So in the interest of people debating on performance, I was wondering as to what FPS are you getting VS other planes. If someone can tell me the difference from QW757 it would be great thank you. If you have a comparison of your own, throw it in as well, I think other would like to know it too. Konstantin Kharlamov

I wonder if somebody could shed some light as to the reason why the fuel I enter does not match the total fuel. ie: my flight plan says that I need to load 64391 Kgs, so in the 777 FMC of the fuel loading page I enter 64391Kgs. Then I look at the total fuel and it read 64378Kgs, so in effect I am 13Kgs short. Not a major problem, I just wondered whether this was a bug or it was designed this way.

I have been having continual problems with the 777 FMS (and 737 also). The FMS cannot seem to command the auto-pilot to properly conduct the descent while on STARs. Yesterday going in to LAX, when the TOD was met, the aircraft only started (and maintained) a 500 fpm descent. The proper rate of descent to abide correctly by the STAR restrictions would have been 1800-2000 fpm. Of course, it is possible to manually enter the descent rate, but it should not be necessary. The Level D 767 has almost the identical FMS and it handles the STAR configurations properly. Is there some other input I need to make to allow the FMS to work properly?

Flew into RJAA this afternoon to test a few things and the lighting ended up being kinda nice, so I snapped some shots of the SIA livery that someone asked for ages ago. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I'm really just taking shots of the 300ER to torture you all (but only kinda...) Cruise Sunrise: [HI-Res] STAR Turn: [HI-Res] The Subtle Sweep of Being Light: [HI-Res] Finals: [HI-Res] Next up? RJAA-KIAD to go home, test its ability to stretch its legs, and end my following along with my dad's epic trip last month for work (KIAD-KSFO-YSSY-YBBN-YSCB-YMML-WMKK-WSSS-RJAA-KIAD). ANA, in case anyone is interested. Mi…

Hi guys, for the first time, I received an out of memory crash in FSX using the PMDG 777 on the Seattle to Hong Kong leg. Anyways, I am well aware about the limitations of FSX and that there is no real workaround to the problem besides lowering some settings. Anyways, I am considering using Bojote's tweaking tool now. I know that it won't solve the issue, but I've heard about the numerous performance boosts people have got from it. Does anyone else use this tool and does it affect any add ons (ex: PMDG planes) in a negative way? Thanks

I have gotten very tired of waiting for cockpit and exterior textures on the 777 to load. The cockpit textures can take as long as 3 seconds to load. So I was messing around flipping from external to internal while taxing and noticed something peculiar. If you have spent a significant amount of time outside the cockpit and then return, texture loading (for me anyways) is painfully slow. If you switch from, say Locked Spot View to Cockpit and immediately switch back to external and then immediately back to cockpit, the textures are there 100% instantly. My question is why can it load the textures in less than a second there, but not otherwise? Hoping someone out there with…

So, it's been four nearly five months (wow, time flies) since I first took the PMDG 777 to the virtual skies. During that time I've managed to rack up a few hours - didn't expect anything else from myself though  So I think it's finally time to give my take on this product you probably heard of called the PMDG 777. I wanted to get my hands stuck in a little more before giving my opinion on it - but now, here it is! Being fortunate enough to be invited on to the 777 beta was a little surreal. For one it took me by utter surprise- since I'd not long been in this community and had zero past experience with that kind of thing. Good thing I was in the passenger seat …

- I have RAAS activated in the FMC config menu - I have no other RAAS versions installed for other aircraft - I don´t have FS2-Crew products installed.. But it´s not working :( Any Idea? Do I have to reinstall the T7? Thanks for your help! Edit: tried a reinstall - no success.. checked the roaming RAAS folder, found a log file: Searching for Flight Simulator's Main Window... Retrieving Flight Simulator's Path and Version... It's a supported Flight Simulator... Retrieving RAAS Pro version... Reading the INITIALIZATION file... Checking for updates... Searching for SIMCONNECT.DLL... The SIMCONNECT.DLL file has been FOUND!... The SIMCONNECT.DLL …

Hi all, Had the 777 working before with no real issues. Did a fresh install of FSX after becoming a bit more clued up. Newbie. Did the new install in another directory (Not the standard one as the PMDG 777 manual suggest) Now when I start up/ open a new flight the cockpit opens up but none of the screen or anything works. I did activate the product. Nothing in the flight deck is 'interactive'. Cant move the throttles/push buttons/ move any switches and the screens are all blank. Any suggestions where to start trouble shooting? I'm using windows 8 with a high spec machine. Any ideas? or am I missing something? Thanks

Darren requested the AAL livery in Luke's BAW livery thread, so here it is (the photos are unedited, apart from being through a Photoshop batch BMP > JPEG, and some ENB): Departing LAX: [Hi-res] Clear skies ahead: [Hi-res] Still new and shiny: [Hi-res] I'll see if I can get a shot of the SLG in action later on.

Will the service pack address the problem with the auto throttle managing speed improperly while in turbulence and wind? I have turned down ASN turbulence settings, unchecked enhance turbulence, and the auto throttle still keeps a high thrust setting even when it is close to overspeed and not close to target speed. In level change mode, vnav, or vs.

Passing the transition altitude and pressing STD, should that change the baro number to standard pressure? In other airplanes, it remembers your last setting so when pressing STD again, it goes back to what it was previously set at. Is the 777 different? David Frank

Hello, After loading 777 and the initialization countdown gets to 14 or 13 a critical error occurs and FSX crashes-to-desktop (and then reloads itself to the Pre Flight config screen. After checking Event Viewer I see it mentioning weather.dll. I have already tried deleting all .WX files everywhere to no avail, and I use OpusFSX as a weather manager (all defaulted) and paid FSUIPC (all defaulted). Thank you!

Hi long-haulers! I have been using re-dispatch on most of my B777 long hauls since PFPX release. What has been your experience of how fuel remaining figures have been lower than before using re-dispatch? Regards, Richard
