Hi all, Does anyone know why there are two dll.xml files? I have one in appdata/roaming and one in programdata. They are not identical. The one in appdata/roaming contains the most entries for the addons I use, The file located in programdata only contains an entry to Mindstar. Are both files being read? The biggest of the two also contains this entry: <Launch.Addon> <Name>CMetroXml</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\CMetroXml.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> Does anyone know to which addon this belongs?

First of all, I'm sorry to ask this because I know this has been asked so many times before. When using P3D v3, with the aerosoft airbus or pmdg 737, I will get around 15fps at best, never above 20 in any situation. My computer is running an AMD FX-8350 and an ASUS HD7870 graphics card. I have tried practically every solution I have found and am getting quite desperate now. I will post my .cfg tomorrow, but I just reset it as per a different fix. I bought a trackir just recently and am so dissapointed that I cant use it well with my sim. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

I've got an i7 3770K that's stable at 4.4 GHz, which is the maximum I've been able to get it on air cooling. I was wondering, since I'm quite tempted to buy a GTX 1080 to replace my current 2x GTX 670 SLI cards, is there any point in also buying a water cooler and taking the CPU higher? I assume it's a fairly good chip if I've been able to get it that high on air, but if I could get another 300-400 MHz or whatever, would that make any appreciable difference? Water coolers are expensive!

When I used FSX many years ago :smile:, I installed ai planes from world of ai and other traffic addons and I could see a picture of the airlines in the vehicle selection window. Now having P3D I was wondering if there is a way to see these ai planes in the selection window. I would like to see all the special liveries that that traffic add on packages make to see which ones I am missing or which ones that I already have. I would even pay for an add on utility that would do this. So I was just thinking about this and appreciate any help.

Been going around the internet and just found out that turning off hyperthreading may increase perfomance. I wanted to try it but could not manage to turn it off, can someone please help me!! Thanks in advance //Fredrik

Hi! Yes, i know i shouldnt post this here, but it takes ages to get validated on the A2A forums so i will just ask here hoping someone has a solution. Whenever i load the 250 i get a error message (green & yellow text) "Microsoft Flight Simulator X SimConnect Error has been detected, restarting connection". This is on P3D. I dont get the errormessage with any other aircraft except the 250. Never experienced this before, and this started randomly today. Also reinstalled the aircraft, but didnt help. What could it be?

I didn't really notice this in P3.2 but when I undock a window such as the GPS or FMC units the frame rate rate drops markedly. I have the FPS set to 30 via NI and when I undock a window the FPS drops down to fluctuate anywhere between 10 and 15. It is the same whether in windows mode or full screen. I thought that I read somewhere that 3.3 is supposed to be good in this respect. Any ideas?

I've got a 2500k at 4GHz GTX 970 two monitors at 1080P. Is anyone running this new software on a similar machine with payware aircraft and scenery? Does it perform ok? I'm running REX with OPUS FSI at the moment it works pretty well. But the in cloud motion effect seems really cool and I'd like to try something new. But it is really pricey for the P3D version.

Would like to know if anyone is using this in P3D. I can't get the config tool to work in v3 with Ezdok. My go with Opusfsi.

I understand that the LOD radius in FSX did NOT affect FTX Global night lights, and was not controllable. Can you control the light radius in P3D?

What's the latest version of EZDok for P3D? I have 1.187 I believe. Everything seems to work okay except for one thing. When I pick the airbus to fly, after it loads up and I'm on the runway, the initial zoom is so wide or far out. Even though I have already configured my views for this plane in EZDok. I hit shift+F1 for pilot view and it's looking exactly the way I want it. But how come everytime I load this plane up for the first time, the initial zoom is wrong? I have to hit shift+f1 for it to display how I want it to for the pilot view. I don't have this problem with any other planes. Initial zoom is always correct except for the airbus.

I run a [email protected], some good low latency DDR4 3200 RAM + SLI 2x GTX980ti, overclocking is very stable (this is crucial!). My monitor is a BenQ @ 2560x1440. Hi all, I have two ORBX sceneries - North and South Island of New Zealand when I do a flight from the North to the South I come into land and the scenery is even worse than default. It's like it takes ages to load all the details and textures so i flew around the City I was landing in for approx 5 minutes and it started to load. Does this load time come down to the components of the PC I'm running or is it something within ORBX. Having said that, I've just forced migration and updated my ORBX libraries as FTX has said to do. I have quite a few legacy aircraft left over from FS9 and FSX that do not have installer packages included and require manual installation so the Migration Tool will not work. I have tried to install them but they do not show up in the installed aircraft list. I will greatly appreciate any help the forum can provide me to accomplish their installs. If I need to change the graphics type I can do this I really need guidance Thanks, Dale

Has anyone else noticed that the default frame rate on v3.3 is 20? I was taught years ago that the best frame rate was 1/2 of your monitor's refresh rate so I keep my frame rate locked at 30. I fly with Orbx scenery set to their high-end computer settings and achieve 29+ frame rates without stutters and smooth aircraft handling, even when flying into KSEA. I never understood the Great Frame Rate Chase, I guess it is because I fly low at slower speeds so that I can enjoy the scenery that I have spent so much money on. Hi I accidentally deleted the exe.xml file in Appdata/Lockheed Martin. Can I copy the exe.xml file from ProgramData/Lockheed Martin into the Appdata folder ? Thanks

In my three projector setup, I would prefer to have all menus appear in the left view, in stead of the centre one. Is this possible? It would be even better to be able to operate all menus from a separate monitor. Any ideas? Vidar

Hi Y am new to P3d , When y used FSX you could search up witch servers that was running and join them. You could also manualy type in ip adress and se if the server was runnig. Is there no simalary function in P3d?? Thx Nils

hi all im using p3d v3.3.5 and fsuipc and ezdok For some unknown reason, when i have landed and only when i have landed and in no other part of the flight, and i use my mouse to pan around the cockpit, it goes mad and just goes is full circle in the direction i was intending to look. if i unplug my joystick, i can pan around the cockpit, but if i try to use the mouse button to click on something it stops working and all i get is a beep every time i press a mouse button. my only escape is then to restart my computer. not good when im trying to file a pirep to the VA. please help or the computer get battered by a rubber mallet.

I bought prepar3d yesterday. This is clean install with no addons or mods whatsoever. The problem is the same for all airplanes and airfields that I've tried. The default view of the virtual cockpit tends to be way infront of the actual cockpit position. In example the f-22, when I use ctrl+space to reset the view I end up on the nose infront of the cockpit. I can't use the ctrl+backspace, ctrl+enter buttons to change my position but I can zoom with space+mousescroll. The airplane itself has its wheels buried in the runway. When I make the plane move the virtual cockpit starts moving and flicker around like crazy and I can't see much of what's going on on the screen…

Has anyone had this kind of problem? I noticed it taking off from one runway at Midway (I forget the runway, but it was facing the Chicago skyline), and when on approach to 7L at Daytona Beach. Even though I'm well above the tree line and other autogen elements, I every so often "crash" into what I assume is an invisible wall protruding upwards from those objects. I don't remember it being so pronounced with FSX.
