Good morning, Does anyone know if there is any decent scenery for RAF Akrotiri for P3D v4 or even earlier versions. I’m really confused, as I think MAIW has one but it’s sort of all over the place so if anyone could provide me with links for an accurate rendition of RAF Akrotiri, I would be forever grateful 😁 Thank You

Has anybody managed to install the Ilyushin Il-76MD (either the Monumentum or the one available at avsim.su) in Prepar3D v3 with a fully working VC and 2d panels? I am finding that clickspots do not work on the 2D panels and also the VC with this aircraft in Prepar3D v3.4. A Russian gentleman has a very good tutorial in English on YouTube which explains navigation with the Il-76. His video demonstrates a workable Il-76MD in Prepar3D v3, but when asked by myself on the web page concerned, he does not recollect how he installed the aircraft but may well respond later if there are any tricks required to get the aircraft working.

Hello! I'm in need of a new yoke has my current Saitek X52 is getting old. Also, I need something smaller, all in one if possible (throttle) as I don't have much room. I mostly fly airlines (PMDG, Aerosoft Bus). Would love to get your thoughts. Thanks!

Hey guys, When flying at night, I get these ugly day time square textures popping up. I've searched and haven't found any real answers. Has anyone had this before and found a solution? I'm running v4.4 and GEP3D and UTX, but I've seen people have this problem with Orbx stuff too and it also happens over my photoreal sceneries so I don't think it's specific to these addons. And I'm not running any shader mods. Thanks!

Using P3dv4.4. I use the default ATC in P3d and there is one thing I am wondering about. When in close proximity to another aircraft, ATC will warn both aircraft and say something similar to "Delta ***, traffic alert! Less than 1 mile FL370, Boeing ..." And in that statement, ATC will say the aircraft type that you are looking for (Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Airbus a320, Cessna Skylane, etc) My problem: I have noticed that when I fly some addon aircraft (PMDG 737, 777 specifically), ATC doesn't say the type when talking to the other aircraft. For example, if I am flying the PMDG Boeing 777 and ATC gives a traffic alert to an aircraft I am meeting, they will say so…

Hey guys/gals, I made the switch to Prepar3d a couple months ago, and with 4.5 out, I thought now would be as good of a time as any to upgrade my drive. I got a deal on a 512 M2 PCIe drive and wondering if it would benefit me to go ahead and install P3d to that drive. If so...would you guys recommend running it on the same drive as the OS, or install just P3d on the M2 and keep the OS on my SSD? Thanks! There appears to be a clone site of Prepar3d.com called prepar3dsimulation.com which appears to be set up to steal passwords and credit card numbers. I noticed it when doing a Google search and it showed up in the results. I made a post on the Prepar3d.com forum and Brady Butler replied that it was not legit. Haven't seen any mention of it anywhere so thought I should post it here. Randy

Hi all, After a few understandable weeks of delay, Just Flight have now released their VC10 Professional. This is a revamped version of the previous VC10 Jetliner Product, expanded to include the Super and RAF Models with expanded systems depth along with other new features such as an INS. Although I did not personally own the old version, if you do you should be able to get a discount on the new model. JustSim have had a version of Barcelona available for P3D v4 available for some time for the price of €23.40. They have now announced an updated version that includes PBR and some other additions. The price of this version is still €23.40 suggesting the extra work has not caused the price to increase. However, if you bought their earlier version you will be charged €6.60 for the upgrade. I could understand this charge if the price of v2 was also increased but it hasn't. It remains the same price. What they're doing is penalising those customers who bought the earlier product as they now have to pay more for the same product. New customers are not penalised …

Hi guys, Looking for something to do with my a2a c172. I know there's a mission generator for xplane11 but I really would like to try one in p3dv4. Is there such a thing? FS economy sounds cool but can it generate random missions or is it all just online flying? Any help would be appreciated! Jozeff

Yeah the title says most of it but what happens I start the installer accept the EULA and then it disappears and Prepar3D V3 wont find it nor will FSUIPC. But yeah thanks if you can help! 😁

Hello, I use V4.4 and have problems with the Moon. Moon Phase is active. In Dusk and Dawn I can see the Moon (or parts of it - of course) But when it's night - nothing. No Moon - only Stars. And of course, I looked to a mooncalender! should be at 4,5% - it's ok in the sim, but only at dusk and dawn. The moon should be the same, in Dusk, Dawn and Night? Any idea? I use Tomatoshade, ENVTEX, Active Sky and Rex Skyforce. Thanks Urmel Top

Hi I´m trying to install the Narsarsuaq X in P3D version 3.4, it seems to work, but the apron is not at the same altitude as the runway? Anyone have a suggestion for at fix? THX

For anybody who is using the Cielosim KJAX scenery in P3D v4.x, I created a custom GSX Level 2 configuration that replaces the bland default CTRL+J jetways with GSX SODE jetways. The jetways have gate numbers, airline logo's on the jetway tunnel, and ground markings with grease and oil stains. The jetways at the real KJAX don't have logo's or ground markings, but I think these kind of spice things up at the airport, and the SODE jetways themselves are a big improvement over the default ctrl+j ones. It was very difficult to reach high altitude with this aircraft. I performed a vertical T/O from LEBB and then it was just to hang on.

Hi there, I cannot get P3dv4 to recognise my Yolk or Throttle in the controls section. I have downloaded all the latest Saitek drivers and Plug-ins, however when I install the drivers ONLY the Rudder pedal driver completes its installation and shows up in P3Dv4 controls window. BOTH the YOLK and the THROTTLE drivers will not complete their installation process. I am not able to set-up an account on Saitek/Logitech support forums to ask for support (blank page and nothing loads) So I'm thinking there must be Thousands of you guys operating Saitek Yolks etc. Any Help or advice would be very welcome. At the time, I used a little lua script that displayed vertical rate at touchdown for a few seconds. Then, this script stopped working on p4d. Now I read somewhere that with the current uipc it should work again. my question is basically, is it true and can anyone attach the code as I don’t seem to find it.

It seems that the "Prepare3D Guide" from Rob A. is no more available here on AVSIM. Unfortunately, I cannot find it in my backups. Any other way to get a copy?

Hi guys. My click spots for the pop up windows aren't working at all. Just bought P3D.V4 and PMDG 737 (I've flown the PMDG 747 FSX-SE for a while with no probs) but thought I'd give this P3D.V4 a go. Purchased the PMDG 737NGX but from the outset (just this week) the click spots have not worked. I noted some really old posts on this topic so suspect that no one else has this problem. I googled "click spots not working" thinking that if PMDG had a solution in their knowledge base my Google search would have found it. No luck so now I'm reaching out. Thanks in advance guys Paul
