway, I be around a bit more now, plus I'm on holiday this week; now that's handy. Clive Hmmm just noticed my FS2Crew banner has come back, strange.....we need …

Hi Guys, I started trialling MCE, with not so good results so far. It seems I ONLY have co-pilot and not ATC. Every time I give an ATC command that does work, it's only via the co-pilot saying it. I'm holding down my ATC joystick button while I talk ATC. Also even tried holding down the DEL key. Both these options are checked in the options. I've looked at the documents and the phrases aren't working for me. For example I can't find a way to "Acknowledge" hold short of runway 1. I've tried Roger, Acknowledge, OK, repeating back, with and without call sign. To further compound my problem - my co pilot tries to take instructions from me when I'm talking …

Is anyone willing to share any files they have made for MCE? Checklists, flows or anything to save me time and get me started. I'm seeking for: CS 707 CS 727 CS C-130 Aerosoft Catalina X Feelthere ERJ & EJets Otherwise I'll just pick one and take a default file to start from scratch... Also I was hoping people would post their files in the sticky here to share: http://forum.avsim.n...ipts-and-flows/ Only one is there so far but it's early days. cheers

Not sure if the fellow users noticed the new update. I downloaded and installed, now i can use GSX integrated into voice control of my PMDG MD11 and NGX!!! I can request refueling, boarding, catering, pushback, doors to open or close etc just as GSX needs it without touching anything! Absolutely marvelous, a few things that need to be tweaked but all in all this is a keeper!

Hi everyone... Quick question...... does the MD-11 (FSX version) work with MCE? I can't get it to. I start MCE as I always do (starting a default flight with the Trike), then I load the MD-11. MCE immediately stops working. Has anyone had any luck with this combo? While I'm at it - I can't get MCE to play nicely with the FSX version of the PMDG 747, either. I have had great luck with MCE and the PMDG 737 NGX......... lots of fun! Also the Captain Sim 757 (please don't Booo! Haa haa!) - Since the latest update for the '75, it's not toooo bad a plane. Just don't try to capture the ILS unless you are PERFECTLY positioned!! Also, MCE works ve…

I've just come across MCE, looks very good and it interfaces with RC4 and GSX. I already have FS2Crew, so I'm wondering is this worth getting also. Seems expensive though? Anyone wish to comment on this product? Thanks Clive
