Guys my problems with mce still persist after purchasing, had no luck with the demo but took the chance anyways, here are my problems, First in the general section of the UI I cannot select or deselect any of the options, I just want to use the program for rc4 for now anyways, Second when it prompts me for my rc4 path it does not save it, it keeps prompting me over and over again, Im using it over a network and I did add the following to my mce ini file located in the appdata roaming location. [ATC] UseRadioNoise=1 SecondaryNeedAtcWindow=0 atc1=1 atc2=0 atc3=1 atc4=1 atc5=0 UseRadarContact=1 IgnoreRC4Registry=1

Here will be listed the 'addon' voices packs as they are released. Please use this thread to make any comments about them, good or bad! There a few 'inbound' over the next few months, ranging from First Officers, Mechanics and Cabin crew. We have already seen new cabin crew (Yvonne and Jessica) released in the latest update. There is another mechanic, just finished his basic training, so should be with us VERY shortly. (as quick as AVSIM library can make the file visible.I just uploaded it 10mins ago!). How long does it take before it can be downloaded? First time for me. The Female FO is still in basic training, but should be aboard before Christmas. …

  6. (Apologies for asking this question about another company's product, but it's about how it works with MCE so I hope it's on-topic) Inspired by references on this forum and in the MCE documentation to its ability to interface with GSX from FSDreamTeam, I thought I'd take a look at it, since I'm a sucker for anything that adds to the sim experience. I've downloaded the GSX demo and played around with it a bit and it certainly looks like a lot of fun. The improved pushback alone looks almost worth the price, and the voice control from MCE makes it a much more natural, immersive experience than calling up a menu to request services. I'm still a little uncertain about …

Hello all. I d/l and installed MCE today to try out. Now, and not saying it's MCE fault but I can't load FS9. Any light on this one? Thanks, Mike

Alright, so far I'm still loving MCE. But there are a couple of enhancements that I'd really like to see. I know the FS++ chaps visit this forum occasionally so... hello chaps! Here's a couple of requests/suggestions for you. 1) At the moment, it's possible to choose which sound device the recorded voices are output to. But TTS voices all seem to be fixed to the Windows Default Sound Device, along with any played sound effects. It's strange, because I've even got my standard windows TTS directed to the second sound card along with the Copilot voice, but the MCE TTS still gets routed to the main soundcard. Would it be possible to direct the TTS voices to the same …

I updated the installation today just to make sure. When I have the dll, my sim creeps to a crawl when loading and when I try to select a different aircraft from the "Create Flight" page, it freezes for about a minute before loading the 'Select Aircraft' page. Without it, sim loads quickly and so does the 'Select Aircraft' page. It may be causing some other anomolies that I see, but I need to test those out first before listing them. I just did a time test with and without FSinsider.dll with FS9 and the results for loading are as follows: With dll: Launch to the Create Flight page: 2:04 Create Flight to Select Aircraft page: 1:30 Without dll: …

Mostly I use MCE to read customized checklists for my add-on aircraft. Have only the simulator control and checklists turned on...no ATC or full crew coordination. After about 15 minutes into a flight, voice recognition seems to fail. The first officer stops responding for requests for checklists and the sim control no longer works. The MCE app is still running and responds to changes selected in the control panel. But voice recognition never comes back. My sim computer spec is in my profile. Any ideas about what I should be checking? Anybody else have this behavior? Thanks Henry

I sometimes run into some sort of FO blockage it seems. When commanding a new flight level value, I can see the read text showing exactly what I've said, but the FO suddenly responds 'ok, flight level (no value)'. Then I repeat the command in full, but he answers 'yeah, but what's the value you meant' or something. I then say 40 or whatever value and he doesn't change anything. He remains on replying 'yeah, flight level (no value)' but never acknowledges the actual value. Other FO texts are 'ok, I beg your pardon, flight level (no value)' while the red texts shows a correct number. It takes a few seconds and everything is back to normal. But in that mentioned …

Hi Guys, Wondering if Mr FS++ can answer - will he please add support for the Quality Wings 146 collection? At first glance it appears the default FSX heading and altitude works, but these are overridden when using LNAV/VNAV. It probably uses the FSX values internally to control the plane. So at the moment we can only use it if we are in HDG mode Normally with LNAV/VNAV on you can still bug a heading or altitude for future use, and you can if you use the VC MCP (but not with MCE), it stores a separate heading/alt/IAS. We just need Mr FS++ to do some C++ to link that Even if it's a limited support (MCP only), the ability to control the MCP helps alot with …

& today is not the first "religous" nagging i've heard !! my co-pilot has on several occassions "cussed" with mention of a "carpenter" who lived 2000 years ago. there is no place in the secular part of the / my world for this ... & yes my favorite song & life has been to "imagine" ! i hope you at mce can correct this ... it is an international market you sell to.

