Every once and a while, I like just doing touch and goes at a single airport. Now that I have MCE and PF3 I want to include ATC. How can I do this? PF3 demands at least one waypoint in order to use ATC. I was going to use MCE and FSX ATC, but got a message that PF3 was not connected and MCE copilot could not bring up FSX ATC. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks Rodger

Well about a month ago I was really looking forward to a change of pace and fly with ATC, after flying hundreds of hours without it. Was greatly encouraged at the reviews of MCE and PF3. Now after spending $100 and not being able to get them to work together I'm to the point where I've had about all I can take. The copilot refueses to put the gear and flaps up because he thinks they are already up. Then he won't put the gear and flaps down because he says the speed is too high. I'm at 80 knots and about to stall and he still says the speed is too fast. Flaps is 170 and gear is 130. I can reach clearance and ground but cannot contact tower for takeoff. I get to the d…

First, I have nothing but respect for Gerard, he is a very dedicated developer, and is very quick to get back to us with detailed explanation, his support is top notch, I am not a developer but I can imagine how much work has gone into this add-on. With that being said, I have not been having much fun with the product lately, I really bought it to add a FO to the FSL A320X in P3D and since 3.2 the inability to interact with some of the functions of the airplane is ruining the experience for me. Is there a way to reduce the volume of the FO's voice without reducing the whole FSX sound? My FO volume is currently to loud compared with the rest of the aircraft environment. Thanks, Stuart

I have had MCE for several days nad can't seem solve multiple problems. 1/ Speech recognition is poor despite several voice training sessions, in fact, i seem to spend more time chasing the FO around the cockpit fixing all the crazy tish he keeps doing..eg, 'taxi light switch on' i request. ' ok altitude set to 51 000' 'Gear up', 'ok flaps 6'..these commands sound nothing like each other. It doesn't recognize 'off' so i have to drag it out to 'arrf'. I have a Manchester accent from the North of England..don't know if that is what it is struggling with. 2/The ramp agent bloke appears to be completely useless..he introduces himself at start up, i can make contact with him,…

I can find no way to search this forum so this question may have been answered. If that is the case I apologize now. Presently the copilot will not control the com or nav radios for the F1 GTN 750. Is there a way to interface MCE with the GTN 750? If so then how? Cuyler Smith

In case you were not aware and being that understand you have PF3 voice interface improvements in the pipeline, there has just been an update to PF3 which has introduced a change to enable the PF3 FO voice to be muted when using VR software to communicate (eg MCE). On reading the following it would seem there may be a change in relation to the ptt button sequence, which may effect how MCE handles things. I've just got MCE and PF3 setup and am having problems upon reaching destination airport and being handed off to tower. The tower says something to the effect to report entering pattern for landing. I report entering the pattern but I never get a response. Not sure why tower will not answer my radio call upon entering the pattern for landing. This is the only time so far I cannot communicate with anyone. Frustrating as this happens every time I reach my destination airport I report entering the pattern for landing but I never get a reply from the tower. To make life a bit more difficult, I've tried to use Traffic360 with P3D/MCE. So far, no luck. MCE just refuse to acknowledge my commands, even at the very low traffic settings (eg. 5%). I'd appreciate your comments/suggestions.

I just went to open FSX and got an error message. Basically it was talking about the fsinsider.dll. I found the thread "Problem with MCE's fsinsider.dll". So I go into the FSX folder looking for the fsinsider.dll. It's nowhere to be found. There is a dll-mce but no fsinsider.dll. How do I fix this problem? I am running FSX as administrator. Also when I open MCE I get a window that states: Please check that you have installed the relevant voice pack. In order to close that window I have to press OK 4 times. This is all new to me and just when I think I've got everything working something else pops up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rodger

Hiya, I replied to someone's post here on Avsim about which version of MCE to get and in the course of that, mentioned I no longer had my installation file for it nor the serials, and I got a reply saying contact support, so, here I am contacting support lol.

I decided shortly after using MCE with FSX ATC that it was a good program but wanted to go to the next step and try an ATC program. So after researching posts here, I decided to go with PF3. So I downloaded PF3 and tried to get it set up but, I'm not real good with computers so I reached out to Ralf9636 who had experience with getting these two programs to function together. I really need to give kudos to him for helping me get these programs working. He was extremely patient and helpful in helping me get these programs setup and working correctly. Good morning to everbody, since a few days I'm facing an issue, that my GPWS callouts (1000. 500, 100, 50, 40, 30, 20,10) are missing) my FO just gives me the 1000ft and the 500ft callout. So I'm looking at purchasing PF3, and since I'm new to MCE, I would like some help or advice on the topic. What exactly is the advantage to using PF3 (outside of SID's and STAR's). I have read all of the threads concerning using MCE and PF3 but I'm not real good with computers and I guess the biggest question is how to get the FO setup to work with PF3 in MCE. Just wanted to chime in here and say what a great time I'm having with MCE. I don't have any addon ATC software so just using the FSX ATC and for the most part it is great. I made the mistake of going with the MCE Lite edition and quickly found out that wasn't going to work for me as I fly pretty much exclusively Carenado and RealAir airplanes, so I went with the full version and absolutely no regrets. Still learning, and the only problems I have had is trying to get ATC to answer at times but for the most part I'm good with it. Hi Folks, I am trying to use Vox-ATC with MCE. I have set up the INI file to mute instructions to the co-pilot. When I run MCE the ATC tab shows the default ATC. How do I set up MCE to only use VOX ATC. Sorry to ask but I cannot see any comprehensive instructions on how to set these up to work together. Can see RC4 and PFE. Any help will be useful. Looking forward to taking advantage of the potential of MCE. Thanks.

New to the forum and am looking into this software for the ATC experience. I don't fly the "Heavies" and am mostly interested in the ATC voice aspect of FSX. Mostly fly twin and single engine airplanes. Would I be better off with the "lite" version? Thanks for the advice. Rodger

Following recent update of MCE, I have noticed that my FO seems to randomly say something like "setting speed to 110 knots" or something like that. He doesn't appear to do anything, thank heavens, but has this random comment. Maybe when there is a noise on the mike, perhaps like me clearing my throat that causes it! Has anyone else noticed this? Hi, Imprefer tomdo my flying with FSX in full screen. Is there a way to keep the MCE UI on top always visible when FSX is on full screen ?. Will help recent switching full screen to window mode every time I want to input data into the MCE monitor page. Thanks

I made a profile that allowed the mechanic close my cargo doors. So how do I get it to work? I load the flight sim and MCE and then what do I do? I have tried the trigger word to start the script but nothing.

When I switch to the Avatar vehicle (not the avatar mode but the actual model of the Avatar) which is a legitimate aircraft in P3D, MCE crashes. Is that because there is no definition for the Avatar vehicle? Should I make one myself? Thanks in advance

Greetings, I purchased PFEToXplane last night and got my key. There is no documentation on what to do to get activated. The manual that comes with the download states that a key file is required. I found the registration.txt file and added my info to include the key. When I select "Activate" from within Xplane I just get a message about some form that's been filled out. How do I get PFEToXplane activated? Thanks, -Matt
