PMDG 777

Okay so i was doing to do a flight tonight and as i loaded the flight plan and proceeded to the preference initialization page and when i clicked "ACCEPT" my flight sim crashed. I have to say that being a big flightsim fan for many years The PMDG 777 series is by far the best add on I have ever come across. From sounds & animations this is by far the best FSX replication of the real world liner to date that i know. I feel the sound pack that is provided by PMDG is so accurate you would never feel the need to look for 3rd party sound files. The Internal VC instruments are so prosise they are life like. The 3D Geometry on the exterior is 100% complete and beautiful. The overall package is amazing and is a must buy for all FSX enthusiasts. The work done by PMDG to make this baby fly is spot on ! Somehow I'm not able to receive a cruise speed above 250-300 KIAS within my flightplan/FMC. At least not by default - what needs to be done? Do I have to put this into the FMC manually? I'm seeking something around 500 KIAS or so.

When the speed brakes are deployed during descent in the PMDG 777 and the yoke is turned to the right to bank right for example, the speed brakes on the left wing go all the way down. There is no middle-ground. i.e. the spoilers are either fully deployed, or fully retracted during a turn. However, in the real 777, turning the yoke right while the speed brakes are deployed will cause the speed brakes on the left wing to go slightly down depending on how much the pilot turns the yoke. If you look at this video below at around 42:05, you can see the 2 furthest spoilers, and the two spoiler panels closest to the camera retract slightly as the pilot turns the yoke. You can…

Hello everyone, I'm planning my first ETOPS flight with the -300ER, and I have noticed something unusual. The performance profile on PFPX shows a lower diversion speed for the ETOPS scenario to the -200LR, resulting in a reduced diversion distance. Now this came as a bit of a surprise to me as the two aircraft use nearly identical engines, albeit with different thrust ratings. However, I guess this would make sense, as we are dealing with a higher gross weight and drag. The manuals didn't help much, as they directed me to look at airline specific procedures. Since I installed sp1b, when I disconnect the AP, I can't get the horn wailer to shut off. I have to land and quit FSX. Any ideas? I went thru the updated manual, nothingthere. Gnacino

I completed an overnight flight from BHx-DXB in the 77W. Restarted fsx and loaded the BA 77W, however, it loaded the aircraft hovering above the ground, with no landing gear down and no electronic instruments in the virtual cockpit. I reloaded fsx a few times, re installed the liveries via ops centre after it said i have a bad cfg file so i clicked on repair and instead of saying downloading/installing it just disappeared along with the 773 update. I've now deleted both 77L and 77W packages and when trying to re download there's nothing in my pmdg account to say that ive ever bought the 77 base or expansion package yet the 744 and 737 ones are still there from 2011? …

Ever since the SP's were released I have been unable to figure out how to land the T7 properly. I have read the section in the SP1 300ER supplement about fly by wire and the changes to the system. I think I somewhat grasp it but I can't seem to land this airplane properly so I am obviously missing something. I usually disconnect autopilot around 1000 feet and everything is fine up until about 100 feet when the airplane starts to porpoise and at around 50 feet I am pulling up to begin flare and the plane just suddenly drops out of the sky and slams onto the runway. Hello, Just finally updated to the latest version of the 777-300 (I believe 6061) and now on load up the aircraft is bouncing up and down. I really didn't think I needed an update as I only purchased the 777 on Aug. 1st, which was after the update was released. But the operations manager kept saying it was out of date. Previously I had no problems at all. Is there a quick fix, or something I did wrong that can rectify this, short of uninstalling both the 772 and 773 and reinstalling. Aaron Favors

I'm getting an OOM at the end of a programmed FMS flight from EHEH to EHAM with SP1b, SP1a did not give me any issues.. I tried several times but keep getting an OOM at near or landing at EHAM. I have default EHAM.

Hello all, I've been having a problem that started two days ago. I can load a saved flight, but the aircraft isn't loading the FMS plan (dashed blue line) and also not responding. Anyone else is having these issues? I can't use any saved flights anymore.

This has happened a few times now, and it happened before any SP: After I land and pull off the active, I use FS Recorder to watch instant replays of my landing from different perspectives. One replay doesn't seem to cause a problem, but two or more will cause brake pressure and temp failures even though I have disabled all failures in the PMDG options. When this happens, I can no longer taxi to the gate because the failures are simulating six of my tires on each main blown. I've tried going to the fmc and resetting all failures, however it doesn't stick. I can repeatably reset the failures, and it will cycle for a second, and then all 10 failures come back. To …

I've been doing a few practice flights with the 773ER to improve my hand-flying skills. While doing this, I came across an oddity in the way trim responds with the F/D on versus with it off. Since I only fly out and back, I set the altitude (both the FMC cruise altitude and the MCP altitude) to only 8000 feet or so. While climbing out, I tried to level off early at about 6000 feet. I noticed that, if I had turned the F/Ds on before takeoff, the aircraft would not respond to nose-down trim at all. The only way I could hold altitude was to push forward on the stick. Once I reached 8000 feet and the pitch mode changed away from "TO/GA", I could trim the airplane normally…

Hi, In the NGX i can have default cold and dark on startup and then sometimes when needed switch to one of the PMDG panel states (short,long etc.) This cannot be done on my system with the T7 (default panel state testet). I get a lot of errors in the aircraft when doing this on top of the cold and dark. Any ideers ? Right now i have to first startup FSX and the T7 and then erase the "load on startup panel" and restart FSX again. Michael Moe

Drifting viewpoint - as most of my flying is in the Asia region and nearer the equator it's a constant and distracting task readjusting the viewpoint, mostly during critical phases of flight. How are people overcoming this? Unfortunately for me I'm looking at going back to the NGX.

Hi, I have Active Sky Evolution now. I just got the 777 the other day. Love it! Would like to get the weather radar working and I read that I need Active Sky Next to do it. How well does it work with the 777? I can upgrade ASE to Next for $29.99 or should I get the 777-300? FSX runs very well on my system. Thanks, Greg
