Hi, I love Enhanced Atmospherics in P3D v5 and do majority of my flights with it. However, in some cases it looks rather bad (mostly during late sunset/sunrise with lots of clouds and when there is snow precipitation), so I turn it off for my late sunset/sunrise and snowy winter flights. Given that I already have Active Sky P3D and ASCA, which one do you recommend to improve non-EA experience and why? Could you please post some screenshots of both? My main issues with non-EA are bad sky colors (the ones that come with ASCA), bad looking sun, moon and Milky Way textures. i noticed at FB KDEN-HD operating jetways are missing, and when i looked under Add-ons on the top menu bar there is nothing there anymore re SODE whereas there used to be. I ran the SODE Program Manager, it says it's Active and Registered, and I tried deactivating/reactivating, same for registration, but to no avail. At the top of the manager is says: SimConnect NOT INSTALLED! Do I need to resintalled P3D 4.5, or SimConnect? I'm not finding how to install SimConnect! Thanks!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but it's not clear to me. I know I have to download and install the full sim again (5.2.22.27615). I didn't do 5.2 before the hotfix, so I'm installing hotfix 1 straight up. What isn't clear: do I delete the entirety of v5.1 first? In other words, I'm downloading 5.2/hotfix now, do I then uninstall 5.1 and then install 5.2/HF afresh? Thanks!

Using 5.2 and ASP3D (7851), descended into TBPB with a thunderstorm and CBs around. Some lightning flashes appeared as 'black' flashes. Some lightning appeared as normal, but others were black squares that flashed. Is this a known issue?

Hey guys, I think Rain & EA on is still an issue in P3D. Last days I had a lot of rain and I see again the issue that P3D is not showing precipitation sometimes. It could not be an issue with Active Sky I guess cause I hear the rain, FSLabs is also showing the rain on the windshield but the precipitation effect of the sim is missing. Turning EA off -> rain is there, EA on again -> rain is gone :( Does anybody experience same and probably know a solution for it? It does not happen all the time, sometimes the rain is showing normaly which is really strange.

Hi everyone I’m having an issue installing ImagineSim KATL. After putting in my order number and email it says that there is a verification problem and that it can’t install on my computer. I'm wondering where I can find information about the VDGS Systems on US Airports. Flytampa Las Vegas and Bosten have VDGS, Flightbeam has something in KSFO (Traffic Lights from SODE), there are some kind of VDGS in ImagineSim Austin and Taxi2Gate Orlando. I'd like to update them with the SODE VDGS system, but I can't find any information which airport has VDGS and which type. In Europe I'll find the info in the charts from Navigraph, but nearly no info for the US in these charts. Has anyone more info? Will be great. Thanks Urmel

Hi everyone I'm using P3D 4.5 and just started using FFTF. I'm very happy with the performance - on ground, departure and arrival, performance is just great and I have no stuttering at all. However, occasionaly I am getting blurries at altiduon the descent phase of the flight, slightly after TOD, which is puzzling me. Since at this point the FFTF value is actually higher, why is this happening? This happens both in AGL and FPS modes. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be most grateful. Cheers

Hi I wonder if anybody feels like sharing what their "go to plane is and why they choose that particular one. At the moment I am getting used to RealAir's incredible Turbine Duke so that is mine as I find it a pleasing challenge although I hope the real plane is a little more forgiving as RA's, no doubt accurately, tends to overstress the minute you neglect for an instant. I believe it is due to that fact that it is an unnatural entity since the Turbine is after market. I'm trying to set up a 180° FOV setup in P3D similar to what I have working in X-Plane. I have three large 43" 4K displays spaced 60° apart in a semi-hexagon such that each display has a 60° horizontal FOV and a 36° vertical FOV. I can create three separate cameras for each view (-60°, 0°, and +60°) in P3D easily using the custom camera menu, but it doesn't let you do it starting from the "Cockpit" view that shows the forward view only without the aircraft model being rendered. I then create two daughter child views for the left and right displays and then assign the cameras to each view to get the full 180° horizon just as if you were in an actual aircraft. …

