Hi, Hi, i recently reinstalled P3D (version 3), and when i load into the sim, with the aerosoft a320 for example (it happens with all aircraft), the nd and pfd displays are way too bright: If anyone knows how to fix this then I'd be grateful P.S: My HDR & PTA settings are exactly the same as before i reinstalled P3D. I use Aerosoft A320, ORBX, PTA, Aerosoft

Just looked into my account and it has a P3Dv4 installer just in case someone are interested.

I have a beta version of the sound gauge compiled. I am looking for a couple of people who are familiar with editing panels and with how the sound gauge and its config file work, and who also have one of the A2A products that use it. If you meet those criteria, and are interested in testing the gauge, PM me with an e-mail address and I will forward you a copy of the gauge. I don't have any of the A2A stuff, so its kind of hard for me to test against it. Doug

Well, these are completely unrealistically lit up, especially in the rural areas. Since I never owned Vector I wanted to ask if these are corrected (extinguished) with this add-on? I can't imagine flying over mid Pennsylvania and seeing I-80 lit up like a Christmas tree.

Have some problem with Carenado's PC12 and Dornier DO2288 but I manged to get them properly installed. My setup on the second drive is similar to the P3D v4 folder structure with SimoObjects, Sound, Scenery, Gauges, Fonts, Effects. Have my add-on.xml in Documents folder and the add-ons.cfg in the AppData\Roaming... folder. The problem I have encounter is with Carenado's aircrafts they will not install on the second …

I am flying Antsairplane Eaglet using the built in GPS 296 to KBWI runway 15L. I downloaded the approach plate (from Airnav) that has waypoints KRENE, MNKEY, ZOWEE, ADCOCK for an ILS approach. However, when I load and activate the same approach in the Garmin (in sim about 30 miles from the airport) I only get ZOWEE as a waypoint (in the sim) prior to the runway. I tried other runways as well and still only get 1 waypoint prior to the runway in the sim. Is this a limitation of p3d V4 possibly using an older database? Are there any 3rd party planes with somewhat up to date or more robust approach charts built in? Or am I just not correctly loading / understanding …

Hi, I'm planning on building a new pc for P3D v4. I was looking at the 1080Ti with 11Go VRAM but remembered a post from @Rob Ainscough mentioning that some tweaking might be necessary to use more than 8Go VRAM in v4. Anyone knows what that tweak is ? Thanks

When adding aircraft addons using the Lorbi-SI Organiser, should an addition be automatically made to the 'simobjects.cfg' file?

Hi guys, Loading pmdg 747 QOTS v2 in prepar3d v3 at a specific time and date... all is well, then all of a sudden maybe 5 mins in while in preflight, prepar3d reloads on its own, according to my system time. Why is this happening? Only with the pmdg 747?

In the photos below, does anyone know if this is a P3D issue, Orbx issue, or something else? Google is not my friend so far... You have to pick one on a limited budget, what airplane do you choose the King Air or Learjet?

I just wanted to post a picture of my Co-Pilot... She has about three years experience in a wide variety of aircraft, and is very skilled in what she does... ;-) Tends to fall asleep on the job, though... but she's too cute to fire!! Russ

I try to record with Shadowplay (Allow desktop capture and ingame+mic). As my comments are barely heard over the engine drone, I tried to lower this particular sound. That didnt do anything, the engine level is still the same. The slider just had no effect on the level of sound. What am I missing ? Thanks

I am having a new problem on a previously trouble free build of P3D v3.4. I've been moving quickly to v4 which effective basically now will be my GA and airliner platform (still waiting for the NGX and remaining Orbx sceneries). However, v3.4 is planned to remain on my system until the VRS Bug and TacPack are available (I enjoy carrier flying). Unfortunately now, when I try to load v3.4, I get a fatal error message once the main menu screen loads. It happens immediately, I'm not able to click or make any selections. I can't figure it out right now, but below are some of my thoughts and attempts to solve. 1. I believe this is the first time I tried runnin…

During startup of P3D v4, I get "there are multiple objects with the same title name. The must have unique title names". Where and what file is that in? I was trying AIFP as it can check for duplicates, but either I have too many and it locks up or I am doing something wrong in it and it does not say there are duplicates. One time it said there were duplicates and seemed to remove them, but when I to save it, that option was grayed out.

I installed the Carenado PC-12 today and it seemed to work OK with the new installers. When I closed the program, I noted that almost 800 content errors were generated! I can't fix them all - should I just ignore them?

Hi all- Just got FSUIPC version 5 and was going to try the limiter. Is there an app that shows where and how many AI there are in proximity to the aircraft? I want to do a before and after test. Thanks, Mark

Anyone knows why we have such ugly trees in V4? Even after instaling ORBX trees, its still the same! (borrowed pic from someone on facebook)

Hey, Really want to try out DSR with P3D (v4) but I just can't seem to get it working properly. I enabled it, 2.25x which makes my 1440p a 4k resolution, it's selectable in the resolution drop down menu but when I use it, the sim just goes slightly blurry and that's it. Tried enabling the "Black-out desktop" box, I've hit Alt + Enter many times, even tried selecting the resolution on the desktop but it never seems to work. Always just the same size text with a slightly blurrier image. Has anyone dealt with the same problem, maybe it's some obscure setting that stops it from working? Perhaps it's just not meant to be.

Switched over to V4 this week and most everything has gone smoothly. Then I tried to install my FSDT packages. Loaded the Stand alone Addon Manager and then all of the airports. When I went to the addon manager I got a message that that the airports were active, but not installed in the Scenery Directory. I've fought this thing all afternoon and into the night. If someone could give me some advice I would appreciate it. I went over to FSDT's forum , but didn't find much. Thanks, Bill W

Anybody notice when the updated the queen for p3d v4 with the micro update yesterday that the upper lower beacon lights no longer work? At night you can see the splash on the ground but the lights them self are no longer flashing red like they hey should. I know this micro update was suppose to make performance better with dynamic lighting but it seems the beacons were waxed in the process. Anyone know how to fix this without waiting for another update.

Seems like a nightmare since its not compatibel with ORBX and since V4 we now have different entrys outside scenery.cfg. Anyone have suggestions or should we just think none VAS issue with V4? In the meentime we have to load all of them with V3 i guess Thanks Michael Moe
