All of a sudden my version, v4, is blinking. Momentary black screens blinking on and off...what?

I have P3D4.4 set up with ASP4/ASCA ENVTEX/EVNSHADE and REX Skyforce3D, configured according to all the tutorials I can find for SF3D to do the clouds, and ASP4 to do the sky colours. When I use SF3D to select cloud textures, at the bottom right of the app it notifies me that 1509 textures are ready for installation. But when I press the install textures button, it immediately says DONE. Is this correct? How can it possible install 1509 textures in just about zero time? If this is not right, do you have any ideas what is wrong? Cheers

Hey guys. I am curious about something. What aircraft, freeware or payware, do we currently have in P3D V4 that can fly like super high? Like at least 50k and above. Let me know!

Dear All Having played about 3,000 hours with FSX, I have now reached a point where I need some change in terms of simulators. I would like to convert to P3Dv4. I'd like to use ENVTEX skies dynamically through ASCA. So I installed ASCA and disabled everything but the skies. After that I installed the Full Dynamic there. Then I installed ENVTEX and disabled everything but the skies. I manually set the path to ASCA and set ASCA Integration to ENVTEX textures only. And here is where the manual stops giving me the needed information... I do see the Install to sim button but the manual doesn't say if I have to select a specific sky or not... Right now the Sky shows Random but in the drop down menu I see 11 skies. (Is that all btw...?!) Do I have to select a certain sky or do I just have to click the Install to sim button? Will th…

Hi, I run a multi screen (3 Monitor) setup. When I start P3D 4.4, I always have to expended the initial screen so it covers my 3 screen area. Is there a way to have P3D to open and fill all 3 screens automatically. Thanks Pierre

I have a 144hz monitor and I was thinking of using 60hz and 1/2 refresh rate with sim locked at 30 FPS? Does this work? Or should I just lock my sim at 30 FPS?

I'm just doing the install of EVNTEX 1.2 over my P3D+ASP4+ASCA installation, and during the installation the ENVTEX install routine has proceeded into offering to install ENVDIR. Do I need this with ASP4 as the weather engine? Should I let it install that component, or cancel it? Don't want to screw up ASP4/ASCA. Cheers.

So once upon a time, I was using REX skyforce, AS, ASCA, and Envtex together and it all seemed fine. The past couple of days I have been tinkering around with envtex and ASCA and now ASCA doesn't see my Envtex textures. There are about 64 Envtex textures that ASCA uses at random but I only have 4 now. This results in problems with ASCA because it's looking for textures that are not there. I tried all sorts of combinations in settings and it didn't work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Envtex. I also followed a very good tutorial and still no luck. Now I am at the end of my rope and it's giving me real fits. I really should have left things alone but I am always chasing…

Should I install both - will they work together well? Or should I uninstall ASCA before installing SF3D? (I'm using ASP4 as the weather engine, and intend running EnvTex with PTA.) What is the experience here and what do you recommend?

Hey guys... Another question I have for the experts... I have been doing some reading in the forums, and many of the answers I've seen date back to 2017/18, so hoping for some fresh info on this one. I currently have 3 24" monitors, 1080 resolution. I upgraded to a 1080Ti card, and would like to get a bigger monitor for Prepar3d and run 4k. I also work from home a lot, and really enjoy having three externals, so I plan to keep two of the 24s to the side of the main 4k monitor to use when not running Prepar3d. After doing some looking, it seems that many are going with 43+ 4k TVs.....I was tempted to go that route, but I just don't have the space for that big…

Hi, is there a working IBERIA Livery for the Aerosoft A319 Professional ?? Cant find anything. The EC-KKS livery i found at the aerosoft livery forum cause the simulator to crash, even with a modified cfg (shorter text). The avsim library only shows me a old livery, wich doesnt work any more with the professional version.... any ideas?

I have tons of ORBX scenery and yes I love it and it looks great. I'm looking for that little gem of scenery that isn't ORBX and gets great frames and is somewhat unique and different. I don't fly the tubeliners, so I haven't gotten into much of getting scenery in other areas outside of USA. I fly light singles, twin turbos etc I'm thinking maybe Greece or Italy or others? Maybe it's time for me to branch out. I am open to pretty much anything when it comes right down to it.

I'm getting what looks like horizon lines across some aircraft. I have tried deleting the Shaders folder and Prepar3D.CFG so that the sim will regenerate new ones and this didn't work. I even went throught the trouble of reinstalling the ENTIRE sim, then after reinstalling it and all my addons, i tried doing a long haul and my sim crashed while in cruise, and after that, the lines came back. This is very annoying because i can't get screenshots taken without this stupid line across my planes. Also, my F-16 is invisible, which leads me to think that it has something to do with PBR. Hi All, Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but whenever I use an A.I traffic program, (and I have tried them all, "UTL,TG, AIG, PSXT"), my FPS start off great, 45+ at most airports (all Payware), with a good amount of A.I moving around, but over time, the FPS will slowly drop to as low as 3 fps at KLAX, or other heavy airports, and that is just parked at a gate in the NGX. Watching live traffic with PSXseecon traffic slowly becomes a slide show over time and none of the settings are on high, or in any other A.I program. I only enable one program at a time, but with more or less with the same results. I can start the sim (P3Dv4.4) without any A.I and the FPS will st…

Good day all. I am trying to figure out if P3D update was done properly. In W10 control panel I shows v4.2.21.1.. however in P3D it is says v4.4. Just curious why is the discrepancy?

Hey, I tried to install LTAI (v1.2) from JustSim. The install process seems ok, no failure message. But when I start P3dv4.3 and go to the airport, there were no terminal (both terminals are missing). But I can see the passenger bridges. I tried to install and reinstall, with and without AV, nothing helps. The library from JustSim is installed. Has anybody some suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks in advance Steven

Him Folks, I have six UK2000 sceneries in my P3Dv4. When I go to the Scenery Library in P3D the six sceneries are greyed out though they do have a tick in the box next to each of them. If they are greyed out does this mean they are not functioning properly? Also supposing I want to remove the six from the scenery library, I can't because I can not select them as they are greyed out. Any help appreciated. John

Hi guys, Got myself the Logitech Saitek X52 Pro Stick and Throttle combo. Nice! Installed without any issues in Windows 7 and 10 using the latest drivers. Everthing is working fine bar one notable exception: The hat switch on the stick won’t pan in the virtual cockpit whereas it operates normally outside the vehicle. Have any owners of this device come across this issue and found a solution? The hat switch is assigned to only the one function in Prepar3D v4.4 and that is View (Pan). Resetting defaults has had no effect. Thanks. Mike

Hi Guys, Just need to be pointed in right direction with this one sorry if its in the wrong place! Installed Tomato Shade Added all profiles to all my aircraft everything is working fine. Then comes PMDG 744. sd All very strange. Tomato Shade is uptodate V26. Dynamic reflections are turned onto medium. Im lost for ideas guys. If anyone knows anything Let me know! I try to remove the folders, but the next time i load up Prepar3dv4, they re-appear, i try to re-install scenery, it doesnt load, nothing works!

I cannot seem to get Proatc to give me descent instructions or one that make any sense after starting manually. Today I was going DEN-SFO at FL400. A 100 miles out, no instructions so I asked. Then kept asking to go lower. This finally got me to 7000 ft but no landing instructions on my flightplan from Simbrief. No localizer heading no runway assignment nothing at all. It just kept telling me to go back to 7000 ft even with the field in sight. This is trying to get one good flight in over the past two weeks or so. I am a long time Radar Contact user but wanted to try something new. So far my experience has been poor. Earlier in the day it would not even give …