Hello, I have this bug where no matter which airport I fly into, default or payware, I have this weird bug where the PAPI lights start floating above the airfield and descend as I gradually get closer to the runway. Can't seem to find the answer to this question. I'd like to install LatinVFR's KFLL again, as I like the airport, but the PBR textures eat up a huge chunk of my VRAM and I'm just not so much a fan of this airport that I'm willing to sacrifice that VRAM for it. I have the 'no PBR' version installed for LatinVFR's KMIA, but wasn't sure if a similar option exists for KFLL? Any ideas?

Hello All, I've just purchased ChasePlane, for use with P3D 5.1, however after installation I get the error message: 'It looks like something unexpected occured. A log file has been saved on yout Desktop' The main feature of the log file is: Exception: Could not load file or assembly 'SlimDX.dll' or one of its dependencies. is not a valid Win32 application. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1) I contacted Parallel 42 support and they sent a link to install 'SlimDX Runtime .NET 4.0 x86 (January 2012)' which I have done but unfortunately didn't resolve the issue. Bit of an odd request, this, but does anyone know of an easy (read: quick) way to find a particular historical date when the weather in a given region was within certain parameters? When I fly I tend to fly in historical time rather than live time, because I usually sim at night or weekends, but mostly fly with the sim set to daytime hours during the week. So for weather with ASP3D etc I like to have historical weather that is realistic and changes, rather than setting a global weather theme. But sometimes I want particular weather conditions - for example, right now I'm looking for a day in the recent past where it was clear across most of Western Europe with maybe …

Hello, I've recently tried to make the PA/Wilco A380 merge (which has been available for FSX/FS9 for quite a while now) work in p3d v4+. The merge conversion pretty much over... there's only one and the most important of all thing left to make the aircraft "fully-functional" and that has to do with the gauges. The gauges that the original merge uses are 32-bit which is basically the only reason as to why this merge can't be used in a 64-bit sim like p3d v4+, all that needs to be done is convert the dll files into a 64-bit format and in order to do that... source-codes are required. I have a problem that's I've had for a while now that ASCA will not use Envtex sky colours, it will only use Horizon, Instinctive 1,2,3,4 as they are the only WX profiles that are ticked, Envtex is set to use Envtex sky textures only in Envtex and sky colours is only ticked in ASCA, this is confusing, do I have to manually tick the profiles in ASCA for Envtex sky textures to be called or should it be automatic, and if so how do you know which profiles should be ticked to suit the time of day, all folder paths are checked and correct, can anyone give some advise? this is with P3DV4.5 HF3. I have moved recently to 5.2HF1 and noticed that night lighting system (roads, airports' taxiways. buildings etc) are being activating very late, when there is almost a darkness (the otherwise is correct for the morning times). I remember it was a trick back to V3-V4 times when it was possible to manipulate timings to activate/de-activate night lightings. Any hints or this trick is dead for the V5? Thanks

Hi Guys hope you are well. Having some spare time at the moment and decided to fire up P3D V4.5, now i have not really used the sim since purchasing as still using FSX as my main flight sim (yep there are still some of us left and not ready to join the MSFS bandwagon just yet). I am looking for a good baseline for a graphics set up. My system comprises of an I5 9600K overclocked to 4.8Ghz with a GTX2080 and i am running a single 60hz 1080p display. Quick question... Still using 4.5HF2 and extremely pleased. The only issue is the draw distance of detailed water. I notice right under the plane is beautifully detailed, has the reflections glimmering based on sun direction and looks great but then it very quickly transitions to this flat dull horrible looking textures. LOD on land doesn't seem to be an issue, it's just very apparent over open water. Is there any way to increase the LOD and draw distance "specifically" of the water details? Thank you in advance as always!
