PMDG 777

Hello, I did not experience that before. I'm currently flying from Istanbul and did the preparation as all the previous flights before. But now I saw that the plane is not really following LNAV. He is mostly turning and that very steep (over 30°), then going back and banking to the other side. If that is occuring over a waypoint to pass he sometimes makes 360° turns or 180° turns etc. What can I do or what is the fault? PS: While writing I noticed he has now already passed around 3 waypoints without problem (distance between maybe 10-25nm). Also on a 85nm track he had now no problems?!! Why ever since I installed the SP-1 patch and the 300ER has my external views only and on PMDG aircraft only just show only skeleton views of the aircraft . I have run the EZCA confifg tool

I get this freezing that PMDG mentioned in the release notes.txt. I have no problem at ground but in the air my FSX freezes for ~5 seconds 1-2 times per minute and it happens constantly. I have no idea what is causing this but obviously I'm not able to fly with this thing. In release notes they mentioned freezing for 30 seconds but mine lasts only around 5 seconds at a time. :(

Hi guys, Have you guys noticed a huge discrepancy between the FMC's and TOPCAT's calculated N1 values when entering a assumed temperature? I have tried this on multiple locations and with different Wx and liveries loaded. Every time I use Topcat to calculate my takeoff thrust with an asumed temperature and I load the temp to the FMC, the FMC's calculated N1 value is usually at least 5% below what Topcat calculates. This puts me in a tough spot, needless to say. I suspect it is a problem within TOPCAT itself and it's probably being worked on since 777 calculations are still in Beta, but I'd just like to confirm this finding with my trusted fellow PMDG forum m…

Hi, I've downloaded and installed the latest update (6061) but the PMDG Ops Centre still suggests (via the notification panel) that I have an update pending for the -300ER package. Should this not have been updated to 6061 when the -200LR was updated? Please advise. Cheers

I need some help making sense of an EICAS message. I have looked in the QRF and FCOM, but cannot match it exactly. In my most recent flight on the 777F, I saw the following message in white: ".FMC" I know that "FMC" alone would indicate a failure of one or both FMCs, however, I was puzzled by the presence of the period in front of it. Does that signify something else? I could not find this in the manual. Also, if it was a failure wouldn't the message be in yellow? Hi Everyone, Still new to the 777 (bought it when it came out then took an extended FS break - getting back now and really enjoying the 777!). I had been having a frustrating problem that has now been partially solved by a forum search, and yes I'd probably find the answer if I RTFM which I intend to do, but with so much reading to do I'm not sure I'm going to find it all. Issue: The first issue is that Radar Contact wasn't working properly with respect to radio communications. Dear PMDG I find your paints amazing, but upon closer inspection of the tail on your Cathay (reg. colors) I found it to be of very low resolution, compared to say the tail on the Emirates paint. Would you consider having a look at it?

Just bought the PMDG 777-200 and 300 expansion pack last week . And I have been getting some Nav data out of date on the FMC. Do I need to update it and how? Tom Giesige

Hi everyone i am trying to figure out if i am the only one with this issue with FS Captain an 773. My problem is when ever i install the FCDU from the ACARS installer i get about 6FPS in the 777 VC. The strange part of it all is that even if i uninstall the FCDU from the ACARS Installer i am still left with 6FPS in the VC. For me to regain my FPS back again, i have to reinstall the 777 Base back +SP1+ Expansion. When i complete the full reinstall everything appears to be normal in the VC. Any suggestion or can someone verified that FS Captain runs well on your system.?

I had to use my Acronis back up to re-install from a few weeks ago and the update for the 200 and 300 took place after the back up date. The Operations Center is telling me that the 300 er is version 6036 and needs to update but for the life of me I can't find the update download location for this aircraft. I hope someone can direct to the right download area. Jack Fentress

Hey guys, So I've started painting my Lufthansa liveries on the 777 and I'm having some really annoying issues with the paintkit. First I tried my hand at painting an ANA livery and it all went well until I had to curve the stripes and the grey base at the edges of the airframe, the same is valid with Lufthansa for the grey base and the alignment of both sides. I'm completely lost because I'm not seeing any reference at all to match my paint on the other side. I remember the NGX paintkit having a guide layer for things like this, but the 777 kit has none and I am absolutely unable to guess how to curve, where to cut etc etc. How do you pro painters do it?

Apologize if it’s plainly listed but I haven’t been able to locate info on how to accomplish this (searches return innumerable posts regarding the other trim discussions). I have had no success mapping a key or joystick switch to pitch trim. Initially I thought this was not feasible in the T7, but I’ve seen others comment that they’ve done so. Any simple method or link to other posts? Thanks!! Dan D

So i had to reinstall my fsx but before i reinstalled my FSX my weatehr radar worked without having ASN, i'm shure i'm not the only one that has that, my weather radar worked with default and fs globar real weather, but now it's not working i have latest fsuipc installed 4.936, is there a way to make it work again? I am now having an issue with the pmdg 777 300er and sound affects such as turning knobs or switching switching switches. I wasnt having this issue til windows i believe yesterday windows came out with updates and since then when i fly the pmdg i get no sound and when i go down to my lil speaker icon in the right corner by clock on windows i have two speakers mixers one has just fsx on on and the other has my acars, asn, etc. This is a weird issue i have flown my level d 767, and my ngx no issues everything worked just fine! Any help would be great! Just realized is has some the sounds from the fsx and pmdg go threw my speakers on my laptop and some going threw my heads…

Hi, next week I will do an upgrade of my computer, new motherboard, new cpu, new graphic card and new Ram. The hard disks and software will remain unchanged. Will I have problems with the 777 licence or will it be automatically recognized? Thank you.

Hello, I have the new 777 and love it, however I am not able to see the landing lights or taxi lights from the cockpit view. i know they are working as i can see them in the outside view but not the inside view. any suggestions please. thank you very much for your help. kind regards Andrew

Ciao, ho un problema con la livrea di 777-300 ... Praticamente non funzionano le luci stroboscopiche nav e, anche quando si avvia in un freddo e buio vede una luce. Questo problema è solo con la livrea scaricato, con quella di PmdgHouse tutto ok. Quale potrebbe essere il problema? Ho provato a rimuovere e ri-scaricare la livrea, ma senza alcun risultato. Grazie

Hi all After watching this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9MRlFFXPL8&list=UU8_bi6SOITpwzhcZ_DdXzAQ you can see that during rotation and acceleration alttitude, the Captain didn't trim at all, I think only once,( using the blip trim function, I reckon). but at acceleration altitude, we can see him pressing gently the nose DN trim switch, but what shock me is that we can see that the pitch response is Very Smooth, with the current version, even if you change the TRS by +- 8-10 kts, the plane will pitch up/Down quite severly, thus lots of pressure required to try maintaing the flight path. acceleration starts at : 3:45 Am I the only one havi…

Hello, I have a problem with the livery of 777-300 ... Practically do not work the nav and strobe lights, and as you can see from the photos, even when starting in cold & dark one sees a light. This problem is only with the downloaded livery, with that of PmdgHouse all ok. What could be the problem? I tried remove and re-download the livery but to no avail. Thank you
