Since installing P3D V4 and new FSDT and Flightbeam airports I can no longer hear GSX autos and voice. I posted on FSDT forum and it appears it is a openAL issue. I have researched it but found nothing as it relates to LM or P3D. I am using a Logitech headset. Has anyone else experienced this and have some advice?

The airport lighting at the default airports look much better than most third party ones I've seen. No more floating lights above the runway and the size of the lights are smaller and much more realistic than the ones i see at like FSDT and FB airports. I am asking if third party airport developers can please use the default lighting in P3Dv4 instead. Being consistent here would make the experience so much better. Especially when flying from airport to airport. I've never really like the runway lighting that third party airport developers used. If you look at them closely and compare to the default lighting then you should notice how unrealistic and ugly they look. P3Dv4 …

Hi All... Your input please Building system for P3D with 2 x Samsung Ego 960 250 GB M.2 NVME SSD Should I got RAID 0 or Keep Win 10 Pro 64 bit on one Drive and P3D on the other ? Which is better in terms of performance ? Thanks

Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement for WideView/WideTraffic that will work with Prepar3d V4 64bit? I currently run a 3 screen/3 PC setup with WideView and would like to move to Prepar3d V4, but I don't think WideView will get updated to 64bit. Thanks David

Good news for us that have these airports. Ralph Eisenegger, the author had already made new installers for V4. Apparently there were a few adjustments required to make all the features work properly. And better yet, the updates are mostly free for those that you own. I have the entire suite of all airports except he has two new ones I did not own, so buying the two new ones for Thunder Bay and Fredericton gave me the full package of all airports updated for V4 for free as I previously owned all the rest.

I am aware of the other thread about this, but since the people in there were specifically talking about KLAX. I will address my concerns here instead. Plus my other thread got locked due to the confusion. I have taken a screenshot to demonstrate the problem that I am seeing on the runway at night when dynamic lights are on and shining at them. It gets worse when the plane is in motion and makes me dizzy just looking at the runway. This is what I see:

I'm a total n00b to this add-on and I don't seem to be able to manually overwrite the cruising altitude during planning as it seems like it is automatically calculated, it's driving me crazy. Granted I can change it in the P3D Flight Planner before the flight, but still.

I would like to stream my flights to YouTube, but I'm inexperienced in doing this and need some help. I am using the latest OBS software. I am running the sim in fullscreen at 4K and I would like to stream it to youtube at 1080p60. I can't seem to get the right settings for this to work, and I am not sure of what bit setting to use for video/audio. All I know is my internet upstream is about 11.3Mbps. Will streaming the sim have a noticeable impact of performance? I am running with very heavy add-ons.

Hey guys I have a 4k monitor and a 1080p monitor. What I would like to do is have P3DV4 running on the 4K and use the 1080p for just viewing the CDU, overhead panel, or whatever I need. Is this even possible using different resolution monitors? I'm using P3D V4, Windows 10, and a GTX980. Thanks for your help!

I posted a couple of months ago about this problem in P3Dv3. This scenery hesitates at least twice upon arrival and departcher for approximately 10 seconds. Upon installing P3Dv4 it stopped doing that. However it began doing so again. I have flown PMDG 747 and TFDI 717 and lowered all settings to minimal and it still stops. I unistalled and reinstalled the airport for P3Dv4 and it persists. I am at a loss as to what caused it to begin stalling again. Has anyone else experienced this and have a possible solution? Thanks.

Does anybody know how to get the latest v4 downloads from drzewiecki-design if purchased from simplanet?

I asked this over in the L-M Support Forum, but no one is answering. I assume no one can explain? This is delaying my updates to MakeRunways to handle the new complex add-on structures. =========================================== I've been trying to get my head around the new (complex to me) system for add-on sceneries. Does any one have an idiot's guide I can use please? What I haven't yet grasped is where I start (Add-Ons.cfg in the PROGRAMDATA folder?), and the priority (layering) of each Scenery add-on package. I assume they all follow on from an existing SCENERY.CFG file, but then the SDK lists the order as LOCALAPPDATA then APPDATA then PROGRAMDATA…

Im loving P3D, but am getting so many crashes, and almost all have been kernalbase.dll failures. Anyone know how to fix this. This has ruined 2 long hauls I was a few hours into...

Hello I've just upgraded to p3d v4. So far so good. I used to follow the procedure in this video that shows the vas. Is there a way to do the same thing in V4 as when using the same procedure it shows remaining vas as 0. Many thanks

I've installed a registered copy of FSUIPC5 for P3Dv4 and using the same offset to display VAS an in v3. According to the manual the same offset should work. However it is just displaying 0. Does anyone have this working and if so can you please post the full offset details and how you got it working. p.s. Please don't tell me I don't need to worry about VAS. I'm just curious to see what the figure is :-)

Just jumping up to P3D I do not know if Aerosoft simwings PANC is compatible in P3D at all, but especially in v4? If not I am going to hold off buying the PMDG 747 or 777 as my freighter routes take me through that airport often.

Can anyone comment on how well the V4 Professional Pro built-in multi-channel is working? Is it improved over V3 (which my understanding is did not work as well as WideView)? Thanks, Fred K

My P3D V3 install (after working perfectly for months) developed a severe memory leak whereby the VAS gradually increased to OOM when just sitting at the gate especially severe with A2A 182 and Comanche. This occurred (maybe just a coincident) after reverting config file back to original after experimenting with the PTA tool and on starting the sim ChasePlane updated but instead of displaying VAS it displayed a smiley face. Explored all the recommended fixes without success including a lengthy reinstall. Without solving the problem with V3 I installed P3D V4 (thinking it would be worth the time building the sim again all be it waiting for developers to rel…

Hi all. its my birthday soon and as usual, I look to upgrade my rig at this time of year with the extra cash floating around in my slush fund. At the mo I have a i5 4690k paired with an MSI GTX 970 and 20gb RAM, and I am currently getting good results with V4 stock aircraft, and no extras other than photo scenery that I pretty much use all the time, that is apart from when I go off on one and buy loads of ORBX stuff when something catches my eye. Am I going to see any noticeable improvement by installing a GTX1070 into my rig? regards

Hey all. Again, again, again, i am having some problems after installing a scenery where i am getting this weird error saying i need administrator log on to complete the scenery installing. It seems p3d v4 is nicely optimized to take advantage of multiple cpu cores. I'm running an i5-6600k at 4.7ghz and p3d will max out all four cores. Are those of you with 6 or 8 core cpus seeing a similar result ? How many cores is p3d coded to fully utilize at this point?

I've noticed this especially on FSDT's airports, KIAH and a few others that I can't remember. But when you have dynamic lights on and then turn on your runway lights on PMDG 747/777, the runway texture is extremely grainy and fuzzy looking and it looks absolutely terrible. What's the cause of this and will there be an update to fix this problem? I don't recall seeing this at other airports but I will have to make sure and do some more testing to see if this also happens with other scenery as well.
