Does someone know if there's a way to change the default camera view for avatar mode from 3rd person to 1st person (no model)?

Hi Folks, since I am now living in China I like to fly in this region. With the fast pace China is building new airports in the past 10 years a lot of them were missing in V3. Did this change? If not, is there another way how to add them? don't need fancy scenery, just a runway with ILS. Cheers, g

I installed v4 the other day on windows 10 64 but. After installed started up the sim everything is fine. Then installed fsuipc5 and started sim up and CTD. Did a repair on the installation to p3d and was back working. Then tried to install Orbx global and same thing happened. Event viewer saying it's g2d.dll. I have tried reinstalling graphics driver and even rolled back to a previous version with no luck. Tried deleting cfg no luck there. So I wiped everything out new install of OS and re downloaded p3d thought it might fix it but same problem this time no addons installed can't even load a flight. Same error too. Any help appreciated.

Here are a few pics of a short trip from KSEA and back over the Olympic mountains in the PMDG QOTSII, using Active Sky 16 with Cloud Art and ORBX PNW with FTX Global Base, FTX Global openLC NA and FTX Global Trees HD. Also in the 2nd pics you can see I have the Global_AI_Ship_Traffic installed. Unfortunately, upon touchdown, a couple of tyres burst and that was that. Thank heavens for simulators!!! All sliders in World/Settings were to the right except water which was 50%, Anisotropic 4x Texture resolution 2048x2048, Display @ 2560x1440x32, VSyns off, Road traffic 50% and boats 100%. Can Ultimate Traffic 2 be installed into V4, just like it was for V3 via the EMT? Maybe @Poppet knows?

I am in the midst of setting up my yoke and throttle quadrant in P3D v4, and I am trying to do it without the need to purchase FSUIPC 5. There's a decent chance I'll cave. FSUIPC 4 has a default Delta value of 256 in the Axis Assignment tab, which I believe reduced my CH throttle quadrant levers from any noticeable jitter. P3D v4, on the other hand, is picking up the slightest bit joystick jitter as if the Delta was significantly lower. The in-sim effect is causing my cockpit levers to jitter quite noticeably. Changing the axis sensitivity in P3D doesn't seem to affect this Delta. So, my question is how do I adjust the Delta that Prepar3D reads in without ne…

Is there a feature in Chaseplane that allows me to fly in the VC but when I bank the plane left or right the camera doesn't bank (remains steady)? Cheers!

Hi, I used the Ezdok 1.18, but when I saw Chaseplane I knew eventually I was going to buy it. And today I did. My biggest fear: Perfomance, since I don't have the best PC. It does feel that it consumes more FPS than the old Ezdok (not a huge difference though). Is it from my head? (since it was my biggest fear ahah) Or is it something I can do to boost FPS with Chaseplane?

I downloaded the aircraft recently and updated it with the FSX native mod. Works fine so far in P3d Version 3, however about 30 mins at cruise altitude, I get a crash saying "DXGI_Error_Device_Hung." It's the only aircraft that has given me issues. Any ideas?

Hello, I have aproblem since this morning : All my FSDT are no more activated, but I have addon manager in the menus of P3D V4. No GSX, no airport (I tried LSGG and KSFO HD) I have excluded my hole LM directory (FSDT is in LM/Addon manger directory). I restarted my computer, desinstalled and reisntalled GSX with addon manager. Yesterday I could fly without problem... Any solution? Thank's Yves

I went to Simmarket to purchase the upgrade for Justsim LOWI and when trying to pay by PayPal I noticed that they are now charging and additional 1.5% surcharge for using this service. In all the years I have been using PayPal I've never been surcharged by anyone for using this service and my personal opinion is that this is a surcharge that shouldn't be passed to the customer. Just wanted to let you all know. Personally I will no longer purchase any products from them that continue to have this surcharge and if this means going without the product because they have a monopoly over it, then so be it. Hello, i just got P3D and the PMDG 747. i've also installed my scenery. Anyways, i was descending into LHR From JFK and my game froze and crashed. After a bit of rage i loaded back and saw this (see photo: https://prnt.sc/fgntm2) No planes and airports load in. I started the scenario and i got this (https://prnt.sc/fgnt11) it stayed at 0% until it crashed. I dont know how to fix it, any help will be appreciated

Hey all, With the release of P3Dv4, I'm considering up[grading my system a little. However, that system is a laptop - one that is already 3 years old. The laptop is a Apple MacBook Pro from Mid-2014. Of course: the best thing to do would be to buy a new desktop with high specs. The problem is that I'm only a graduate student, and so (1) I have no money for such a specced-out desktop (it looks like I'd be shelling out at least 2000$), (2) transporting the machine would be cumbersome once I hit graduation in another 3 years or so, (3) I'm not even sure I have space to put it anywhere, and (4) I have no money. I use Simstarter NG to control the scenery in P3Dv3.4 I have several "Add On" sceneries that I want to get out of the Simstarter NG Scenery.cfg system, but when I 'Delete' their row, it doesn't disappear. Anyone know how to make Simstarter NG let go?? Thanks TTM

I have a license for FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK - Version 1.40 September 2015, Norway FTX EU NOR Norway V1.10 Patch 001 April 2015 as well as FTX AA ORBX Libraries Version 160906 6th September 2016. When I try to install for P3D I get an error Message saying: Radio Buttons > On Next, Line 13: Argument 2 must be of type string. Stack Traceback: 1: [Radio Buttons > On Next] Line: 13 in main chunk. Installation for FSX went all OK men now I want to install the same products for my new Prepar3D ver. 4 Academic. Can I use the same license on both simulators? Regards from Norway, mr. Inge Jenstad

I'm one to shoot for best parts for new builds, but since my 4.2y/o box is really up to the task for the time being (likely won't go V4 until all my add ons will work) except the video card I'm looking at these two options. I'm not seeing a compelling reason to go w/ Titan Xp, but I really don't know. 1080Ti is massively stronger than my GTX Titan, so I plan to sell it and go w/ 1080Ti or God forbid, Titan Xp. As I say, the cost difference is really substantial, yet published specs seem almost insignificant. Please correct me if that's not the case.

Hi all, I just added my My Traffic 6 installation to v4 through Elaine's method, as my v3 installation was still installed in a separate folder. Did everything as instructed but the ai models are all messed up. Please help.

In X-Plane it was simple as looking at the log file to see what the cause of the crash was to pinpoint the problem. How can I do the same in P3D? There's an addon scenery thats crashing my sim, and I want to know exactly what the cause of the crash was. If it could tell me the file that's causing it to crash upon loading that scenery, that would help greatly. As I can just disable or delete that file entirely and let the scenery load up without problem.

SGSS kills my fps, so I am using 8x MSAA. But the cockpit gauges look a little blocky. How do I sharpen this up? Thanks!
