Hi chaps I'm loving the Realair Duke but on the runup checklist it mentions exercising the prop governors - could someone explain how exactly that is done in the BE60? I'm afraid I only fly fixed pitch SEP aircraft in real life and only really used to large jets and the Q400 in the sim world. Given my understanding of prop governors, I don't quite understand how they can be tested on the ground. Cheers!

Pardon me if the question as been asked before. I am considering upgrading to P3D. I have held off in hopes that Lockheed will release the 64 bit version. I don't care to purchase the product twice. Is Lockheed still planning a 64 bit version, or is this merely wishful thinking? If they are planning a release, will it be an upgrade option for the 32 bit version or standalone purchase? Hi, if you check the pics you can see that some scenery items have a black square around them. This is over Australia and I have FTX Australia Installed. Good day, Today i was really excited to do my first long haul in my newly bought PMDG 777. I did a flight from OMDB to EDDM. The first 3 hours of the flight went perfectly, but after a while all animations of the aircraft started to act weirdly. They freezed and updated every 2 seconds to then freeze again. This happens to all the aircraft animations and instruments (the engines, the yokes, throttles, autopilot instruments, all gauges, etc) I hope I have explained enough, but if you want more info i can try to explain it different All help is appreciated, Bart

Hi all. I recently purchased all three sets of FS Global Ultimate and also the P3dv3 mesh installer available from PILOTS. Using the mesh installer program I installed FS Global Ultimate Asia & Oceania first. After this process had finished and the PC had rebooted, I loaded P3dv3 as normal, and as expected, it started building the scenery base. It took about a minute or so to complete this process, so this part was as expected. The problem was that the scenery hadn't changed a bit when I loaded set my start location at Provideniya Bay, Russia. I then closed P3d and restarted it with the location set to Murmansk, Russia. Hello, I've already contacted IRIS support, but wanted to ask meanwhile any users if they have managed to install the PC 9 into P3D as I do not think IRIS is very active this year ... When I install the PC 9, the installer tells me that he doesn't find P3D v2 and aborts the installation. Does anyone have a solution? many thanks, Günter

Good Morning (Or afternoon depending on where you are in the world), Recently I made the switch from 3.2 to 3.3.5 and did a full clean install of everything (Planes, Scenery you name it) to include a full and clean install of the actual program when I made the change to Windows 10. Now, I was using a copy of the previous Prepar3d.cfg file that had tweaks such as the fiber frame time fraction: .01 and the Affinity Mask set to 14. I read somewhere, and I cant remember where, that these tweaks are no longer needed and provide no real benefit in P3D. Can anyone confirm or Deny it? Gents, after many years of leaving P3D on the back burner due to not being able to use the half refresh vsync tweak that works so well in FSX, I've finally taken the plunge with a 30hz 4K screen and I'm very happy with the results. At a steady 30fps everywhere I'm seeing incredible performance even with HD textures and heavy weather and airports. A couple of questions however as a long time FSX user, if you'd be so kind: - I habitually untick sceneries that I'm not using in FSX. This is a pain as it involves fiddling around with the vector tool when re-enabling them. In P3D, can I just leave the whole scenery list ticked? - I'm only using the in built AA and …

A few months ago, I moved from FSX to P3D, V3.2. I purchased Orbx Global, Vector, and NA KPSP, Palm Springs. When I discovered KPSP didn't work yet in P3D V3, I used it in FSX, and then bought NA Northern and Southern California. I just updated P3D to V3.3, and downloaded the new KPSP for V3, and installed the latest Orbx Libraries afterwards. The new KPSP installed fine, it is on line 2 of the Scenery Library after the Orbx Libraries. When I start P3D and choose KPSP as my airport, i am at the default (NA Southern California) KPSP airport, not the new higher quality one. I have the latest FTX Central, and KPSP shows up there also, I have no idea what is g…

Sigh, I noticed that when running Spybot Search & Destroy, it reported malware in C:\programdata\esellerate\ and it got rid of it, now when I start up p3d, it gives me a pop up window saying something about esellerate. But the game still loads fine and I'm still able to use the Sim. But what is this esellerate thing for and how can I fix this? Seem like these spyware, antivirus, malware programs are more trouble than its worth. I don't know why it's reporting some of this stuff as malware or spyware and then deletes them. I installed these programs because I trust them to know whats bad. Now I find out that if you let the program quarantine or fix the problems, …

