Heads up for those that may want to fly to North Carolina, LatinVFR just released KRDU for P3D at Simmarket. Looks really nice. Have all their P3D stuff so far and it works really good with v 3.3.5.

Hi, all. The motherboard in my computer has passed on. I will be getting a similar replacement (not matching); which means reinstalling Windows 7, and then P3D. What is the preferred method to reinstalling everything? ORBX landclass and mesh product first? Regional sceneries next? Aircraft last? I only want to go through this one time... Thanks, Ron

I currently have ORBX global activated in my scenery library along with several other sceneries, aerosoft Dublin's runway lights don't work but yet the terminal lights and lights around the building do work. I have tried disabling all sceneries including orbx and only left Dublin activated but it still doesn't work. I also have GSX installed.

I have this airplane and I love flying it, but since I got it in Prepar3D, it often freezes on startup and I have to kill the sim and restart it. This was on a brand new install with no other add ons. I've searched for a solution and flight1 has it in their queue to look at. I know that some others have them and others have not had any. It's been months now and it's silent as a church on the problem. Has anyone who has the aircraft and experienced the freezes ever found a solution to them? Hi folks! I remember I had this problem in FSX:Steam edition, but it magically went away somehow. Now I finally switched to P3D and this smacks my face. I have turned off all AI traffic with no luck and even installed the latest FSUIPC. I also followed a advice on reinstalled addon manager but that didn't help either. Anyone else seen this? I can load a scenario but the sim CTDs within 10 seconds. I'm looking into some of those "virtual" company addons that add some interesting aspects to FS. I tried FS Passengers long time ago in FS2004 times, in FSX I played around with FS Captain for a bit but than SimAir was announced around 2012 and decided to wait for that since it looked very promising and I respect REX as a developer very much, so it looked like a no brainer. Well, after 4 years I'm done waiting and decided I'll just go with what's on the market right now that being FS Passengers, FS Captain, FS Economy and Air hauler 2. Did I miss any? Hi folks, Yet another OOM thread (sorry!) I'm hoping to find a checklist of best practices for reducing VAS that's up to date for p3d v3. I got greedy with my new install and pretty much maxed everything out so I'm not surprised I ended up with an OOM. So now I am wondering where I should start to nudge things back down to reality. I'm thinking clouds, vector, and road traffic are probably the 3 best places to start, but what would be the best way to get rid of the worst VAS offenders? Hi All, I'm looking to make the transition from FSX to Prepar3d. I'm currently running a GTX760 on my i4670K rig. Do you think a GTX970 is worth it or required? I thought with the release of NVIDIA's new cards, and the corresponding price drop it might be worth the investment. Cheers, Mark B.

Hi all, Is it possible to access the add-on scenery dialog box without first starting a flight? I'm finding I frequently need to change the scenery library settings before each flight. For example, to enable only the airports I intend to use for the flight and uncheck the others. Secondly, anytime I make changes in FTX Central, such as toggling Vector settings, changes to Orbx region settings, then I usually need to enter the scenery library to move my custom airports above the Orbx entries. But I can't figure out a way to access the scenery library from the Free Flight screen, which I have enabled to open at startup. Is there anyway to access the add-on scene…

Running P3D V3.3, after following checklists the engines wont start for nothing. I hit CTRL+E and NO SWITCHES change/move but the engines start up fine. Any suggestions? Cheers //Grant

Hello, I have P3D v 3.2, a new install. The last couple of days I'm doing test flights while taking notes and I've noticed something odd. First, the setup. A2A's Cherokee, ASN SP5 on, Track IR, EZCA, and REX 4 HD TD with Soft Clouds. Same route for testing. EGNX > EGKK > EGLC. I notice as I fly I have blue sky with white puffy but rain and a thundersorm. It seems like I don't have overcast like I should, it looks beautiful but aren't you supposed to have upper clouds. In REX ALL I use are three things, Upper Clouds, Lower Clouds, and Lightning, sets 03 - 02 - 14. Today I deleted all the shaders and let it rebuild. Thanks. Jack

Hello Simmers; I have been trying to find out the mystery answer behind the "Tessellation Factor" setting in P3D v3.2. I know that this setting is responsible for terrain processing? But I have read it here somewhere that the higher the tessellation factor is- the more free the CPU becomes and the load transfers to the GPU? I'm i correct? In my specific example, I use the GTX 970 FTW+, should I have my tessellation factor at max? Or one notch back? Many Thanks for you answers and explanations.... best Regards,

I'm fixin to get a new computer and am curious about P3d. I have always used FSX and have been more or less satisfied with its performance. I see where more and more people are switching to P3d and am wondering if anyone has any regrets about switching from FSX. What are some of the drawbacks or limitations in P3d that didn't occur in FSX. Thanks for any advice that would be useful before I select which to use in the new puter. Jim

Hi, A few minutes ago I was install Prepar3D v3.3, And I find a new problem, my Lights don't illuminate ground in all type of aircrafts. This is the second time I re-install the simulator. Another problem that I have is I have no green lights in all of the airports! The green lights are worked but very bad, when I get closer to the lights they appear One after the other.. (Just in the default airports),When the ligts is appear one afther other, when I get closer to the one of the green lights, they started to be really small.. Instead of staying the same size. Sorry if i had some problems in english. I'd be happy if someone would help me. Thanks

Up-graded to version 3.3.5.17625. Client and Content version number updated, however, Scenery remained at version 3.2.3.16769 No problem with the program just wondering why it didn't update.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with the bad textures of ai traffic on v pilot. I am using p3d v3.2 and v pilot beta version because the standard one did not make the models. I have two questions. Sometimes models like the 737 look amazing, then models like the aurbus look aweful. How can I fix that. And I am using MyTraffic6, but am not sure if it is connected to vatsim. All I see for model matching is WOA then 6 models identified. They give me the models just in bad textures. And one more question. On the models there are little circles of light, 1 on top and two on the bottom. I think they might be the landing and turnoff lights. Is there any way to check/fix th…

Hi, I need some advise about connecting a 2nd monitor to my FS system and specifically regarding possible fps loss. Currently I'm running all my add-ons on a networked PC, including VPilot. Since I started to use FS2Crew Voice editions I have to run VPilot on my FS system (otherwise 2 headsets...) Since I want to run P3D in full screen, consequently I can't see VPilot client. This is not a huge deal, but when someone/ATC sends a text message, I may miss it and also I have to swap to windowed mode to send messages myself Therefor I'm considering to attach a 2nd monitor, only for VPilot client. In FSX I get atleast 30fps regardless of the scenario with that plane,but in P3Dv3 I get anywhere from 9-25 fps and a huge amount of stutters. I also tired the Ifly747 and had the same issue,stutters and low FPS. I've seen videos of people using these addons and they were super smooth. Im not really pushing the limits either,ASN was off for the P3Dv3 tests,so was traffic and my settings weren't super high either, Before I drop $200 replacing my PMDG stuff I'd like to know w…

Does someone know if it's possible to force the current system time to be used when loading a saved scenario rather than using the time that was saved with the scenario without setting the scenario as the default one?
