Had everything working very well thanks to FS++ crew help. Now, for some unknown reason, the ATC and ATIS sounds are coming through the speakers instead of the headphone. Have checked Windows 7 Control Panel/Sound settings and all still the same. Playback = Speakers Creative SB X-Fi as default device Recording = Microphone 2-USB Audio Device as default FSX sound set up is the same as before. Have cycled back and forth here but no help. Have gone through the MCE Assign Sound Device again. The Speech Application Programming Interface (SAPI) does it's thing as always. Have also gone through the APP Wizard again. I understand that the MD 80 from Flight1/Coolsky has been supported as of 2.5.7.8. Is that for both the "Super 80" and "Super 80 Professional" versions? If the level of support differs between them, that are the differences? Thanks for your help Dwayne

I upgraded to 2582 from 2580 and it complains that the demo has timed out, but I go back to 2580 and it is licensed, as I have my key. What should I do? I have done the reinstall twice with the same outcome, so it is repeatable. Also, the install says DEMO in the install dialog, but I downloaded from the website and the link in the forum here.

Hi. I have been using the Aerosoft Airbus X extended version of MCE and have been very impressed. I downloaded and installed the demo to see how MCE interfaced with my PMDG J41 and Majestic Q 400. When I try to start the demo its says my trial period has expired, yet I had only downloaded it an hour before. Is this because its seeing the Airbus version although it had installed into a different folder. If this is the case can I uninstall my Airbus version to try out the demo with my other aircraft? Will that work. peebee

Originally bought MCE back in July 2011. Just got back into FSX after some time away. Installed MCE version 2.5.7.2 and then 2.5.7.8. Installation all goes OK and able to get total success at all stages. However, both versions end up giving me the same problem. Procedure being used; Start up FSX from a saved flight with a default aircraft as instructed. Use alt/enter to shrink FSX screen down to get access to MCE desktop icon. Start MCE via desktop icon. MCE UI comes up and all 6 tabs options set up as preferred. MCE UI does it's shrink down to small bar as expected. This is when FSX locks up in the minimized screen view and nothing can be done. Just wondering about the settings on the Enable Random Failures option on the MCE Control panel. I've been a user of MCE for quite a while now and have always had the option ticked but, as best I can recall, I've never encountered a random system failure (as opposed to ones I've caused through my own daft actions, like accidentally switching off an engine in flight or something!!). So... - what sort of frequency should we expect to see random failures if we have them enabled? - is there any way to alter the settings? - is the MCE Random Failures connected in any way to the Systems Failure settings in the FSX menu? I never have any of the FSX failures enabled (since…

I would like to be sure. I found some checklist files and some flows into my MCE directory, but no DLLs or keyboard INIs (just like some PMDG planes). So I would like to be sure. Thank you in advance. PS: I would be helpful to have somewhere at your website (eg the Downloads.html) a detailed listing of the supported aircraft, and keep it up to date, with each new version. Also a changelog would be nice, at least for the most important / bigger changes.

Went to download the latest version today and a flash player install pop-up appears. If you go ahead with the flash install, Avast malware url detector flags the process as malware. Are you aware? Thanks for a brill program. Mick

I like the FS2Crew product, but I want to use the ATC functions only from MCE only and FS2Crew do the rest of the work. Any suggestions? Also, I downloaded months ago but never used. Now it says demo uses have been used up, but I've never ran it. What to do? Kev

If anyone can clarify this i would appreciate it. So i've assigned PTT within menu in atc settings MCE which is the same button i have assigned in VoxATC menu. But i have disabled ATC use in MCE by unticking it in menu as i use VoxATC. In MCE config i have enabled 'Use with VoxATC=1' Issue is sometimes F/O still thinks i am talking to him when making ATC contact when i am pressing my PTT, Sometimes, Not often but it happens. As a test i said 'flaps 1' to atc and F/O responded. I know its irrelevant to ATC but i thought F/O was deaf when PTT is used. So have i set this up properly? Thanks for any advice.

My MCE does not change any numbers, flaps, gear, etc ... nothing physical works. Any ideas? I have reloaded MCE several times - currently have 2.5.72. Voice works - co-pilot talks to me and responds to my commands, but he doesn't physically do anything. This applies to all aircraft. Help! Gus White UAL1063

Says it really - with the latest version, I'm suddenly getting Security Essentials flagging xpwiz.exe as a potential security threat and asking me to send file for analysis. Has anyone else had this/do we know why/is there any way to stop this. Seems to have started following last SE definition update . . . UAC off and everything run as admin. Mike

Hi, I am trying to install MCE for Aerosoft airbus and with a problem. I unzip the file and click on install and get the message about not finding the installer package. If I click on the bootstrap file I get the message this will install aerosoft airbus then another message saying I must set the fsx.exe to admin permission. This I have done but it keeps repeating this message and not letting me continue. Any ideas? UAC is set a lowest the slider goes on win 8.

... the locked version (locked to the Aerosoft extended Airbus v1.15) has been released. It's available from the Aerosoft FAQ/Updates database. Only announcement I've found so far is the Aerosoft shop page (U.S. store version only). Installation and configuration was easy. MCE interacts nicely with the Airbus and the PF (me!!!). Love the voices of Yvonne ( :wub: ) and Dieter ( :lol: :ph34r: )!

My first officer seems to have gone a bit dumb. I have a simple script that works fine when I get it to run, however My first office seems to be unable to comprehend what I say. The script is called "start setting up", so I say "start setting up". My co pilot comes back with "can you confirm, start setting up" or "repeat, start setting up". This goes on for a few occasions until they finally start flicking switches. I have tried re training the speech and changed commands but still no luck. Anybody else had this problem?

Hello, I believe this bug is similar to the aerosoft airbus one that I recently reported. MCE cannot change the ILS and course setting on the pedestal of level-d 767. me: Set nav 1 109.9 copilot: affermitive setting nav one, 109.9. me: nav one ident on copilot: No stations identified. or, copilot: We're not getting a signal on this frequency. i'm also at the range of ILS. in fact, i'm sitting at the airport which frequency i'm trying to tune in. Hope that this bug gets fixed. thanks.

Hello, Yesterday i've installed MCE again and also registered it. But i have a lot of problems with it, so bad i cant use it. Here my problem: When loading a flight everything goes as it should. Simon introduces himself and the FO is also in my plane. But... I'm using MCE with the Feelthere ERJV2 because that is my favorite plane, If I say:"Electrical power up with APU". My FO is doing that, but with every switch hey is doing a popup 2d display is opening. Also when looking outside i've found out my view is resetting every 1 minute. This is so not cool that i'm not using MCE. But i want to :unsure: Another thing is that i'm looking something in…

I have just downloaded the demo and have a couple of questions which I hope the clever people on here might be able to help me with. At some airports I have AES and other have GSX. I have not started using MCE for ground grew but will there be any problem when I get to an airport that is AES controlled with MCE calling GSX services? Second question regards making scripts. Is there way to get the FO or purser to control these addons? Lets say that I want to call the purser to start boarding, she will then make sure the correct doors are open and then call GSX / AES to start boarding. Same with getting the FO to call for catering so I can put it in with the electric…