  16. Hi all, brand shiny new MCE user here (and relatively new to the whole flight sim scene to boot). I was looking for a solution for voice ATC comms and after testing it alongside It's Your Plane and VoxATC I picked MCE. But of course I'm now finding it useful to have a virtual someone in the right seat handling all the fiddly stuff when flying the big iron. And the barely documented mechanic & purser options are really adding to the immersion in a fun way (though I did go through about three or four mechanics before learning to tell them to disconnect). So I've worked out you can get the cabin crew to open and close the doors and warn them to prepare for departu…

Short and simple. What's the command for those? I couldn't trigger much with 'engine bleeds' or something in a sentence. My case is that the packs are on the APU after TO, the egine bleeds are off. So I want to turn the APU bleed off, the engine bleeds on and later turn the APU off completely. You know, like this. No Engine Bleed Takeoff and Landing When making a no engine bleed takeoff or landing with the APU operating Takeoff Right PACK switch ....................................................................... AUTO ISOLATION VALVE switch ....................................................... CLOSE Left PACK switch ..............................…

  19. Hi, just got this product and I absolutely love it. However, I have a problem. Sometimes when I give commands to my co-pilot Windows speech recognition understands them as some commands and does random things such as opens some documents (for example when I said takeoff or something similar it opened some random FS text document for some DC-9 addon)... How can I make it so that speech recognition would stop doing these random things and I could just command stuff inside FS to my co pilot? Also when I say Flaps up it recognizes it sometimes as Caps on and my copilot doesn't seem to respond then what happens.

Does anyone have experience with using designated speech recognition headsets with MCE? Some product examples would be Sennheiser ME 3, Audio Technica 8HEmV, or Andreas Electronics ANC-750. I'm in the market for a new headset and would like one which will enhance MCE's speech recognition capabilities since I will feed all other sound through external speakers and only ATC (+co-pilot) voice through the headset. I've even considered using a real world aviation headset but have read they can be tricky to get working properly, often a cause of incompatible circuitry (?). I figured a headset known for voice recognition excellence might be a smarter opt…

  21. Just wanted to share the funny story of the flight I've just had. It was a standard short hop from Manchester EGCC to Dublin EIDW in the stock CRJ-700, mainly to test out the new cabin crew VoxScripts for in-flight announcements. Things were all going great, despite the pretty stiff turbulence we ran into over the Irish Sea, and the thunderstorms we could see in the distance. We're coming in for final approach, Jess (flight attendant) is reading the landing message to the great unwashed, and we're nicely on the glideslope, first time around. Now I have a problem with Trav picking up spurious sounds from my external speakers and interpreting them as a barrage …

Hi, The VoxScript is a very powerful tool, but it can only work for planes that already have MCE support. Would it be possible to extend it to allow these commands: 1. Lua script 2. FSUIPC Mouse macros (optional for FSUIPC license owners - to prevent your needing a distribution license) 3. Keyboard commands With access to these, we users can create our own integrations and crew environment. It wouldn't take much to save a bunch of mouse macros, and then create some crew workflows based upon real airline checklists.

I had some things not picking up properly, so I've hammered out a bit more training with the Windows training tool. In particular my favourite features to use across all aircraft are GSX and Radar Contact interfacing so that is what I trained the most. If anyone else wants to go through the paces of similar additional voice training - these are the training text files where I combined alot of the common phrases from these features. I broke it up into two files because I can't take so much talking at once, you might even want to break it up more it's alot of talking to the computer :) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29331868/MCE%20GSX%20and%20RC4%20CUSTOM%20VOICE%20TRAINI…