Hi Elaine, I tried to install Tongass using a method recommended by someone at Orbx, I can post the link if you'd like. I can get it to install, it installed the files in my P3D root as a folder called FSaddons, as it should. Ok so far so good. But when I looked in my P3D terrain.cfg file there was nothing. So I looked in the FSX terrain.cfg file and I saw it had installed it there, in that file I had a bunch of FSX add-ons, )naturally as it's FSX's) but at the very bottom I had the directory location for P3D. So I ran P3D, opened the Scenery Library and manually added them in making sure Upper Tongass was higher than Lower Tongass. But try as I might…

I just upgraded to Windows 10, did a clean install and had to reinstall P3D from scratch again, it took a very long time but the outcome was worth it. I don't see blurries no more when flying, so I'm not sure what the problem was before. Anyways, that brings me to my next question. Any of you guys here use mesh products like FS Global 2010 FTX Edition, or the regular FTX Global? Not sure exactly what the difference is between the 2 but the FTX edition is a lot smaller and I guess it's optimized for those who use FTX products? I get a huge frame drop (50%+) when passing trough the cloud layer. I'm using ASN for weather and REX Soft clouds, and have noticed that if I choose overcast weather (heavy thunderstorms...) from within the simulator, the drop doesn't happen. It's only when I use ASN that it happens. Anyone have a clue as to why? I will gladly provide any additional information to resolve my issue!

Hey there, I have been running FSX since 2010 and after a period of not playing any flight sim I have decided to come back, and make the switch to Prepar3d. I currently have a system 256 GB SSD which I have my OS installed on, and a couple of other small games. I then have a 1 TB HDD which has FSX installed. I was looking to add a new Samsung 950 Pro 256GB for Prepar3d V3 (because it is insanely fast, the difference between the 950 and a traditional SSD is almost as big as the jump from an HDD to an SSD), but I was a little skeptical on whether or not 256GB would be enough, until I found out that you don't (and in most cases, shouldn't) install addons directly in…

This may be old news to some of you but it wasn't to me. If you're planning to run the Windows 10 upgrade install (and maybe you are, before the free offer expires in a couple of weeks), first do this: go to the C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Orbx folder, and delete the file called "TODO." If it's present, it's likely to cause an installation error (the prompt is "Installation failed in the First_boot phase with an error during migrate_data operation", with error code 8007004-300D). I have DiscusX and installed CumulusX as well (all with latest updates). I have ASN setup in Historical mode for 1pm in Nephi, location of this weeks US National Soaring Championships....so I know there is lots of lift. I can see the CumulusX clouds but am not getting any lift. Anyone got this working? Any ideas?

I should know this, but found out last evening apparently I don't. Somehow in trying to save a default flight last night ( with the 737 ngx which I found out is not advisable), my default flight became corrupted. This caused an instant crash of P3D on startup. I normally had my P3D start at the launch scenario screen, so I am not sure what exactly happened. Now I was faced with finding out where exactly the default flight file is stored, and secondly, what is the easiest way to fix the problem. I finally got everything working again by going to my Macrium reflex backup drive and copying some files back into P3D, but I changed a couple of things, and today, I am not quite…

without reinstalling them from scratch? I just performed a clean install of WIndows 10 and P3D. I already have FS Global Meshes and Megasceneryearth photoscenery installed previously. I never uninstalled them. Those files reside on another drive. Can I simply add those scenery folders into the library by going into P3D's menu or do I have to reinstall these all over from scratch again?

I know you can do this for OpusFSX, but is there a way to configure ASN so that it will automatically load up when you launch P3D?

I had to do a clean install of windows,but my P3Dv3 folder is on another drive, is there a way to keep the folder intact as I don't want to have to reinstall the 100 or so add-ons I have for it?

Just converted to Prepar3D v3 and I have to kick myself for not doing it sooner! Has/will cost me some $$$ but well worth it. Nonetheless, the only real problem I'm having in Prepar3D is the sound(s). The noise from other planes on the tarmac AND in the air is so loud that becomes difficult to hear the ATC. I tried to adjust the "sound" settings in the Settings menu but they control every sound other than the issue I'm having. No issues with cockpit/interior sounds and ATC volume is fine. By process of elimination I thought the environmental slider would reduce external sound affects but it doesn't affect this issue. Added Traffic 360 and starting to think t…
