One million thanks. Is it possible to give two likes at AVSIM??? One of the worst CPU/fps hitters is still AI traffic. While street traffic goes well now, absolutely nothing changed with AI traffic. I tried UT live, PSXseecontraffic, as well as the internal AI. All fps hitters, the worst is the internal one PSXseecontraffic is ligher. Kind regards, Michael

I previously had elevation problems in FSX with PAKT that were solved with the Vector cfg tool. This no longer works in P3DV3. In fact, PAKT is not even shown in the enable/disable airport listings. Also, in the PAKT cfg airport options, parking spaces are checked as not available by default. If this option is unchecked, people and aircraft are floating all over the place. Is there a fix available for this glitch or do I have to schedule all my flights directly from the runways? Thank you, Dennis

Just bough this and the scenery seems great! I also bought a few others during the May sale. My only issue is when I select a GA ramp parking many times I end up in a building or trees! the parking spots don't seem to correlate properly. This has also happened at some other ORBX airports but not with other suppliers like LatinVFR or Sim720. Is there a configuration mod or fix for this? Especially bad is KPSP. Thanks

I recently purchased FTX Global Vector on sale. I have the vehicle traffic box checked in the setup control panel, but I am not seeing any vehicles on the roads. Is it tied to the road vehicles slider in FSX? I have that set to zero, but I was (perhaps wrongly) assuming that the FTX road traffic was independent from the FSX road traffic.

For all those hysterics (like me), who can not stand that artificial air traffic does not have the optimal separation and is doing go-arounds continuously, I have the news that the old and fabulous "aiseparation" continues to work on Prepar3dv4 and with the new Fsuipc5. On the other hand ... does anyone know what will happen with FSTramp? For me, two indispensable tools. Thank you!

I took this screenshot of KSJC at dawn - anyone else seeing these buggy airport beacons? Seems to be happening at airports using default assets, but maybe at only certain times of day.

Hello, In my opinion it will be a good idea to create and update on regular basis the excel file (based on google docs) with addons which will be updated to P3D v4. In the future, we could also make "transfer" the list into the pinned topic and update regularly once a week for example. Hi everyone, Just a quick update as to how things are going in P3Dv4. Orbx, AS16, my FSDT, Flightbeam and Flytampa airports are all installed. I also installed UTlive and am having no significant performance hits as posted by others. I'm still in the process of tweaking frames and performance, but I have to say this is one fantastic platform. The addons are spectacular compared to the visuals in v3, and I'm noticing that there must be some vector data in the default scenery, because I see railroad tracks, proper highways and parks. I have enjoyed a pretty stable flight-sim experience for quite some time, starting with FSX Gold and moving to Prepar3D V1. And despite being an Orbx fan-boi and owning practically everything, my system was responsive and generally smooth. So, naturally, I thought I would change it and upgrade from my GTX 780 to a GTX 1080. Did the usual, such as wiping the shader files, letting P3D create a new cfg file, etc. Well, things were looking good for exactly two days and then Windows Creator update happened. Has anyone noticed that with vsync on the FPS are quite jumpy compared to V3? Before it would stay within a frame or two and be smooth, but in V4 it can jump around as much as 5 FPS in either direction and causes stutters when it does that. But, when I lock it at 25 FPS (my monitor refresh rate), if it can hold 25 FPS it is pinned at exactly 25 the entire time. In big cities with addon airports it does tend to drop but I'm still playing with my settings to try to have it pegged at 25 even in the most demanding situations. I'm still trying to get it perfectly smooth but since most of my addons aren't compatible yet I've got plenty of time to tinker with it.

I am currently running P3D v4 on a 4K TV and everything is running decently... I have a i7-3770k 4.5GHZ (OC) with 32GB RAM and an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, and Windows 10 Professional. I just received a 2nd 32" 1080P TV as a gift and I don't have any use for it and plan on using it as a 2nd display for other uses such as having my flight planners, surfing web, watching video, etc while I use my main screen primarily for P3D. Would adding a 2nd display like this cause performance issues and slow down P3D drastically?

Does anyone know if Editvoicepack will update soon? Hopefully so, that way we can get our airline call signs on ATC.

Hi, For reasons i dont know i am unable to use P3Dv3 (at least with the FSLA320-X) . I have tried a couple of drivers and also looked in the forums at P3D, but still stuck, Was there a work around ? Thanks , apreciated Michael Moe

In a previous thread I was discussing Heathrow. I have been making a lot of changes to the setting to get the FPS better. The last time I did this the buildings all stayed black, so I thought I would shut the sim down. Bad move, it will not fire up at all now, fails after 10 seconds. So be careful out there guys. I will try and install client again and see if that helps.

Just looking at some things I've seen posted. And it appears the sim is using a page file for extra RAM quite often. Anyone here have 32 gb RAM and willing to drop it to 16 for a speed test? Im wondering if FPS take a hit. And maybe 32gb RAM is needed for v4. Anyone with relevant info thanks ahead of time! -Tony@PVD

Using no Add-ons, a whole day of flying, and I'm up to approx. 72,500,000K VAS usage! I remember when 4,000,000K was our limit! This is GREAT!!!

I tried to use the same Scenery.cfg file for P3dv3 and P3dv4, while v3 (and FSX ) have no problems with my 1400 files( mostly photorealistic tiles, Europe and USA) the new version 4 gives up at around 1100 scenery files and returns with an error or simply stops further loading. If I load only the first 1100 files v4 works o.k.

Hi, so after the new installer came out I've been downloading Global, Open LC etc, but the installer or downloader automatically saves and extracts to my C disk (Windows disk). I have limited space here and when downloading ORBX products, the space fills up, and the process fails. Any way to change this to another directory?

Here are a few more Pics after I installed the ASA cessna 127 First one shows how I have changed a few settings today but I am still getting SUPER performance And now up in the mountains with ORBX PNW: No stutters at all just very smooth even when FPS popped down to 18 at times. Kind regards Richard
