PMDG 777

Excellent product PMDG - well done! I am experiencing a slight aircraft bounce ussually when I change views (this does not always happen). This slight aircraft bounce can also happen when I am just panning around the VC. Any thoughts out there on what might cause this? Thanks and regards, ap.

HI There Having just bought the 777 i made a flight from EGCC to EHAM with full FMC route and completed with no problems, However when i tried to enter a return flight plan the FMC will not reset to allow this function. i tried to spawn up in the frieghter version but this only had the same settings present. I then spawned back at EGCC and inputted a new route to Dublin and this is not accepting all the data to allow the V1 V2 calculation to be entered. Any help would be gratefull. Also the Autopilot warnig sound does stop if you press the z twice but this only turns back on the Autopilot which defeats the object. can`t this be mapped to t…

Hi All, Has anyone experienced the introduction of micro stutters when flying the 777. I have just completed the tutorial and experienced micro stutters over the whole journey... I have never had this problem with the 737NGX or any other PMDG product. My computers is a Hi end Spec. I am using the the AOA FSX.cfg Thanks Andrew

:ph34r: I use ORBX FSX Go to launch FSX and manage config. I had buffer pool size set to 350000000 and was consistently bumping up around 3, 3.1 GB with NGX, especially over ORBX EU and close to a UK2000 airport. Had the occasional OOM. Consistent OOM's with 777. I reset it to FSX default and reduced memory to 2.8-9, no OOMs. Just a hint to those who may still be frustrated and looking for an OOM fix. :lol:

Question. It is possible to change mmouse btn to other to make A/T disable. I'm using mmouse to looking arround in EZCA. On keyboard shift+R - it's not comfortable ;-) Best regards and THX for BIRD!

Hi people, Not entirely sure whether this is a problem or simply a realistic feature or quirk, but sometimes when i apply reverse thrust, the engines spool up, and then spool back a little before they spool up to 55%? It's like the engines "doubt" at 40%, spool down a little, and only then decide to apply full reverse thrust. Has anyone else seen this? Note, this is not a controller problem, reverse thrust is assigned to the "Throttle - decrease quickly" command, with the repeat slider full right.

I know it's only been days...but she's a beaut.

I initially saw that my ATC pop-up window was completely unresponsive and thought it was a problem with the 777. So if anyone is wondering, you simply need to turn the mic on "yellow light" in the radio console below the ATC freq. DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THE REALISM? Awesome product!

Hello guys, hello PMDG-Team, first of all, thanks for putting so much effort in the 777, it was worth every minute of wait. I really appreciate all the "little" things that are hardly ever mentioned but make the sim a totally different experience. One of the things that i find really innovative and is a total gamechanger for me, is the autocruise. I used it already on my first two 10-hour flights but there is something that i can't figure out: Whenever i set the speed to 8x or 16x (regardless if manually or through the autocruise feature), and then back to 4x or less, i get a loading screen of some sorts for 1-2 seconds. Low priority question. I'm not generally one to care much about cabin interiors of aircraft in FSX however I get a somewhat tantalizing hint of what is in the T7 cabin when GSX brings the catering trucks to the open cabin doors as well as everytime I change to the spot view and the T7 has to rebuild itself from the inside out, briefly revealing the innards of the cabin, before it's fully rendered. But there are no views (that I can find at least) to let me see PDMG's handiwork in the cabin and when I tried by changing the eyepoint view I only see the shell (cockpit, wings, but no cabin) when I 'backtrack' from the cockpit to see the cabin. If I start my flight Dark/Cold, How do I align the IRS alignment? Usually I see a display on the panel the time before it becomes active. Jason

Hey guys, I know FSUIPC's autosave caused some lagging with NGX, turning it off helped. The thing with NGX, most flights were only a few hours, so less likelihood of a crash. For these long haul routes, having an autosave really helps. Nothing is more frustrating then having the sim crash or power outage 95% through a long haul flight. Currently I have set autosave to save every hour so the lagging isn't too bad. Is there a better alternative to this? Cheers TJ

I'm sorry if this question has been asked. I did search the forum, but didn't find anything. After loading the cold and dark panel state (777 CLDDRK), then switching the battery ON, everything remains blank (off?). In the PMDG-777-Introduction.pdf, it says: I can turn the APU on, but until it is actually running, I see nothing at all (the VC remains cold and dark). No Displays and nothing on the CDU's. I want to use ground power until just prior to engine start (my preference), when I will turn the APU on to start them. Bought it yesterday afternoon, went straight into my VA's M/player event in the evening without reading the F-Com, foolishly. Everything went fine till I came onto the approach and quickly realised that I couldn't enter the ILS freq., in the 'NavRad' page so I could not intercept the localiser. Can anyone tell me, apart from not preparing properly, what I didn't do please?

In the tutorial I noticed the option to request winds aloft data using the .wx file. In case I wanted to enter the data manually, I'm not sure about the &&& CDU logic, since I got so used to the NGX. For example, on the NGX I can enter "250/53" at a certain waypoint in my cruise. The logic on the T7 CDU is _ _ _ _ / _ _ _C at a given waypoint. Is it asking me to inpute winde direction&speed / outside temperature? I've been trying different combinations, but get "invalid entry". Just curious. This plane was well worth the wait. My NGX is jealous of the sudden decrease in attention after its sibling arrived

HI, I am currently flying from EGLL to OBBI and since departing I've had to battle an issue where the next 1 or 2 (sometimes more) waypoints have their speeds set to 170kts in the FMC. I am le currently at FL350 and have set the MCP speed to .83mach. If I leave it on FMC speed, the aircraft slows down to the slowest possible safe speed, just above stall as the FMC sets the speed to 170kts. Now, this happens as the flights progresses. For example, in the FMC I can see that my waypoints currently are: BOREP 170/FL369 BAMAS 170/FL381 KEPOM .828/FL390 Now, when the aircraft reaches BOREP, KEPOM will be altered to read 170/390. Opus does it again! The PMDG 777 upper wind and temperature text file will now be created and automatically copied to the <SIM>\PMDG\WX folder. This file is only generated during a weather update under the following conditions, a. When a Flight Plan has been specified and processed (or activated in the sim). b. When a PMDG aircraft is loaded and sitting on the ground. c. When the <SIM>\PMDG\WX folder exists. N.B. Hello all In the Manual there are three different types of tank configurations L200F & LR 1. no auxiliary tank 2. one cell aux tank 3. three cell aux tank which one do we have? Also can some one point me to a diagram of the loading sequence, I cant seem to locate it. thanks in advance
