PMDG 777

    I'm the proud owner of the PMDG 777-200LR and 777-300ERX. All was working fine until the new update. After following the installation instructions I began to experience FSX crashing to desktop when I used the "REQUEST" uplink as before to get my flightplan onto the FMC. I uninstalled the entire thing and reinstalled without the update to troubleshoot the thing and everything was working fine again. I then made sure that all the steps to install the update were as they should and again the problem occurred. I am in need of guidance with this issue. The updates were obtained directly from the PMDG website instead of the Operations Center because of an installer issue.…

    Apologies if this has already been answered. I've recently made a livery using the paint kit. I've got a small hiccup were the registration number doesn't show inside the VC. I've saved the texture file as a DDS DXT5 and it's located in the correct folder. Is there anything special I need to do to get the texture to show up in the VC? Thanks, Tim

    Hi can someone please educate me on what is EGT in Boeing 777 ENGINE displays ? I keep reading a normal engine starts before EGT reaches its maximum limit (a red line). But what is EGT ? what does it stands for ? and how does it affects the engine start ? (sorry for dumb question, not a real world pilot :/)

    Good day all, I have been searching all sorts of websites and maybe its just me but i cant find anywhere the dimensions of the throttle levers, pitch & trim Speedbrake and Flaps lever, not the whole qaudrant just the actual dimensions of the parts sticking out the qaudrant, i hope im not confusing someone here now. Hi there With the new SP1 everything seems to work nice and smooth here - that is however, until I reach approach to any airport with the AP engaged and the FMC has reached the end of route stage (leaving out RWY and STARS from the FMC). From here I always let the ATC guide me trough with direction and altitude settings to the runway of their choice. I do this through turning the still engaged AP setting buttons according to directions from the ATC, at the same time reading out the flapspeed settings from the FMC, etc. A completely normal routine which I have got use to through the years with both the PMDG 777, other 777 and 767 aircraft.     Hello, When I first installed the -300er the external camera worked correctly with the proper eyepoint and all. However, a few flights later I noticed the eyepoint has shifted becuase I used to be able to see the wings of the plane as well as the direction the nosewheel was pointed. Now, all I see are the shadows of the nose/wings. I saw some people used ez dok for their views, however I am fine with the view of the main panels. This problem I am describing is for the 2d pop-up view when you hit the cam button. I loaded the -300er at night and engaged the camera lts and i could see no difference..     I planned a flight at 34000. Upon checking the legs page before TO I found that page 2-3 the FL had gone up to 38000(why?) But , as planned I set the MCP to 34000. After some cruising at 34000 the TD appeared on the nav. display. I reduced the MCP to 3000. However, when passing the TD it did not start to descend , even though the path deviation indicator came up showing no deviation. After quite a few miles it did start to descend and all went well.It seemed as if the TD started as if I had chosen 38000! I decided to repeat the flight putting in 34000 again but as it came up with 38000 in the legs again, I set the MCP to 38000. I got into cruise at 38000 but I h…

  15. Hey guys after days of frustration, I think I have potentially solved an issue that has been bugging SP1 and my 300ER. Since upgrading to SP1/300ER I have not been able to complete a whole flight from start to finish, without FSX crashing. I have never experienced this crash before, even after doing 12 hour hauls pre SP1. I have tried rolling back drivers, removing my overclock, removing bloatware from my motherboard manufacturer company, increasing and decreasing page file sizes, monitoring virtual memory usage. Nothing working and so I figured I'd just wait it out. Now I am not sure how much of you experience this issue, but I have seen a couple posts on Facebook site…

    I was flying from DFW to ORD. I had set up the fight plan on PFPX, which gave me the route plus RWY 28R. I requested the route on the FMC. When the route loaded, I received a message saying Rwy 04L/04R was not available. From that point on I could not load in any arrival information for KORD. There were no STARS and no Runways. I flew the flight expecting Radar Contact to give me the vectors to RWY 28R, which it did, but I could not Unpark the ILS frequency for 28R. The FMC said it was INVALID DATA. Any thoughts?

    I just downloaded the update through the Operation Center, and afterwards it said there were livery data or something not found. Then I selected the option to delete these textures, and when I restarted everything of the 777-200LR was gone. I only have the -200F and -300ER. I can't select it in the Livery Manager nor in Livery Downloader. The 777-200LR folder is still in the Airplanes folder in FSX, but without all liveries and when I open the aircraft.cfg file, the file is empty.

  18. After installing the SP1b I recently flew from LPPT to EGLL and encountered the following problems which are reproducible on my computer at least. I then reflew the route without ASN and cleared the weather same result. I reflew without FSUIPC the same. I created a new short flight from LEBB to EGLL starting from free flight, choose 77L, airport, runway, clear sky then Flynow, no default panel, then request the route, enter fuel, etc. same result as follows: OCK4B STAR to RWY 9L, we are to cross KATHY at FL180 and HAZEL at FL130, I assume it is a continuous descend path. 1.     I have had this issue for some time now where I can not go direct to any fix or marker on the FMS. It seem after I input the flight plan and and begin my flight I can't change any fixes or RWYs or VORs on the flight plan, it seem to lock up. I thought maybe it would be fixed in the updates SP1/SP1b ,But that is a negative. What can possibly be causing this ? I just want to be able to fully use my FMS. I am very familiar with how to operate the FMS ,However not being able to change way points in route is frustrating .

    Hi guys ^_^ First i have to say im very happy with the new T7-300ER, beautiful plane, cockpit and wonderful librairies too B) I flew 2 twice with it, one with active sky, the other on ivao network.The weather radar work fine with active sky but if i shutdown active sky he doesn't work with the weather of ivao network.If someone is using the T7 on ivao, please tell me what parameters do you have. Had a very uneventful flight (ACA832 CYUL-EBBR), but on approach to Brussels, I was greeted with intense thunderstorms that made the airspeed surge from almost stall speeds to overspeed. It was quite joyful. Well, the speeds went around a lot, and I disconnected the AP first, and then the AT because I was nearing stalls, had the shaker a couple of times - still, no windshear warning. I've tried different situation: -weather; -scenery (default scenery vs FSDT/AS scenery) -with and without FTX Global and Vector; -daytime (from sunrise to night).     Hi all, I have been having issues installing the 777 300ER update released on Aug 8th. So I went ahead and uninstalled the 777 300 ER, removed any remaining folders pertaining to the 300ER, restarted the computer, re downloaded the 777 300ER from PMDG. After re installing, I opened the operations center and there it was again. I checked the current version and it was the old version. It shows that I have an update "again" but It will not let me install it. When I click to install it, it reverts to the page that I have no notifications.
