I am trying to install and use SceneryConfigEditor (v 1.1.7). But when I have installed and want to start, it says Java runtime environment 1.50 (!) is required. I have already newest Java version (8.0.910.15) installed (win10). What else could I do?

I used the MSI Afterburnder and boosted my EVGA GTX 1070 founders edition? I boosted my core clock by +400 to 2291 Memory clock by +29. Thats it.. Aaaah! Posted in the wrong thread! Sigh!

Hello all. I am a longtime user of v2.5 (as long as last year anyway!) with Windows 8.1. I have just updated to Windows 10 and v2.5 works great, even better than on 8.1. All my controllers work well (a bunch of Saitek and some GF's). I have multiple ORBX stuff, FTN, Realair, etc for 2.5. I use several monitors for a widescreen out of cockpit view as I find this most realistic (was a real-life pilot in the past who finds the single monitor view not that great in terms of reality). Now I am considering to update to 3.3. I will install it on a separate SSD. I was wondering if anyone who has both v2.5 and a newer v3 has any tips? For instance, is there a way to co…

So after much fence-sitting and indecisiveness, I went ahead and purchased FTXG. I was getting tired of the ridiculous bright tan color in the desert, along with lower autogen and trees. It was between GEX and FTX. Still think both have pros and cons. Regardless, my question.... I am not as picky as most in terms of perfect coastlines, roads, et cetera. I think that only so much realism can be inserted without degrading performance too much. As it is, with my focus being on high quality complex aircraft, I can't justify making the world that perfect. PMDG 737ngx fresh FSX-SE install 27 fps, fresh P3D v3 install 13 fps, WTH? Recently found out about the existence of FSX Steam Edition. I had stopped flying FSX when I started flying DCS A10. So I figured I should start flying PMDG 737NGX again, and also obtained P3D hoping for progress since the - in hindsight - mediocre days of FSX ‘stutter’ graphics. Fresh install of both FSXSE and P3D, fresh install of PMDG 737NGX. I just installed Vector V4 and P3d V3.5 will not start.

I recall it was a German company that had an app (free and payware) that many people here use, that lets you setup P3D (aircraft, location, time, etc) and launches P3D with that setup....can't recall the name....

Anyone has issues with black clouds? i did check cloudnoise.dds and is there, but when i fly clouds around plane are black, anyone see that with their install?

Good day to all, I have posted this on the other relevant forums as well, but response time on there is somewhat slower. With FSUIPC 4.955 (Jun 2016) + P3DV3.2 + Aerosoft Airbus X....I cannot open the Cargo Doors. The correct button on the MCDU, it only ever controls the Front Left door. If I delete FSUIPC4.DLL then I can correctly operate the Cargo doors. Does anyone have any idea why this is? I cannot fly without FSUIPC of course. Outstandingly frustrating. Regards, Dom

Just built a new Skylake rig and have Win10 and P3Dv2.5 freshly installed. This is my first time with P3D, do I need Simconnect & FSUIPC for it to function correctly with aircraft addons? I read on the Aerosoft forum that you need Simconnect for their Airbus package & Twin Otter to function correctly... Not had much luck installing my P3D compatible aircraft yet, many have missing textures, panels etc...

Hi gents, Just want to share what I experienced yesterday during a flight from LSZH to LIRP in a PMDG 737. Approx at FL200, ASN was throwing at me an heavy thunderstorm with lot of rain that I didn't want to avoid because of its negligible extension on the wx radar (my bad). Normally I can't hear the sound of rain hitting the windshiels because of the engines and ventilation background noise, but yesterday, suddenly I noticed out of my windshield a different kind of rain (PrecipitFX), thicker and with sort of a "tunnel effect" in it. Hi guys, I thought I was pretty good at configuring p3d, but I'm stumped getting it to work smoothly on my new system. Maybe I'm expecting too much, in that case I am sure you will let me know ;-). My system is a new build with a [email protected] GHz, 32 GB RAM at 2400 GHz,a MSI GTX 9700, a few SSDs, and so on. I have a completely fresh installation of p3d, and the only tweak I am running is affinityMask = 85 since I am running with HT on. The scenario I am testing is pmdg 737 NGX at aerosoft ENGM with FTX Norway. Against my better judgement, I caved and bought OrbX SoCal. I had heard about performance being bad but I figured I have a pretty powerful PC and run relatively modest settings, so I thought (with any control panel options turned off) it'd be OK. KSEA area in PNW for example runs pretty well for me (upper 30's with A2A aircraft.) Wow, this is really bad. Even in the A2A 172 I'm at like mid 20's FPS in areas along the coast. I'm not even going to bother trying a PMDG there, I'm sure it'd be in the 10-15 range. Has anyone heard if they are planning on releasing an update with more options to help FPS?

Flew the A2A B377 into Telluride from Jackson Hole-a very hairy approach to Rwy, 9 which required two go arounds Great, great scenery at Telluride. After shutdown, per my normal routine with ORBX, I switched to flying the Paramotor and the scenery was even better. I didn't stick to real life experiences (you can't fly a Paramotor within 5 miles of an airport or in crowded areas) but flew illegally anyway at about 17mph through the town, up and down the mountainsides and even followed the ski lifts to the top of the run and down! I was looking forward to spending a nice afternoon flying the Aerosoft Airbus for the first time in ages but up to now it's only been hell. I would like to fly with ProATC but I just can't get it working. First problem is that no matter what I do I can't get ProATC to export a plan that I can load into the Airbus. Yes, I know I should be able to enter the plan manually into the MCDU but it somehow just won't work. After spending some 45 minutes on that I decided to plan the flight with PFPX and load it into the Airbus and ProATC. Loading the plan into the Airbus goes okay but things go wrong when I try to add the SID: somehow I end up in a yellow temp plan mode...? But an…

Last year I installed P3D into a 5-yr old system, where I never experienced CTDs. Last month I bought a brand new system that has made for a very enjoyable experience with very high frame rates and very smooth performance. I only fly PMDG 737 and 777 airplanes. However, I get random CTD, and I'm aware that LM addresses CTD issues as it posts new updates to the client. For what it's worth, I stopped having the CTDs by restarting my system after each P3D session. I hope this might be of help to anyone experiencing them. Happy flights! Luis
