If I want to keep UTX USA and Europe active in those regions where would I need to place Vector in the scenery library for the rest of the world? Thanks!

Hey I own several Airports in north america and today I bought and installed some airports in Australia. I also got the AU Blue region. After installing all the sceneries, i started FTXCentral to change re applied region to "Oceania". But the Oceania entry is missing. There are only "Default" and " North America". De- and reinstalling the sceneries don not help. I also installed the latest FTX Libraries. Does anyone know the issue or experienced the same? Since I can't apply oceania, the scenery is not shown correctly in FSX... Thanks in advance for the help

I am downloading the new nvidia driver released today. 332.21. Does it possibly do anything better for P3Dv2? I do not have much hope though...

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, but I've already been gleaning a ton of great info and have had positive experiences interacting with a few of you already! I'm smack dab in the middle of my very first simulator/cockpit build and I am intending to use P3Dv2 (and probably x-plane 10, interchangeably) as the simulation of choice. I've been thinking a lot about how to do the instrument panels. I think I am settled on it being a bit of a hybrid of some saitek hardware for radio stack stuff, and some form of monitor behind my yoke for the primary flight instruments. Originally my plan was to connect a 4th monitor (I've got an nvidia GeForce 600ti with 3 LCD tvs …

Hi all, I've seen it mentioned in several places that some P3Dv2 users routinely clear their shader or scenery shader cache?? What is the purpose of this, is it worth doing on a regular basis and what files do you delete to let the sim rebuild? Thanks

I currently have UTX USA and EUROPE and was wondering what the difference between the ORBX Vector and LC products are exactly? Is vector just roads and rail and LC the land class? Do both/either require FTX? Thanks?

With all the pro's and con's traffic over your most recent release, VECTOR, I would just like to acknowledge between those posts...., and to thank you for the great support and freeware airport packages (six to date!) ORBX has released for the heightened, user enjoyment of your FSX-G product. This product has changed the game-play for FSX and myself. I just updated FSX-G to v1.20 from off your support page, along with the rest of the airport packs I did not have installed as of 1/1/14. The airports are simply wonderful, and make FSX-G that much more valuable to this user. Thank you ORBX as the umbrella org behind these releases. I look truly forward sometime this y…

Hey all, Is it just me or is everyone else having problems getting on to the forums over at Prepar3d.com/forums site?? The two sites that really need some performance work are Prepar3d forums and Avsim forums as they both are quite delayed when loading at the best of times (at least from New Zealand). Comments welcome.

I bought P3Dv2 today and been fiddling with it 6-7 hours now.. I installed Orbx NIR and doing my testing and comparizon with FSX in this area(Belfast City Airport). In FSX using payware GA planes I get constant 30 FPS and a stutterfree expirience, in P3Dv2, I get 15-20FPS and stutters using default planes... I have tried disabling all shadows, HDR, lowering autogen, disabled tessalation etc etc but it doesn't help. If Im Lucky I can get upto 22FPS in short periods but with that super performance I have pretty much disabled everything and I might aswell have installed FS9 because thats what it looks like after tuning the settings.... In short, my FSX install runs like…

hey guys, I would like to know how to change the view in spot plane to show the same placement when cycling through planes. You know when you hit shift A then the next plane shows in the screen. It is defaulted to the front quarter view but I would like to see it in a side view. I changed something a long long time ago in fsx but I don't remember how I did it (but it was probably someone on these forums that helped me;). Also if I cycle through the planes to0 many times prepar3d crashes always crashes. Which I think is probably due to too much data being processed or something like that. There is no oom message it just crashes to desktop. Something that I am living wi…

Good day everyone Well I have tried many different things and not able to see the complete Fuel and Payload Dialog Box. I really don't want to do a re-install but will try it if there are no other options. Please see the image I have linked to - hopefully it works. You can see there are no scroll bars or any way to view the Payload section. It does this on all my panels that fall below the bottom of the window. My system is: Prepar3d v2 Graphics set to 1920 x 1080 x 32 Desktop is set to 1920 x 1080 Windows 8 (unable to upgrade to 8.1 due to known bug in upgrade. Anyone have a clue how to resolve this please? I have posted it in the Prepar3d forum but so …

I have used FSX since god was a lad, however I am now considering whether to leap into the new territory of Prepar3d. My only concern is my setup, it is now a few years old and I really don't wish to do a complete re-build. Any advice would be good at this stage. I am already thinking a new Graphics card is required so I am looking at a Gigabyte GeForce GTX770 Windforce 3x OC 4096mb GDDR5, also with a potential problem with power I am getting a new PSU (Corsair RM750) My concern is that even after this my cpu will not be up to the job, I have an Intel i7 920 2.6 OC to 3.8. I also have 6gb of RAM. Money is a bit tight so at the moment it wil be the GPU and powe…

I just downloaded and installed the latest FSUIPC for P3D. Got it install and manage to get it working but when I go to add-ons and FSUIPC settings window, I have no options to really configure anything. I thought there was a demo/trial mode where you are able to at least use it but with limited options and features?

95% of the crashes I have are entering and exiting a menu.. The latest one I just had.. I was flying for 5 minutes and decided I wanted to change the weather.. Hold ALT to bring up the menu bar, navigate to settings/weather *click*......*CRASH dinput8.dll*....................................... man should I go old school and drop UIAUTOMATION.DLL in my sim directory? ridiculous.. I can fly for hours with no problem but the menu system is a joke Before that The one before that and before that and yes all my .NET frameworks are up to date

Not sure but I read on here that a few users report that they get better performance by adding the affinity mask line into there p3d.cfg. Well I tried this and it crashed p3d upon startup. Any ideas?

There was this feature in EZDok Cam where you hold the middle mouse button while moving your mouse, you can pan your view around. Right now in order to do this you have to hold spacebar while you move the mouse. Is there a way you can change this somehow and assign the middle mouse button to pan around instead of holding down the spacebar? It feels a lot better and more natural this way.

I used to have my Garmin 695 connected to Xplane and was great practice, it was quite difficult to setup though. I read somwhere in FSUIPC that this can be done in Prepar3D. Has anyone has this setup working with the real GPS?

I am fooling around with my settings in P3D and noticed I have tessellation full right. That might be a bit too much and causing some problems. However, I don't have a clue what the various settings for tessellation do... Anyone has an idea what a difference that slider might make? (I can of course simply test it and I will but it's a bit hard to test if you don't know what to look for in the sim.)
