Seeing as once the 777-300ER comes out, the 747-400v2 is the next all-new product that we'll be getting from PMDG, unless the DC-6 busts out ahead. I've been wondering if PMDG will model the Domestic -400D, the combi -400M, and the Qantas -400ER models along with the standard -400 and the -8. Any thoughts?

  5. The other day I received my extended download for the PMDG 777-200. I then proceeded to do a clean install. Current version I have of the PMDG 777-200 - 1.10.6036 Current version I have of the PMDG 737ngx [600,700,800,900) 1.00.3219 Thus, here is the error message that I get: The simulation may not function properly if you switch from one PMDG aircraft to another PMDG aircraft. We strongly encourage you to load a default FSX aircraft, or close and restart FSX prior to selecting another aircraft. Is this a normal error message ? I never saw this before. My planes are flying well of course I am going by this error message. Anything I am missing here …

Will pmdg get fsgrw to work with the 777 radar at some point? Or will it be only exclusive to ASN?

I had F 10 assigned to bring up the upper panel, but with SP 1 that's gone. Problem is, I've forgotten how I did it. I know it was pretty simple and I think was connected to the aircraft or the panel config file. Could anyone help me out on this? I'll write it down this time! Jack Fentress

hello guys. i would like some help with buying a new desktop. I want to be able to run fsx with reasonable frame rates. my budget is 1700 pounds sterling. i am looking at alienware at the moment but any other suggestions would be really helpful. I know this topic has been raised here numerous times but i feel it may be outdated as new processors and graphic cards are released every time. i look forward to hearing from you. i don't mind saving up extra money until i can get a rig that i can use for a long time. its funny that fsx was created long ago still most modern day computers can't still handle it. Does PMDG plan to release standalone updates to the OC center, or will these all be from inside the OC center alone from now on?

  10. Started by calooom,

I love the PMDG Ops Center. I think it's an incredible and revolutionary tool that will no doubt be continued to be updated in line with all of the upcoming projects. However, I hope maybe there's been some updates to come along with SP1/-300. If so, can any of it be shared?

Full Story: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2452701/flight-simulator-is-dead-but-microsofts-revered-game-will-be-revived-under-a-new-name.html Microsoft abandoned its revered Flight Simulator series years ago, but the underlying technology is about to make a comeback. Dovetail Games, a company best known for the Train Simulator series, has licensed the Flight Simulator engine from Microsoft and plans to release a new game in 2015. While the game won't be an official “Microsoft Flight Simulator” release, it will be based on the same technology. Dovetail will also re-release 2006's Microsoft Flight Simulator X through Steam. While the deal doesn't allow Dovet…

Captains! As we move into the release phase of this project- I thought I'd give you a few updates as to where this is headed!1) I have just released a final version to our beta team. It incorporates a few last minute fixes that they requested.2) I have heard from Rich Harvey regarding a fix that he has been researching for us. It is a nusance item with the manner in which the visual model is transitioned from day to night... He expects to have the results of the fix tested by mid-week, which will allow us to confirm that we can go ahead with a release!3) Our beta team has done a fantastic job of beating us about the head and shoulders for even minor flaws in this airpla…

Hello everyone. I'm thinking about upgrading to Windows 8.1 soon but I don't know if the PMDG 737 NGX and 747-400 work. Has anyone tried it or know anyone that has tried it? What was the result? Thanks, Stephen Hobson

  14. Hey guys, I found that after installing SP1, some light control knobs appear to dramatically affect performance when they are used. Here is an example: The worst as you can see is when the MASTER BRIGHTNESS knob is being used. Is this normal? such a thing doesn't happen in my NGX so I'm a tad confused. Cheers!

  19. Hi Guys, a few days before I purchased the 777-200 incl. SP1 and all went well. I really love this aircraft! Today I was in the mood to take a flight with my old 737 NGX and here it begins: Prior to downloading and installing the 777, I followed the given instructions in this forum to delete the old 737NGX liveries. After installing the 777, i reinstalled 777 and 737 liveries using the new operations center. All went well and the liveries are ok in 777 and NGX. But if i choose any 737NGX in FSX the program requires my activation code. Well, inconvenient, but no problem I thought. ( The NGX was a box purchase from amazon). But now it tells me that my activation l…

Hello,I have had the PMDG 747X for a while, and only recently an issue has arisen with this product.A few days ago I altered the VC gauge refresh rates for the 747 for better performance. Since then, all of my aircraft gauges have frozen up at various times during my flight. Once it was just before touchdown, another time I was on approach, and another time I was at cruise. My gauges simply freeze up, and no longer function as they should. On one occasion, I noticed that I could no longer change any switches or dials at all (i.e. the light switches on the overhead). One of these instances was followed by an Out of Memory error, however, I don't understand how this is poss…

  24. Hi all! Hoping to hear some opinions on which heavy aircraft you prefer to use. I'm not a long-haul flight simmer; in fact, I'm pretty set on buying the 737NGX for my regular 1-2 hour short hops. But I do like flying heavy aircraft from time to time, just for the fun of flying a larger plane, even if it's a short route. Every once and awhile, I'll set up a long haul flight overnight, engage LNAV/VNAV (or just LOC in the default planes) at cruise altitude, and fly the airplane down from T/D in the morning. (So, you can see, definitely not a dedicated long-hauler! Life, to me, is too important to sit in front of a screen on cruise mode for 10 hours ) Anyway, sim philosophy…

  25. Started by Richard McDonald Woods,

Now that I can fly the 300ER, I have to say that I shall be VERY satisfied for a long time. I couldn't care about any other aircraft developments. I still have a massive amount to learn from both the manuals and my favourite flying long hauls across all 5 other continents, so shall be deeply satisfied with the 777 that I have got. Yes, there is still a lot of additional OrbX scenery to come and FS2Crew 777, but my cup already overflows. Many thanks for all of the work PMDG have put into the 777. You have given me extending horizons to my favourite hobby! Cheers, Richard
