I've been using FS2Crew for a while however I have a few aircraft that aren't covered, for this I thought I could use MCE but I have a question before I buy. With FS2Crew you press start and the FO goes ahead quietly turning on the overhead switches. I have looked at various videos on Youtube about MCE, some has the user telling the FO what to switch on, some tell him to power up but he calls out every switch he touches. This seems very unrealistic so my question, is there a way that he can do these task quietly? I assume MCE uses text to voice so does this mean that my MCE first officer can have the same voice as my VoxATC first officer? Thanks in advance for…

ji all, i've got this problem.modify the ini to have aes on ground and se the pushback to 1. i'll establish contact with gnd and they answer me to wait for the pushback team but nothing happen in every airport same story. any idea? i'm flying fs9.1

I have been flying the virtual skies with an immense pleasure in company of my trusted MCE Co Pilot who has an outstanding talent to reply and execute all my commands (99.9% successful recognition rate), so is my collaboration with the cabin and ground crews!!! I'm in the midst of a very pleasurable and smooth flight with MCE interfacing with RC. I departed with the RC 'NOTAMs' option activated and wanted to tell RC when I was back on course. Couldn't get it to work, though. Checked the manuals and tested with weather deviation (which is documented just like deviation for turbulence is). Found out the 'back on course' after 'dev for wx' works nicely. Have I missed something with going to normal navigation after a NOTAM departure or is it not (yet) implemented? Thanks for bothering!!

This topic maybe is not new but if it exist this then please to redirect me to answered one :-) I have a key for activation MCE but it doesn't work somehow , second MCE support don't give a crap on my request to solve my problem on it .

Just installed MCE and would like to have a copy of the main manual in my Android device but i can't find where this document is located to copy it across. ... any help appreciated .... Alan

Setting altitude on the Quality Wings 146 aircraft results in setting the wrong altitude. For example, “set altitude Flight level 060” will set the altitude at 5600. The command works with all my other aircraft and I’m sure MCE is understanding me correctly (the red text confirms this) but for some reason the FO just isn’t twisting the knob enough Any ideas? Hi all, I´ve been searching on the docs and I thnk that my MCE.ini options are correct but I cannot make MCE work with RCv4 installed in a remote computer. MCE askes me to specify the rcv4.exe path in the main computer. Any help is appreciated. Frank

Hi, I am finding that the constant jokey responses from the Co pilot are becoming annoying. Is there any way to reduce the responses to just those that are necessary to indicate that the instruction issued is understood /complied with? In essence to make him behave in a more professional manner. I really like the program other than for this annoyance. Regards Mike

Hi fellow MCE pilots (wait, you are all AI!). ^_^ MCE takes quite a bit to startup since it seems to scan the active scenery. While this may be useful for certain features, I was wondering if there was a way to make this scan optional. Caching may not help much since I tend to set up my scenery in regard to the planned flight, so only the areas I fly to are active. Therefore, it always differs.

Haven't used MCE for a bit but now when I try it says trial period up, check license key etc. Cannot access the command menu. Have recopied the license file into the MCE folder (where it already was), makes no difference. This is a new build machine from when got license, is that it?. And what is the "activator" in Tools then please - it refers to "serial" Also had voice packs but can't see them to update. Flummoxed. Sorry, can't see any previous on this Thanks, Mike

Hi, just installed mce new version (haven't uses mce for a long time) and fsinsider.dll crashes my fsx when it starts (fatal error). I have : Win7 x64 UAC off fsx runs as administrator fsx starts and works fine when I disable fsinsider.dll in fsx.cfg. I tried debug mode but... Hi guys, I've owned MCE for years now and has always worked well. It's been a while since I fired it up but before I did I downloaded the newest version. It looks forever for the co-pilot, crashes FS2004 and then reappears saying it can't locate the plane. I remember problems like this used to arise from dlls not being intalled correctly but my modules folder seems to have the mce generic file. Is there anything I'm missing here like more dlls that have to go into the modules file? Also I'm on XP and running FS2004. Thanks for any help!

Since the last update when I launch the Speech Training Program, regardless the choosen option I have allways the same texfile "User Training_10.txt" displayed. The other files _0, _1, _3, _2, _0 or my Custom Training.txt are no more displayed but they are present in the CandC folder. So ? Thank you in advance, Regards, Richard Portier

I have my MCE volume set so that the FO or Cabin crew isn't yelling in my face during pre-flight. The trouble is that depending on which airplane I'm flying, at that same master volume, he might be be hard to hear during something like the After Takeoff checklist when the engines are going hard. I wish that I could stick in a parameter into the beginning of some of these voxscripts that could alter the volume on a case by case basis, to make it a little louder or a little quieter. I know it only takes a few minutes to shut MCE down and restart it, but if it is an easy matter to add a reset button, then I believe it's a worthwhile & reasonable item for the wishlist I generally fly either a light aircraft using Air Hauler for my cargo business and using native ATC; or a passenger airliner using FS Captain and RC4. So here's my thinking: 1) I understand there are two possible voice recognition databases, one for GA and one for commercial, & MCE chooses the appropriate one at the start of the session depending on the callsign used. 2) I have my system set up so that I can just turn the default ATC volume up and use that (for GA/…

A weird one for anyone who can help please? Sometimes when calling speed or altitude calls from a "just started" FSX session the FO sets the wrong value but consistently i.e. from startup, altitude is set to 10000 as default, call for "altitude 6000" results in a setting of 16000. Repeating the command results in a setting of 22000, repeat again 28000. Same with speed calls, it's like the FO is reading the NGX data as 0 and then adding the value repeatedly. I checked the 737NGX_Options.ini file and [sDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1 are present. Restarting MCE sometimes fixes the problem. Un-install and re-install has not cured the problem. Somewhere in the documents it clarifies that when you put a //1 in the checklist he won't verify the item is set as you say. But I've also seen //2 and //3 in some of the checklists, and am unclear on those parameters. What do those do? In some of the checklists, the FO will read the checklist item, answer it himself, and then move on to the next item. Does that have something to do with the //2 or //3? It's actually an FO behavior that I would like to utilize further in some custom checklists I'm making.

I know I have seen this addressed somewhere before, but can't find it. when using MCE (lite version) with FSX, whenever I change views, when I return to the cockpit, I get numerous flickers of the screen (2-4) before everything goes to normal. Everything else works great. I beleive one fix was to go out of full screen mode, but that takes away from the realism and messes with my tripple screen display. Any other fix for this? After playing around with MCE for a few weeks (and getting some great help on the forum), I'm really happy with the voice recognition and enhancements that my virtual co-pilot provides. Now after taking the next step and trying to use MCE to talk to ATC, I'm having some major communication errors. It's almost like the co-pilot and ATC use a completely different vocabulary... I'd estimate I get about 95% recognition from the copilot; but maybe 45% from ATC. I mainly use Radar Contact for ATC and have been making short GA IFR flights to try things out.
