Hey there, just installed Vector. It's a great thing, however it gives me weird light effects on all streets. Changes in the Lights.exe won't do the trick. Can anyone help me? Cheers and happy new year!

Hi All--I was thinking of getting the Just Flight Fokker F27 specifically to use with FS Passengers in P3dV3. I only fly props, and 95% of the time in the virtual cockpit. Looks like this one may suit my needs. Any opinions on the plane? Thanks much!!

Ok, this is a really stupid question, but why do I have 2 Prepar3D.cfg files? One is located at C:\Users\myprofile\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D and the other is at C:\Users\myprofile\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3. More to the point, which is the correct one to use if I wanted to tweak it? I'm guessing it's the latter.

Installed P3Dv3.5 fresh yesterday and installed all my Orbx regions and airports then installed vector 1.30 1.35 1.40 in that order and now get unhandled exception when I try to run AEC. How do I fix this?

I finally updated and now can't seem to find where the keyboard settings are now. Anyone know where they disappeared to?

Hi all, Although the switch from FSX to P3Dv3 increased again my flying time over the tweaking time a lot, I still struggle sometimes due to the fact that I am suffering from rather low performance. However, when browsing through avsim and other forums, I am always amazed about FPS number reports from here and there with users running their P3Dv3 on similar builds as mine and from time to time, I start to wonder again what am I doing wrong. But, over the years I started to think that maybe it is just a "showing off" issue, that's why I created this thread and that's why I would be happy if other people come here and comment (and maybe provide THE TRICK to have high FP…

Hello All - I have been witnessing a strange behavior on my Prepar3d 3.3.5 with the rendering of the autogen trees and their shadows. It has because even more pronounced since I started using the Prepar3D Tweak Assist (PTA) since it darkens up the shadows. I have already confirmed that it does the strange rendering using the standard shader files.(so PTA is not to blame) I am a low and slow pilot, flying generally over the Pacific Northwest with my autogen trees maxed out. I recently turned on the autogen tree shadows and really liked the additional depth and realism that it added to the sim. What I noticed now while flying around and above the treetop level, …

Everytime I depart a Flightbeam scenery, the frames are fine UNTIL I takeoff and I'm on climbout. Any suggestions or tweaks for any Flightbeam sceneries? Grant

When i see screenshots from other simpilots their cockpit and the outside of the plane always looks so smooth. Mine doesnt.. Which settings should i adjust to even be able to see what it says on the panels and stuff from a distance? When zooming out inside of the cockpit, its impossible to see the text on the buttons.

F1 Citation Mustang for P3D Hot Fix I seen there is a Hot Fix for the F1 Citation Mustang for P3D. Can someone tell me what it fixes? I had to return it 3 months ago for a refund because of crashes (and other problems) ... so, wondering exactly what got fixed before possibly considering a re-purchase.

Hey All, Well, I've finally made the switch to P3D V3, only because I upgraded my rig to be mobile. I sold my desktop and all the software and hardware I had gathered over the years and started from scratch. With that said: I installed P3D V3, with Lancair Legacy and Flight1 GTN 750. Here's some of the things I'm seeeing (the bad): 1. ATC is almost exactly the same as FSX when I bought it back in 2006, ground control still does not do a good job of controlling ground movement and I still get a plane that will run into me. Plus I have to use the fn(function) key with scroll lck(lock) to open/close it. 2. Flight planning screen...takes forever when you cli…

Good day, I have been flying P3D for a while now, but I cant get over how ugly the scenery looks int the distance. It is really clear right below me but when I look further away from my position (in every direction) the scenery is really blurry Can someone help me with this? Many thanks in advance Bart

Hello , I use the undock Funktion from FSTramp inside my P3Dv3 with an second Monitor on my Graphic Card ( GTX 970 ) When i open the undocked FSTramp Windos on the Second Monitor the P3Dv3 stutters very bad . When i close the FSTramp Windows on the second Monitor the the P3D runs smooth. Can it be an Graphiccard setting ?! Thanks for Help Michael

Good morning everyone, just a quick heads up... last week, I was experiencing some really good performance with my new 4K setup, but every few seconds I was getting some stutters or long frames. It seems like 2 things might have sorted the issue: 1) Updating the Nvidia Drivers of my 1080GTX to the latest ones from July 6th (368.69). 2) In NVI, I set for p3d PreRenderedFrames=1 I don't know if it is a combination of both things, or just one of them, but I have noticed a dramatical increase in my smoothness and performance. Running a 6700K OC @4.9, P3d on SSD, 1080GTX, 4K Monitor with GSYNC Active, No AM, HT OFF. Solid 60FPS all maxed out on PMDG737 ou…

I purchased a license to use REX with P3d for 4.99. I still cant load textures because REX is telling me I dont have a valid license key ? Where do I get the key from? I checked my email but havent received anything from REX regarding a license key. Anyone have this problem? Thanks.

I have FTX Global base and FTX Global OpenLC Europe products installed (for use in areas outside of the UK) as well as Horizon Photo Scenery for the whole of the UK. If I enable OpenLC Europe as well as the UK Photo Scenery, if flying from say UK to Spain, FSX seems to take several minutes to load being stuck "loading autogen", even though I don't have autogen enabled for the photo scenery departure area. Is this a problem with FTX Global products loading autogen even though photo scenery is enabled for the UK? Stuart

I just tried to fly into LOWI and noticed that while there are two rwy 08 RNAV approaches available online, Y and Z, the GTN 750 database only has Y while the latest Navigraph AIRAC only has Z. I wonder if anyone else is also running into problems due to the databases not being the same? I have to add that the GTN AIRAC I use is 1601 while I use 1602 for ProATC but I also tried older AIRACs with both the GTN and ProATC and the difference is always the same (Navigraph has Z, GTN has Y). I love the GTN 750 but it is apparently impossible to use it with addons that use Navigraph AIRACs...?

Can someone tell me please if in general airports are updated in P3d as compare to FSX? for example MMUN in FSX has only runaway 12, but in real life there is 12R and 12L and i would like to know if P3d is more up to date thank you

Hi, So basically I'm going to have to purchase seven copies of this program at $20.65 a pop just to run it on ONE FLIGHT DECK with seven computers?. I just purchased one to try it, but I think I'll pass, over $140.00 just to use the same clouds in one sim!... Sorry, but that's a bit GREEDY! Multiple-computer installations will require an individual ASCA license for each computer that it is installed on.

Does anyone know why it's taking RA so long to release the Piston Duke for P3D...I really really like the Piston much more over the Turbine. Any news about this one? Cheers!@

So this past week I decided that it was time to try my hand at P3D. I went on LM website and downloaded the latest V3. I installed it and started to see how well tuned I could get this. I started to add in my 3rd party scenery's and with the P3D Kingair was getting 40+ FPS on taxi and T/O. I then went to add MYTraffic6 and my FPS dropped to 35 SO I spent a wad of $$ and downloded the PMDG 737NGX and my FPS and smoothness dropped to 12 to 17 FPS. However if I let the sim sit for 2-3 minutes it will increase to 19-21 which almost makes it a smooth TO. My system specs are below. I have tried to OC my 970 GPU to no increase. I don;t think it will do any good to OC my …
